First thing I did when I bought my Browning is I peeled the decal off the barrel

I love my Browning Hunter grade 1. It’s latest version of the hunter. Why is the hunter constantly overlooked and not considered. I find it to be an outstanding model. I added a half inch spacer at the recoil pad as well as extended Midas chokes. And now it is perfect.

Nice to see each of those guns at such a distance, its kind of hard to tell one from the other. But for a General review you made ur point.

I’ll add some criticism; was expecting a comparison of all grade 1 guns; browning, miroku, BERETTA etc. All similar grade guns, in a similar price bracket. But maybe that’s just me 🤷🏻‍♂️ Still a great way to spend 7min, regardless.

Great guns Browning they are all good ,like you say you need them to fit . So get your gun fitted its the most important bit.

Unfortunately for Browning- in the U.S.- their sporting guns have ported barrel's .. Which is a shame because I'm in the market for a sporting 20 gauge with adjustable stock and 30" tubes for sporting clay competition that's cheaper than my 12 bore Guerini Summit accent.. I will probably go with the F.A.I.R. sporting in 20 bore... I hate porting- does nothing for the sport except increased sound for your shooting partners... Browning/ Miroku in the U.S. have missed the market here with porting, those who do buy them have no ideal why no one wants to shoot with them.. Winchester has started porting their 101's which is shame..

Would the porting reduce felt recoil on the gun? I thought that was the advantage. That might not be necessary on a 20 gauge, but it seems beneficial on a 12 gauge.

@@Strub3 They say that but it has never been ballistically proven.. Why would I want holes in the barrel to decrease the gas pressure of the wad and shot column before it exits the barrel? I have never had a problem keeping barrels on the target after a shot.. I don't look at the barrel anyway.. I don't see any benefit other that a louder report to my fellow shooters.. It's a gimmick ... Peace.
