Which Goosebumps Cover Art Is Better? (Original vs New) 

While I agree that with you on the majority of them (you can’t beat the original art) it’s hilarious to me making a whole video just to pick one side because they’re “nostalgic and original”

Literally all of them “I love this cover classic and nostalgic”

I might be biased here because I grew up with the 2008 reprint cover but I think the reprint cover for “Night of the Living Dummy” is better than the og 😅

Honestly, this video was kind of pointless. Because if you were just gonna say all the originals were good, there was literally no point of making this video specifically, you might as well make a whole video about the newer covers and explaining why you think the originals did it better at that point. Also, I feel like your reasons why the originals are better just feel the same and they’re only in two words usually. Most of your reasons boil down to “it’s nostalgic or it’s a classic” which honestly can be said about the other covers that aren’t the originals because they aren’t too new either. Keep in mind that nostalgia usually has a lot of bias behind it, which no doubt will influence why you will pick the original over the other cover, which obviously feels a little unfair. So what I’m trying to say is, I feel like your decisions are too obvious, and not only that, you don’t have a lot to say even about the originals. Like I said you just kind of say it’s classic original or it’s scary or it was in the movie or of course “nostalgic”, you don’t really go into detail beyond that which makes the video feel a little boring and not informative at at all to why you made these decisions other than “nostalgia” If you really wanted this video to work, you should’ve tried to put a little more detail into your sentences like for example: I think the original cover is good because it has this creepy vibe to it that personally unsettled me as a kid or I think this cover works better as it really has a feel for the book better than the other one, etc. Basically have more sentences beyond just two or three words. I like the video, but it could’ve definitely been better.

Goosebumps has offically become a Halloween tradition for me. For the month of October i read as many as the books that I can, new or old, and watch the orginal tv episodes.

Original for all of them except Scarecrow Walks At Midnight and Ghost Next Door which i love both of them equally

Actually the new cover for The Scarecrow Walk At Midnight doesn't actually have a pumpkin head if you look closely you can see a stitch going through the middle of the head

I agree with you on all but one and that’s ‘Don’t Feed the Vampire’. I like the new one better than the original because it looks scarier and menacing than the original cover. But I do LOVE the original cover arts for the Goosebumps books. Jacobus’s art has a subtle creepiness and detail that really sends a chill through you whereas the newer ones… there’s no subtlety and it looks like it’s giving away too much before you read the book.
