I had dominos last night, i used to work at little Caesars, went to pizza hut for years, poppa johns is good, papa Murphy's is an opinion for sure, hit and miss if you will. Dominos is a beast! Dominos has a crust with flavor and it has the best underside, and you can get a large 2 topping carry out for about the same as a little Caesars pizza. Dominos all the way, did i forget to mention that dominos has a menu very similar to pizza hut, the difference is dominos is cheaper, yet really intense on delicious flavor.

I'm from Holland and I thought hash browns was short for hash brownies and I thought they would just go around and try different hash brownies, so I got all excited. But now I'm just watching them eating fried potatoes and I'm very sad about it.

In Australia we have two or three fast food chains I can think of that make hash browns. You guys have wayyy too many fast food options .... but oh so delicious lol
Where are you from and what do you have? We also have hash browns that are shredded potatoes and fried in a pan that are served in sit-down restaurants. Home fries are small pan fried pieces of potatoes (ranging from a fourth of an inch to half a small potato) that I as a child insisted were called hash browns as well.
I'm from Birmingham in the UK, ours are generally made from finely diced onion and potato fried in vegetable oil. The shape varies from oval to rectangular depending on where you go (some don't even have a shape and are just fried loosely and served as is) but they're usually about an inch or side wide and maybe a centimeter thick.
i live in the US and usually they are shredded or diced loose potato fried in oil with onion. the ones in the video are primarily fast food hash browns which are probably frozen and then deep fried in those shapes for portability.
How to make Hash Browns (my recipe) -Grate potatoes and cheese -Mix these together along with some salt and pepper, and any other seasonings you desire -Make them into flat shapes -Pour a few tablespoons of vegetable oil into a frying pan and fry your browns on each side (that sounds dirty) Enjoy.
Your recepie sounds quite a bit like the "covered" hash browns I have ordered at Waffle House in the past. (And, yes, that is a good thing.) Have you ever considered adding onions to your potatoes and frying them together?

It is grated potato, put together in patty form with either the starch that came out when you grated the potato, or a little flour to help glue it together. It is then fried to give a crispy outside.

Tbh I've always wondered about that too. Maybe it's because most of us get breakfast on the way to school or work or wherever, and it's easier for me to pop them in my mouth while I'm driving than it is to get really big ones.
Why are the hash browns so tiny? In Australia you get usually two hash browns the size of your hand. I never thought I'd see a food America didn't do bigger.
DemonBlood6 I don't think there is a Taco John's in that area of California. My cousins and aunts live in that area, and they didn't know what I was talking about when I asked them about Taco John's. It's quite sad because for at least a month I don't get to have delicious tacos and hashbrowns.
No they are not I live In the UK and I knew as soon as they get to mcds it's would be the best, maybe it's just the area you live in, you can't really say the whole of the UK.
