2:25 I ment to say lower not higher f*ck. We also get the same selector in late September. You should reach the selector by the 25th, need level 40 (check in main menu -> rewards -> gift of starlight). I'm torn between Luna and Rosetta. If I get Luna, I can field a Luna/Vera/Kamui team for dark and do well (as soon as I can get them leveled/geared). On the other hand, I plan to go SSS on Balter, so I think about getting ahead on her physical team. Luna is probably the better pick, since that will give me the strongest team I can make in the shortest possible time.
The thing is that Luna IS the dark team straight out the gate, while rosetta is just a buff for balter. Also that buff is dependent on extra investment.

Just a heads-up as someone who's had Luna since her release. She ain't easy to play optimally. To get the most out of Luna u need to save your matrix dodge till AFTER she enters her core passive mode. It may sound easy but trust me it's not. If u matrix dodge before her core passive your ultimate gets delayed which is annoying in warzone

@@Nadeem19000 Who the hell did you hear that from? No, Base S Dark Karen does MORE Dark Resist shred than Tenebrion. From what I looked up on the Fandom Wiki, Tenebrion does AT MOST 10% Dark Resist shred. Hammer Karen does 15% at base S Rank, and 25% with her 6 Star weapon. The SS Rank is to let her shred enemy resist ON-FIELD more reliably. She still does all of her resistance shred through her QTE with no need for extra rank passives. Giving her weapon and SS blows Tenebrion out of the water. People just say Dark Karen's a skip just because it takes her a little more investment to make her deal more on-field damage than a SS or higher Tenebrion with his 6 star weapon. But once you get to that slightly higher investment level for Karen, her damage skyrockets so much higher than Kamui's.
Plume is my definite pick. I’ve had her memories saved since the start of pulao patch to get her. I could use Luna but I’m not a meta slave so she’s low on the list unless I can get lumi by the second selector

So I've seen a few clips of alpha crimson weaver and I want her more than anything but she isn't out yet right? I've heard she's supposed to come out like beginning of 2024. Is there a way to kind of guarantee her as f2p? Like, is it worth to start saving already or should I start saving later or will they make another S rank selector after she comes out or is there just any good way to get her in the future? @@ptm_tobi Sadly the only way to guarantee her is by saving enough black cards for the pity, since the S rank selectors only let you choose from some of the older characters, I'm going to do the same thing because I really want to get her. Btw for full pity you need 15000 black cards, considering you can get 5000 bc every month (take or give), you should have to grind consistently for around 3/4 months to reach pity, these are purely based off my own calculations so you can probably get more than that.
My heart says Alpha because I just like the way she fights with the quick draws but man... I don't know whether I should just go for Plume instead since she won't get outclassed anytime soon
Imo, Alpha's play style just isn't as fluid as later constructs, Plume just flows better. Alpha's later construct fits the quick movements better, her first looks cool, but once you play it you'll notice you feel more locked in place than others. Plus Phys Bianca is a way more fun pick imo, so if you picked Alpha she'd just get replaced by someone who you probably would want to play more imo. I'm not saying Alpha is bad, but if it's Plume vs Alpha and you're only going to get one, go Plume. But hey, if you're still unsure after Plume pretty much being the "better" pick and most saying to choose her, then you probably really want Alpha so I'd just go her.
I am actually kind of torn between Bianca, Rosetta and Kamui, since if I get bianca, I finally have a reason to to replace my Lucia dawn as a lightning dps. But on the other hand, Rosetta could work really well later down the line with the new ascension update and Kamui would work as my tank for my main dark team.
I came across this as a returning player and I'm starting to think that the best 3 choices might either be Plume, Luna or Rosetta. I already have Alpha and can make better use of the team with Rosetta in it as well as being able to use the budget team for Plume or I could put some more time into getting the other characters for the budget dark team for Luna.
Welp this solidifies my pick for Luna over alpha. I am already running the ice meta team as its my most invested best team, and I already have rosetta. Sucks that the main pick I wanted isn't included in this selector but the one we should be getting next year.
You'll be able to get free Luminance from BP and another base Srank selector om Abystigma update, so maybe packing shards to SS someone would be more vsluable?
@@Carsu12Imo they shouldn't unlock a character through shards, it's a big no no since shards are wasted. But yes as you've said they can still get Lumi in Abystigma patch, so upgrading someone to SS rn is also a good choice. You can use shards from bp for upgrading to SS instead.
Definitely grabbing Luna. My favorite construct is XXI and I need Luna to complete my dark team. I don’t care about S Kamui. XXI, Luna and Vera Rozen are all I need.
If I'm not mistaken, Glory, Garnet and Emphyria will be added to the next next S rank selector on Crimson Weaver event but we will wait a long time until around February 2024

@@skultech To be fair, not going Tenebrion for the first few months was "insane". He was the main dark unit, and brought in a fun play style, solid tanking for beginners, and he is just now getting replaced. Luminance is great, however we already had a physical healer, and with Alpha on Global release and Rosetta being the other big phys mainstay, your phys healer is generally just running the QTE set, not actually being played. So unless you had a clear favorite, Tenebrion just brought too much to the table.
I'm picking Luna as she's the last S attacker in my roster to reach SS. Decided to make her last cuz she got her sig weapon. After I'm done with Luna I can proceed with flashbang and the Me-tanks. But still, knowing that Karen-chan is either forced to retire on field or become dv bot still hurts cuz I simp hard and will simp harder when her dark frame arrives.

I love Tenebrion, so I'm seriously considering choosing him so I can get copies. I've been playing for little over a year and I have only two base S rank constructs (not including Ascendants), Tenebrion and Veritas. They really did my waifu Karenina dirty. I wish I did more research on future content before I spent a warehouse load of serum on resonating and hypertuning Shakespeares for her. I have a Nanami Pulse with full Davinci/Einsteina, but I think I’m gonna purposely go sub-optimal and keep using my sassy fire bae as the blue slot on my Starfarer team. Pulled Starfarer on my 41st pull. Now I have to get the new exclusive memory set and her 6 star weapon which won’t at all be a soul crushing experience. If I pull the 5 star first, I honestly might just stop there and settle for less damage.
Plume and luna are the best choice. Bianca veritas if u want play save, shooting from long range. Rosetta kinda meh, most boss have super armor, and some have unremoveable super armor. Physical team are bad.
Man, I'm so torn between choosing Luna or Alpha. I'm currently saving for Crimson Weave who's gonna come out sometime next year so Alpha is probably gonna get outclassed if I choose her anyways, but man I just really like her as a character. I'm probably picking Luna, but this is still gonna be a bit of a tough decision.
Most likely will go for Alpha. Sorry Veritas, but the sword waves have been waiting for so long. I’m also saving for Bianca alter so I can just make an ultimate sword wave team with her, 2B and Alpha. It’s gonna be FUN.
@@pappa_panda There are some specific event missions for it, only 6 of those missions are available atm and 6 more will be available tomorrow, you need to complete 15 of them to get the selector.

@@pappa_panda I don’t think so, except for the phantom pain cage mission which needs 40 lvls and completing some of the story chapters, and so far I don’t see any mission that has to with the babel stages yet.
I'll probably grab Luna since Uncle Wata's back is broken from carrying my Dark Team for so long. Then try grabbing Rosetta later when i had the opportunity
I started in late January and didn't get Liv Emp for lack of BC. I'm planning on getting Luna this month for my dark team, Rosetta in Sept for Bianca Aby and Vera Garnett in February for Alpha CW. Someday Liv 😢. I wish for Plume too, but I'm also missing Glory so Ice is low on my list.
Harsh, yeah you'll have to play catch-up for a bit, but luckily with some older characters being replaced by better versions, you won't need to pick up everyone unless you're a collector/really want them.
the upcoming Karen is the biggest skip for me, chose teneb from free selector early game got his SS from base banner just recently,and his sig from base wep banner with the free pulls. Guess we were fated after all
She fun until you ain't having any blue orb. And tbh, Crimson Weave (New Lightning DPS) is coming so it's way better to get the others. I suggest you getting Plume, Rosetta or Luna, or at least Luminance if you have the 3 aforementioned since she will be hugely buffed soon, and final warning, Meta matters more than fun gameplay in most scenarios.
I have Plume (Which is my fave character until Crimson Weaver releases next year February). I kinda want Alpha "YOWAI" but I feel Luna would be the smarter choice for my account. So I will most likely be choosing Alpha....I mean Luna... Maybe Alpha 🤔
The verdict is I will pull for Luna. I recently got the play as Alpha and Luna again. Luna just wipes enemies plus she's better in the long term. I will skip Alpha and get Bianca when she comes out in September. Bianca gameplay does looks more fun.
Hello, I just knew this game from a video (Alpha and Vergil edit), so far I watched all PGR combat videos and maybe I should try a bit. I think I'm gonna pick Luna here, because I like 21's design too (Her ultimate, just wow, and she's a tanker?) Also Luna's gameplay reminds me of Herrscher of Void from Honkai Impact

I'm a new player and it doesnt matter what anyone says I just can't say no to Alpha. Plus I got my heart ripped out yesterday getting Rigor when I wanted Garnet as my first (aside from the free beginner) S rank, but at least shes great for Alpha i guess...
You arent really punished for outdated units in pgr. As a honkai( or formerly) i can say if you find her fun she can do well within her capabiities where content is concerned. If physical bianca isnt youre speed then alpha is youre other option
Man i'm really torn on what to do with the selector, from the recommendations i only lack Bianca, Liv and Alpha, but i do have a 5* wpn S nier team as a suboptimal physical replacement, so i guess Bianca will end up being the choice
I think liv will be better because most of the lighting’s team damage come from vera (and you can use dawn for managing her downtime she ain’t bad)and liv will be the strongest physical buffer so yeah but if waifu than definitely bianca😂

@@elterrorport first of all some unfortunate news we can’t save this selector for future means it will expire after this patch ends and i even if S liv will be deadweight for 4 months i think it will still be worth it because alpha would be replaced in 4 months and everyone will get bianca so when you get her you will be glad you choose s liv rather than alpha i think you should bear with it for 4 months than have a monster physical team
I shouldve watched this months ago i picked selena for the s rank selector not knowing she was already free in another permanent event + i picked luna for the other one too, and i built a rank 21 ONLY 😭 so i kinda struggled, i resonated and hypertuned her memories and she was good but man i didnt have any other characters so it was hard in ppc and wz since my only character built was dark and i also kept on pulling and not saving and i regret that now, i really want brs and lamia but i need like a lot of bc to get 60 pulls to be guaranteed so thats gonna be hard broo
i’m stuck on the s rank selector, I have a alpha SS with her signiature weapon but i also have kamui S and Vera A, i’m stuck on to either go for dark dps luna or get rosetta for my alpha, i’m thinking of getting luna rn until further notice, i can try n use kamui physical A for tank on my alpha team

I'm actually considering picking either Bianca or Alpha because for Bianca, well electro team but since i only have Lucia and Liv electro probably gonna be bad having 2 attackers. I'm actually thinking on pulling Garnet's banner for tank atleast but since i don't have much bc rn cuz i recently pulled Liv Emp welp ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. On the other side is Alpha because I like her play style and that's pretty much the reason why I want to pick her.
looks like that once the revamped beginner mission s rank selector (balter's patch) and bambanita is live in gbl, plume will become equal in priority with luna and rosetta

This really helps me figure out which free S rank character I should get since I alrighty got Lucia Plume, Karenia Ember (My first S rank when I first started a few months ago), Selena Capriccio, and recently got Vera Garnet. Still trying get to increase power on the teams I'm building so it's taken me some time before I progress even further in the story. I'm stuck on choosing either Luna and Rosetta they are both great help with either my dark for Luna or physical for Rosetta (Or even add her for my Lucia Plume team)

just returned mid patch, sadly missed a few things however i pulled Luna from arrival, chrome glory from standard and chose Plume from selector. My account went from only having budget physical team to having 3 full teams, yipeeee. (I had Alpha and tenebrion from when i started the game at the beginning of Global)

I have all of them besides the standard fire dps, plus I got one luna dupe which leads me to pick luna from this, picking another luna on the balter patch will make my luna sss and given even now cn hasn't gotten a better dps it's probably the best choice for me
i have 4 S-ranks i wanna pick from this Luna - i already have a built Dark Team, with Teneb and Rozen, and a SS Astral as DPS (aiming for SSS). I also have her signature weapon for some reason Plume - currently, Wanshi is my only built Ice DMG cons so uh, yea Rosetta - already have a budget Phys team with S Lumi, SS Nightblade, and SS Bastion (both Nightblade and Bastion i'm aiming for SSS), also have her pet Alpha - Motivation, cause yes
luckily I already have everyone you recommended in SS, except kamui and luminance, but my ppc skulls go to the new characters (like nanamecha and balter for example) and I don't intend to get dark karen, so I'm going with kamui this time, since it improves dark shred a lot
Thankfully I came back to the game on right time. Even tho I really want Alpha I think it's better for me to get Rosetta because I don't have any kind of physical damage units so I guess it's better to pick her to get more versatility.

I prefer Luna tbh BUT it is about who I need, I need Luna in my life but meh.. Talking about the game, who is better overall. PC. WZ, bable, border pact, stronghold. U know the most beneficial. Not to mention I will get Bianca abystigma for sure

in fact... i don't know... i only have A ranks like Vera: Rozen, No.21: XXI, and Watanabe: Astral and the other ones given by the start of the game and beginner logins, started the game like around june 19, 2023, and yes... that was around Haicma's release, so i don't know which element to start..., i still have my beginner S-selector since i haven't reached the basic construct pity (still at 36/40), so i haven't secured my first S-character just yet....
I mean, from most of my experience in Hero WZ, Entropy at SS kinda outperforms alpha. Due to actually using coloured orbs and having better aoe dmg. Sure her single target dmg is higher but I‘d argue that they are equal just in different gamemodes
I got Alpha 10 days after I started playing, so it's not on the list anymore-- I'm between Lucia Plume and Luna-- Only, the "Winter Sequence Defense" event is too hard for me and I don't feel like I'll be able to finish it to get the S rank free. :")
Of S ranks I have Kamui (two of them damn it) and Nanami (two of her too!) and Alpha. Have Bianca and Ember on another account that is the appropriate server but has less characters. So having a hard choice between Plume, Luna and Rosetta. But leaning Plume because i quite like Astral and the A version of Kamui with the counter (they should have more characters with counters). Leaning Plume but Luna is hard to pass up
I'm picking Luminance. She's one of two S ranks I don't have, the other being Karenina Ember. Ember has already been superseded as a DPS by Starfarer and Empyrea, while Luminance will get buffed in a few patches.

Im going for plume since i missed her in her rate up last time she showed up in event banner. She is the last piece that my ice team needed since i already have chrome and wanshi maxed out.
Me who doesn't have Plume or Luna: *FUUUUUUU......* Real talk now. Literally my only ice character is Wangshi, so I am in dire need of Plume. At the same time, Luna is the only one I'm missing to complete my VeraRozen-N21-Luna dark team. I even have a 5* weapon for Luna ready. I do not have Plume's weapon tho, and I don't wanna keep swapping the only Kuji-no-sad I have...
i'm definitely going for luna and rosetta during bianca abbys patch. fortunately already have bianca, plume for lighting and ice. and i only need dark and physical team...prob nvr gonna build fire team...the character for fire meta doesn't interest me at all
Im really torn between Lucia Plume and Luna. I really need a ice dps and lucia fits the bill for that perfectly. But then i consider the fact that Haicma's coming out next patch and she could do that just as well too.(Planning to SS her). Luna's a fantastic fit for Dark but i already have Camu at SS and use Transcendent team for - dark resistance. F2P experience is tough ;(
Haicma needs SSS + signature weapon to be usable but even then she doesnt come close to Plume's burst potential. Even I use SS camu for dark ppc ever since pulao's patch. Just like you, I was torn between luna and plume for this selector, but I finalised luna since that way I no longer need to struggle with dark content. I dont have chrome glory so if I do pick plume, Ill still have to make do with sub-optimal results on ice content AND continue coping on dark content. So Luna is the better option imo.
Yeahhhh haicma definately does not compare to lucia plume. Try both Luna and Plume in Cecelia class and see which one you like more! Can't go wrong with either of them, so the decision is yours.
I cant decide between Rosetta and Plume. My ice team is completely barren, but Abysstigma comes out soon. If I choose Rosetta now I will cripple my ice team until the anniversary selector in july
Which team members would you recommend for Bianca: Abystigma? I will use the character selection chest accordingly. I want to complete my dark or physical team accordingly.

Most of the meta in this S rank selector are only meta because no new characters of their roles are not released yet tho....once new characters of their roles release,they will be easily powercrept
