I'm still going back and watching and re-watching Ben's videos a year later lol ... I've been going strong since April 2020 and you guys can see my progress in my videos and Ben's sharing of my progress. Because I got forced into it really before I was ready because of the whole Covid crap I haven't been able to do much catering other than one birthday party and now coming up I'm doing a Halloween event in another week. They are paying me $1,000 to hand out hot dogs to about 100 people. I'm just using the cheaper dogs and only offering mustard and ketchup ... hugh profit margin. Ben wrote his book about how hot dogs saved his life, I need to write one about how Ben saved mine!!! and that's no lie!
You did help me out because I'm in Florida and a small town called plant City Florida and that's something that I am very interested in and from your point of view disappointed view the smaller the cart the better and then work your way up I got it where are you located at and a small cart for myself and my wife what do you recommend and how much is that cart coming directly from you
I have learned so much from you bro thank you for everything that you do and all that you teach people like me better looking to get out of the workforce and grind on my own thing, I had six cheesesteak shops that I moved from Philadelphia to Arizona and I was super busy but now I find that a simple hot dog cart provides me and my family everything I need to survive but I wouldn't have the things I have now if I didn't listen to your advice thank you so much for producing these videos I keep coming back for more.
my wheels are turning .. kids and I went to Chicago and had a real vienna chicago dog for the first time., we have nothing like that in Lincoln ne.,. my town isnt the biggest but we have college football games and other events . makes me feel like this town is missing something when i came back home..
@@BensCarts because after 40+ years of smoking the cat scan on my lungs came back clear and they raised the taxes on them again so they are 12.00 a pack so i quit!
Ben, you always have great advice and I'm going to try to take it to heart. I want to go bigger and better, but I know I should start small and work my way up to bigger and better. I believe I could make a killing around Charleston, WV. About everyone who serves hotdogs around, sells all beef hotdogs boiled in plain water for $2 and they are nothing special. My neighbor told me about a woman with a trailer, that sets up below one of the big bank buildings in downtown Charleston, every Tuesday and Thursday. He said she charges $2.50 for the smallest hotdog you ever saw with chili that has no flavor and slaw with no flavor. He said you can order a dog all the way, and it's the size of a plain normal dog with nothing on it. He said the only thing she has going is convenience of being there, but he's never going to say that he looks forward to her being there the next day, because her dogs are not worth it, taste and price. I believe I could sell a super saturated dog for $3 from what all the wife and I have experimented with.

I understand your point to buy used but there is a better sense of security buying new. Like I wouldn't know how to fix it up if there is stuff wring with a used one. I mean new should work as adverived for a little while.. Lol
I bought a small box trailer that someone wanted to turn into a food trailer. Inside there is a brand new hot dog cart. I have the title for a trailer, what do I look for with the HD cart. I want to put it to work. Previously Ive owned restaurants but never a cart. I like the idea.

Ben, I think I was meant to come across your videos. I now have hope. Divorced, misplaced, and just lost... miserable. I'm pushing retirement in a few years. Have been an unappreciated housewife, newly Divorced. With very limited funds, but I have 35 years in the restaurant and bar industry. I have done a lot of private catering in the past. I have always wanted but never could afford a restaurant and never even thought about this angle! Where have I been? Your video's are priceless! I can't thank you enough! I'm coming... I have a 2 yr. plan of action. (Getting my duck's in a row) From your videos I have a lot of work to do. I have QUESTIONS...I guess like everyone else. The hardest thing about making money at anything is getting off your sofa and going to work. No excuses, just start small and work hard. Then, work harder. You can do this!
Ben how do I contact you. I have a used cart I'm thinking of buying but if I can finance through you that's the way I wanna go. I want to get into this business. Im sick of bosses working 40+ hour work weeks. Im a cook at dennys been Cooking for about 4 years total in a restraunt and I want out. This is the only way to go for me. Plz help
Does anyone have any suggestions for a tankless water heater for my hot dog trailer? My old is on its last legs and I need to replace this one before it dies completely. 3-5 gallons per minute propane fueled units.
Love your videos I'm trying to start a stand but my city is giving me a hard time. I'm planning on selling hotdogs and hamburgers what would you suggest for me and if I buy one from you does everything come complete? Some have told me their carts are delivered it parts and I have to assemble them.
