I have super thick and long hair and wands require 3 times more work for me because I have to hold it there and cannot put as much hair on them. I recommend the soft curl 1.4" for girls with hair like me. Great review as always!

Love your reviews and tutorials. Such beautiful hair! Personal preference for your consideration would be to leave off the extensions in the tutorial and just do natural hair

Hi! Thanks for watching. I actually made the video with natural hair curled first, then extensions added so that you can see both ways. I personally think it's easier to see the curl pattern with extensions, as there is more hair to demo on. But this way you can see both with and without extensions :)

Hi Molly! LOVE this video. I have a question... I have recently been gifted a GHD Creative Curl Wand. I've used plenty of wands before and the curls always keep until the next time I wash my hair but with this wand, they fell out within a couple of hours!! Any advice!?

Hi Bailee! Were the other irons made from titanium? The ghd ones are made from ceramic, which is more gentle to hair. Titanium generally has higher heat and so it really curls, but with damage to hair. I'd try wrapping your hair slightly tighter around the barrel and hold for a few more seconds, then hold in place to cool. I also spray a little texture spray before curling if I want extra hold. I hope this helps! - Molly

I prefer to use a smaller barrel with shorter hair, so I'd probably go for the 1". I hope this helps!

i still don't know if i should do creative curl or 1" class curl..i have shoulder length hair but prefer a little bit of a tighter curl that extends into full wave. I'm using the ghd flat iron now and find it's really hard to not have the top be flat. What would you recommend?

Hi Julie! The classic curl wand is actually my favorite for volume at the roots. It's a really unique wave shape also. But the creative curl is nice too, if you are comfortable using wands! I hope this helps.

I love all ghd items but only thing that really is disappointing witch I thought they would have done by now and t it longer curling wands my hair is very very long tye size of these curling wand doesn't even manage to curl half strand of hair it's very frustrating for me also it takes me triple the time to curl all my hair because the curling wands are just not long enough someone who is able to contact the company please forward my message thank u 😀 hair looks beautiful though I must say x

Great video!!!!! Ok, so I have to ask, because I’ve been searching for a curling iron that helps hold my curl. I usually use a flat iron to curl, cause that’s the only thing that’ll help keep a curl in for longer. However, I prefer the curling iron curls better over the flat iron ones. How well do the curls stay with this curling iron? I have fine, straight hair, but a LOT of it. For $199 I want to know if this is worth it. Does it hold well in humidity? One more thing; the Living Proof texture cream, does that help set the curls, too? P.S. Wands don’t work for me. After about 30 minutes to an hour there are no curls left. :/

I find that with the ghd irons my curls last about 3 days if I let them cool and set properly before shaking them out to loosen them. And yes, I love that living proof amp, it really helps hold but doesn't add any weight!

Is the curls last long? I have a Dyson Airwrap now but the curls wont last an hour. I plan to buy ghd to try if it last the whole day.

The ghd are the longest lasting curls I've found. They are what I kept in my on-set kit when I did professional hair and makeup for this reason. The airwrap to me is more of a blowout styler, you can make the blow out curlier with the round attachments or straighter with the brush attachment but the end result will always be a blowout, whereas with a curling or flat iron you'll get curls or super straight hair. Hopefully that makes sense!

Thank you for a very helpful video! I have long hair which really doesn’t hold any curls. So am wondering if I should go for the classic 1 inch or the 1.25 inch. Soft curls just don’t do it for my long thick hair. And I want to curl towards the bottom of my hair. I don’t like volume around my face or shoulders. Hope I make the right decision !
