I'll be pulling Hyperreal not because he's meta or something... As a Lee fan, Three-Lee team is "a dream come true".

it's baffling to me that his first ult doesnt have timestop, but even ayla, a free amplifier, has timestop on the activation of her ult, which doesnt even do much damage. it's so strange they only put the timestop on his second ult, meanwhile everyone else got two (i think). maybe their idea was that they didnt want to break the fire team because, at the time of his release in CN, fire was the only team with 3 characters who had time stop, but idk... seems unfair. i will still pull him though

I don't care about the hates. All I need is a replacement for karerina (fire attacker).

His design is the sole reason I went for him, and his damage is a massive plus as well. He doesn't need to be the best at damage imo but be great enough that I want to use him. What really matters for me is a character's visual presentation and the consistency of design choices that allow for unique and fun gameplay. Lee's definitely has some of the coolest animations in the game for me so that's my main reason for pulling him. Watanabe may have outdps'ed him but Lee's gameplay drip is still top tier.

Just the lore behind how OP he is story-wise is enough for me to pull for him. And his gameplay looks dope af!

Lee is still gonna be one of the best Fire attackers for a long, long while so he's still very much important. And besides, if Live Empyrea got a Leap but Nanami got powercrept, who's to say that Lee won't get a LEEP (sorry) upgrade himself in the future?

It's heartening to see that there are still some Global Content Creators actively trying to clear up the misinformation surrounding Lee: Hyperreal. An alarming portion of the playerbase has definitely been baited by "Lee Skippable" agenda, so it's good that there are still some more objective, actually _explanatory_ sources of info regarding this weirdly divisive frame. 👍

His gameplay, imo, is the coolest even among the newer characters, I love my boy Lee everytime he's in the story and definitely won't be skipping him

the fact that i have heard him be constantly called the "true fire god" made me think he was just crazy cool to begin with... then i read the story bits and i just had to grab him. any character that has time travel bullshit in their story done well is a character for me. seeing how they handled it actually had me on the edge of my seat. like seriously. how does a mobile game do this to me? anyways ty for coming to my ted talk

Most F2P players don’t even stand a chance in competing with the P2W players, so you’re someone like me who likes meta but is F2P and always have second doubts before pulling for a character. Just pull for Lee if you like him, if you play the game with the characters you don’t like then it will just feel like a chore. I say prioritise fun over meta if you don’t plan on spending. (You can also just pull for the other characters in the future and imo won’t take that long especially if you still have story to clear)

For those that are going to skip him *(stay at the bottom of the leaderboard, makes things a lot easier for me)*

He looks cool, he can snipe, his kits looks awesome, gameplay looks insane and i am sure the story is going to go hard. I mean what more can anyone ask for? I don't understand why people hate him, his design looks insane. I can't wait get him stand in the spotlight of my full fire team, emp and nanami. A Lee Finally can rest!

This man, along with Lucia CW and Bianca Stigmata is what made me return to PGR after quitting for awhile lol. Absolutely fell inlove with his gameplay so of course I'm getting him

Even though he may be weaker than his other gen 2 attacker counterparts, I'd still pull for him anyways to reunite the Gray Raven squad.

I've got ALL the constructs and I've been a light spender, using the monthly and one of the battle passes. I have a bunch of cards saved so I'm GETTING the true firegod. I saw his frame in the live stream it was teased in and was one of the bois who LOVED him since the beginning. He's a homie and homies deserve respect.

I don't even try to understand whose dmg does better than who. I only learn their tricks to play and figure out which i feel most comfortable to play with. And as someone who has balter, i didn't feel that. Thankfully, i felt that with Lee hyperreal. ❤

If you're starting today, you still have enough time to SSS+ chrome arclight, doing so allows him to do 30% shred which is honestly great for an A rank, so if you're missing empy, and garnet, this is something you should consider.

I'm definitely rolling for him and his signature weapon since it will make fire WZ about 5x more enjoyable than using Pulse to stall for Empyrea and Starfarer. If Hestia somehow appears in my weapon banner rolls, it is perfectly fine.

Spoiler alert: Lee may be the weakest but in terms of lore, He is the only being who sides with humanity that was able to pass the trials of the tower and has the potential to reach the realm of god. Inside the tower, He is teh strongest being of humanity. The only beings that can beat him are ishmael and to an extent von neggut Fun fact: He is the first and only pro-humanity ascendant

I'm a relatively new player so I don't really have any good team comps yet, and this video gave me a good idea of what I want to go for I was already planning to get Lee Hyperreal and I love Watanabe, so Lee - Watanabe - Liv will be one goal (although waiting for Watanabe will hurt my soul deeply) I'm also planning to get Crimson Weave but quite honestly had no idea who her teammates would be, but now I'll definitely also be aiming for Crimson Weave - Vera - No 21 It doesn't have to be a competition if you just do both! xD

It feels weird to still call him hyperreal, I'm so used to getting attached to the name just for it to change.

they said I couldnt pull hyperleeal because of the BC drain. they said it'd take 15k BC. It only took 5k. and hey now I actually have a decent fireteam member!

I went for him because I love his story (no details because spoilers!). But he still is to this day one of my favourites to play (in JP server)

I sacrificed over 2 years of gaming to not follow the meta fire (skipped Nier team, skipped Palefire leap, my Ember is only S, no hypertune) and now I don't intend to suffer for another 10 months: with Hyperreal, I finally complete the real fire team!

i just got liv emp from the s selector from the wonderful spring gift (i think its called that) and FINALLLYYY, now i can think about whether to wait for wata or to choose pulse from the starter s selector which i dont want to do... plus saving up for lee (not beginnerrr)

Hey new player here. So for Warzone, do I need the specified element team (like if one stage has Lightning dmg bonus) or can I just use the units that I already have? Atm I'm using Abystigma with her budget team, so Physical team

I just started the game and picked phys support liv and rosetta. Right now i do not have a decent atker. Should i pull for lee or wait for bianca rerun if theres one?

Just got my S5 Hyperreal (not enough scars to go SS yet lol), his sign weapon, and his CUB with my SS Nanamech, even without Empyrea, my fire warzone score increased significantly so I have no regret lol can't wait for the next S rank selector to complete my fire team.

You should make a video about who of the upcoming characters to prioritize to SS with paincage skulls, since it is not posible to get the needed skulls for every new S rank in its debut.

Takeaway: We need more of the Lee x Watanabe agenda.

My mind has changed when I pulled him for 30 rolls and he comes to me. Also got his sig weapon in 17 rolls and now I’m still grinding for more 5 rolls to reach his CUB. First time I got him, I exchanged 4 Turing and 2 Cottie and he can solo Fire Warzone to reached 800k points with only 3 lv.45 Turing. That’s too far from my S chainsaw Nanami. It comes from 386k to 800k easily and I see this is a big W for me even he is the worst gen 2.

Lee is such a fun character to play.Imo He probably has 2nd most fun gameplay among gen 2 behind Alisa after trying him in Taiwan server. I just love character with guns so I'm hyped for him.

He is also good with 5* wep at ss.

Im playing until Alpha alter anyway so this guy is on my list. Not many frames are as stylish as Lee Hyperreal. Now if only the game put more emphasis on style instead of silly scores... oh well.

I got him from my guaranteed S rank off the A rank banner, doesn't feel good to play him yet but maybe when he gets his signature weapon. (I don't have a fire tank and use my Lightning team to pretty much brute force any warzone element atm)

I am definitely PULLING for Lee. I may not have both starfarer and empyrea but i can just completely forget about starfarer and pull for empyrea when the one time select rate up banner arrive. That way I can still get full meta team with vera from selector for lightning and Empyrea and lee for fire hehe

Ah, so this is why Empyrea showed up on the Arrival Construct banner, which goes a week into Lee's release. This is some really strong bait for someone like me who really only has an ice team from starting a couple weeks ago. Looks like I'll just sit until Feb for the Alpha/Vira-Garnet combo. I think I risk too much dumping my BCs into trying to get both Empyrea and Lee

I'm a new player and just started, so I was thinking skiping Lee because I played Honkai Impact 3 before and it was important there to have at least 1 full team so you can bruteforce content and I don't have any good fire units now, so I was really suprised when people said I should NEVER skip Lee. But I got Garnet from my 40 pity and budget Dark team to help me clear content and waiting for Crimson and Lamia (my beloved), so I'm gonna save my funds c:

Could use some help on debating whether if I should get Liv or Chrome Glory from the S selector. Currently have Bianca Stigma and is a monster on her own so I dont feel desperate enough to have Rosetta. I have Luna, Selena(SS), and Vera(SS) so its not needed. I have Nanami Star and does hold her own in PPC so adding Liv may be overkill, but welcomed nonetheless. Im using Lucia - Plume and so far she feels...underwhelming. I like her gameplay, but maybe its because I dont have her fully resonated yet? Perhaps grabbing Chrome - Glory could be a bit more helpful? Im up for any tips.

A little upset I don't have Liv-Empyrea, but unlike completely new players, I already have Vera Garnet and p much everybody else worth getting except for Luna-Laurel and Serena-Capriccio for the next S selector, and since I can't really complete Dark team without one or the other, as well as no Scire, I might have to just take the L on dark stages x.x RIP my SSS+ No.21 and SSS Vera-Rozen. They've been waiting for a dark DPS for so long lol. But idk, who would you recommend, Luna-Laurel or Liv-Empyrea in this case? Complete Fire team or have scuffed Dark team only to have the main DPS replaced 4 months later?

I have him at SS (got lucky with a super early extra copy at 3 pity) and his sig at like 5 pity he's amazing and I don't regret pulling him even one bit, I already have bianca alter and excited for new Alpha started playing around a month before Bianca alter xd

I messed up big time during Bianca's banner, was going for SSS but got busy and forgot... now she's one copy away and my limited banner pity is at 56/60. I'm getting at least one copy of Lee!

Is he even really that weak if all the content in the game is kind of either catered to specific elements/conditions or is just not so hard that you would care if the character is overpowered? Like - you'll never see Bianca outdamage Lee in a fire Warzone/PPC (unless she's hyperinvested ig) and you probably won't care if he's overpowered or not in any rogue-like modes (For example. You can put any other event mode here too). I guess maybe the only exception is Babel but 1 - it's not even around that long; and 2 - you don't even actually need to get that high of a level to get all the ACTUAL rewards. Not saying that the video is bad or that the information is useless because it's still good to know how units stack up against each other but I just personally feel like any new character is worth pulling, especially if you're a new player, because all new units end up stronger than whatever they're replacing + the game gives you enough BC to get all new characters so there's literally no excuse... ASSUMING THAT WE'RE BEING OBJECTIVE OF COURSE lul. If someone wants a weapon, cub or gacha skin for someone else which is, again, OBJECTIVELY SPEAKING not optimal as a F2P but I get liking certain characters to want to invest more into them, then I can understand skipping someone for the sake of that but any other reason I just don't get. I only have S Empyrea + sig with no Nanamech (started playing the game on her patch but didn't get to pull her). Do I still get Lee? My only "complete" teams rn are phys and dark. My ice team is missing chrome and lightning team is non-existent (tho i was planning to pull CW and get Vera from selector + i already have her sig ready).

Did some WZ with fire team sans Liv-Empyrea, and despite the guide recommending against pulling for him if you don't have both of his teammates, I got more than double my fire team score on an initial run without any optimization of ult usage from both Starfarer and Hyperreal. Anyone reading this, I would recommend you get him if you need a fire DPS and don't have any other upgrades you're looking for aside from future units (and/or saving up/hate male characters).
