Bro why get a contract it’s to expensive overtime when u can just buy it outright for cheaper saving hundreds of dollars if u chose contract it means u can’t afford the device the wise choice would have to be patient and save till u can buy it
@@scheledv There are some people who could never even technically afford a phone ever. 500-1500$ is not cheap for all of us especially outright. Financing is the only option for a lot of people!
@@scheledv how is it more expensive on contract? How could you get any cheaper than FREE? Besides even if you were paying for it monthly on contract they are all zero percent APR and in the end ,the price is the exact same as buying it outright. If you going to stick with the same provider for 3 years anyway why wouldn’t you collect the newest iPhone along the way?
Same here I'm getting the 13 on a 3 year contract on Saturday and I can't wait I would've liked the 14 but In my country it's lowest contract price is about $200 more than the 13 and the 13 is phenomenally better than my current phone the galaxy A72 which I've been using for 2 years and 6 months so the 13 will be a worthy upgrade and also my first ever iphone
As a first time Apple user, I bought the SE3 last year. Wanted to upgrade to the 13 mini, then Apple dropped it from their line up. Worse, Amazon and John Lewis were selling the mini and 13 at the same price. Bought the full size 13 from Apple in Product Red. Same chip as the one in the 14 but nicer colors than the 15. The blue Titanium is a beauty!
I’ve got the iPhone 13 mini 😍 512GB I really love the form factor for it’s one-handed usability and it’s pocketability. The screen isn’t that small at all
Definitely earning a subscriber. These are the kind of reviews that actually helps people like me when considering changing/upgrading phones. Please continue to do reviews like these!
Great video. Also worth mentioning how long security/software updates are provided for each model. ie. 15 models will receive iOS updates for roughly 2 years longer than 13 models. Given the price of devices, this is relevant to those not upgrading regularly/continuously.
Ah very good points! Though I also don't think it's a huge concern for most - My iPhone X didn't get iOS 17 this year, but it's still getting 16 security patches. That's going on 4-5 years which is pretty good!
Three days ago, I upgraded to a brand-new iPhone 14 Pro. I had an iPhone 11 (purchased brand-new in January of this year). There's a massive difference in performance and battery life. Especially with the always-on ProMotion display on the 14 Pro.
Honestly, most people are better off with the 15 this year - the USB-C support, Dynamic Island and upgraded 48mp camera makes it one of the biggest base iPhone upgrades in recent years.
camera is great but i will say dynamic island shouldn't be looked at as an essential feature imo. feels a bit gimmicky especially for apple, even though it's certainly useful at times, just not something that is worth the upgrade if you don't already need it.
Chip: 13 Chip and big: 14 Plus Not chip: 15 Not chip big: 15 Plus Pro is only sense when you use phone camera to work - then 15 Pro or Pro Max basic capacity since you can use external disc to record movies.
Yes there's not much of a difference between the 13 and 14 but there are some: I watched a review where it says the 14 has a much better antenna than the 13 which makes downloads much faster and also 6 gigs of ram instead of 4. Also the coast of repairs are way cheaper than the 13. So I think the 100$ are justified. If I had to choose I would go for the 14.
Not once have I been in a family moment and said " I wish I had the pro to take this photo and remember" I was still able to take a photo that still looked great.
Had the 6S until it died and got the XR, been rocking it since 2019. Just recently it’s been having a few issues but nothing major, a sign that it’s looking ready for an upgrade soon
The lower the MP= better low light, not so sharp and suggest not to crop the pics, whereas the higher the mp= sharp, crips photos but bad in low light. (NOTE MP DOESNT AFFECT THE QUALITY OF THE PICTURE, ITS THE SENSOR WHICH AFFECTS THE QUALITY OF THE PICTURE)
Thanks for the clear and simple comparison, it's not often I am satisfied with my research on a product after watching one comparison video. Thank you.
Why shouldn't we consider 14 over 13. Since the repair cost has drastically decreased for back panels. When You pay extra $100 or INR 7-8k in India. Can you tell. It would be an upgrade from iphone 11? Thanks💯 .Moreover phone will be for my mother and she doesn't change phones before 3 years at least. Can you make similar videos for Samsung S22 series vs S23 series in total. There is black friday sale coming in India.
I’m looking to buy my mom a new iphone, she’s willing to change her android haha. I’m stuck between getting her an Iphone 12 or Iphone 13 for her first iphone. She is an avid selfie taker and always loves how clear my 13 pro max camera is. But she has broken 3 phone in the past year. Not sure what to get her. some advise?
went from the pixel 7 to the iPhone 15 pro, and it's been an incredible experience, though i honestly have no way of knowing if that's because it's an iphone, or if it's because it's a new pro model. i do also really appreciate the smaller size, i never want to have to buy a bigger phone to get better features so i appreciate apple's way of doing things, and for me personally, because i would use 2 or 3x zoom way more than 5x, the max camera would probably result in worse quality pictures, as it wouldn't be able to pull straight from 5x camera for 3x.
Personally, I would get the SE though I already have a 13 mini. Yes, the cameras on the mini is amazing. Night time photos are perfect most of the time. But if you want MagSafe on the SE, there are magnets you can stick on it that’s stronger than what Apple puts in their iPhones. I have an Apple MagSafe battery pack and it can work on the SE, though it will not have the features available on the SE like it does on the other iPhones.
Torn between 15 pro and 15 pro max. I know I can’t really go wrong as it’s a huge upgrade from my current XR . Battery is a huge factor for me and 15 PM has much better battery it seems. But the size of the 15 pro is just too perfect to ignore. Hoping I’ll decide soon and not regret my decision. 😂
Well you can always choose either one and then return it if you don’t like it. If all you’re after is battery and prefer the smaller screen then I’d get the base 15 Pro. You’re still gonna get much better battery than what you get with the XR while still maintaining the same sized display.
Tbh the iPhone SE 2020 has the best camera in my opinion. I have/had the 15 Pro Max, 13 Pro, 12, 12 Pro, 12 Mini and SE 1st Gen. The SE is by far the best especially on a budget. But I'm sure there are way better options out there.
Great video. I’m having a hard time deciding between the 13/14 & 15. There are only 69$ between the 13 and 14. It makes the 14 a better choice for the price. But over 145$ from the 14 and the 15.
Apple ecosystem has its claws in me bro. Going Android would mean making my Apple Watch obsolete not to mention my AirPods wouldn’t have all their features with an Android device. Not to mention all my family members are rocking iPhones.
@@imranadil8497 I used Apple products and then upgraded. Once you use alternatives you wonder why on earth did you put up with the frustrations of using Apple products. With Apple once purchased never purchase again
Many thanks for the informative video...would you please try to answer this question: If I would decide buying Iphone 14 pro, is it a "must" that I buy the 256 GB storage as well at least (because otherwise I could not have the advantage of the ProRes, as many reviewers say) or could a 128 GB be enough (sparing about 120 Euro) via depending on "I cloud" for instance to solve this issue?....If this issue cannot be solved by that, shall it be a reason to prefere buying a standard Iphone 14 instead ? Or does it still worth it to buy Iphone 14 pro, even with the least available storage?
I'm thinking of taking the leap from android to iphone, and the only thing holding me back is the fact that i have to pay extra for a pro model for the 120hz display which I've been accustomed to on my last two androids.
How much better is the 13 battery compared to the 13 Mini? I have 13 Mini and i would like to buy 13 or 15. Reason is better battery and bigger screen.I have huge dilemma. Im' not heavy user.
Trying to decide if I should keep plugging along in my 11 pro max, it's just had a new screen put on but the battery is stuck on 80% for over a year. Honestly if they warranty the battery I'll likely just keep it. Pixel 7 and 8 look like great devices too.
bought my 11 pro max from refurbished market and it came with the charger port broken. i’ve had to hold it a certain way for it to charge ever since i’ve had it. i’ll never trust refurbished market again💔
I’m about to upgrade this year, I have a old 8plus and I’m so tired of the huge form factor. It same size as the 15max and I want a small phone now. I only use it for texting, web and pictures of my kid, so I don’t want to use the money on the pro models. Honestly I wish Apple made a new mini! So tired of big phones, so I’m actually looking at the 13mini and the 15 base model. I can’t decide between those 2.. I really don’t need more than the mini offers, but it would be nice to have the newest and keep that one for 5-6years again 🤷🏻♂️
I have an iPhone 11 and want to upgrade it to either an iPhone 15 or 15 Pro. Is the Pro worth 250€ more (in Germany), or is the base 15 sufficient? I like to take a lot of pictures and I use my phone quite a lot.
Probably the best run down for people like me that are absolutely clueless about what phone to get. I’ve got a iPhone 12, at the mo. I must say, I haven’t been impressed. I think my iPhone 6S was working better, to be honest. Battery life lasted a lot longer, as I have had both phones for about 2 years. So upgrading to the ‘latest and greatest’, isn’t necessarily a need of mine. I would like that island thingy, which is why I am leaning towards an iPhone 14 pro. Any verdicts? I am hesitant on getting the iPhone 15, primarily cause I feel like I don’t need it. And it’s the hassle of changing cords and investing in the new usb-c, as that would also affect the port to my headphones, for example. So thanks for this! I am resting more in my idea to get the iPhone 14 pro. What are you guys saying that has upgraded to the iPhone 14 pro? Is it worth the money?
Thanks for watching & commenting! The only issue is that Apple doesn't officially sell the iPhone 14 Pro anymore - but Amazon still has them listed. If you're considering the Pro, I'd be tempted to go with the 15 or 15 Plus personally - You get the Dynamic Island that you'd like. And whilst it's a pain to change all of the charging cables over - it means that it'll use USB-C, which almost any other tech product released in recent years already uses. Battery life on the 15 Plus is also the best if that matters to you. Honestly you could go either way and buy either one of them and be happy!
Hi Pete, I’ve got the iPhone 11 Pro and I really need an upgrade with the battery life and shattered back. I do like the iPhone 15 but is it worth the buck? I do Like the usbc and the dynamic island. My choices are the iPhone 13 or iPhone 15.
Hey! Ah it's a close one. Personally I'd go 15 if you can stretch to that for the extra features. But if you don't care for USB C / Dynamic Island etc, then the 13 is great. Though given that you're still rocking the 11 Pro, the 15 might be a better choice as it will be supported by Apple for a few years more than the 13.
I have a question Pete, I have an iPhone 11, but I find it very difficult to see anything on the screen when outside.,especially when the suns shining! I can see the image on the screen I want to photograph! Does the iPhone 13 have the same ceramic surface? can you see the image on the screen outside? I have tried putting up the brightness of the screen but it doesn't help...what do you say? Regards robyn
I really appreciate this video, I have been thinking of getting the 15 pro max, but I already have the 14 pro max, made me realize, I dont really need an upgrade right now. But I might consider getting an android phone though hehe. which one do you recommend?
haha! I'd definitely check the S23 Ultra. 10x telephoto is incredible on that phone. And it's so much fun to use compared to the iPhone. Otherwise, I love foldables, Pixel Fold or Z Fold 5 are both great too.
@@PeteMatheson I was actually looking for a smaller phone, and I think the s23 is the perfect one. Are there anything major that I’ll miss if I get the simple s23 over the Ultra? Im also considering the Flip5, but the crease is bugging me a lot, plus- i love taking pictures, but that one looks super cool.
S23 is great. After using a Pro Max, it feels like the iPhone Mini. You only really lose out on the 10x lens, and it's way more comfortable to hold! You can probably get a decent bargain on one too with the S23 FE coming?
@@PeteMatheson I didnt know an FE version is coming too. But I dont think I can wait any longer. Might really get the S23 today, I think this one is more powerful. Thank you Pete!
Hee this video was very helpful but I’m still doubting wether to choose the iPhone 13/14/15, I currently have a really slow iPhone 8 and I would like an update
Since you're on an 8 - I'd suggest the 15 if you can stretch to it. Since that will last the longest & be supported by apple for the longest time too. But, if you can't afford the 15, then the 13/14 are still great phones.
I have no idea which iPhone to upgrade to. I'm currently on the 7 Plus and I like it but its about time I upgraded. I don't know which iPhone to pick up but I don't have quite the budget to get any of the pro models
I'd say the 15 / 15 Plus is a really good step up from the 7 Plus. You get all the latest / usb c / dynamic island etc, and it'll be supported longer than the 13/14 series. But if you can't stretch to a basic 15 then honestly the 14 (or 13) aren't bad phones.
I hate apple now I’m very disappointed i bought an iphone 14 three months ago its now heating lagging and the display is glitching out without even the phone even been fallen or having an impact its still in brandnew shape not even a single minor scratch on the phone and it got dead yesterday and didnt turn on the displays black but the phone is heating and ringing too (heating too much) and thats why im switching to android now it isnt worth to spend such an excessive amount on a phone that cant even last 3 months what type of quality control does apple have?
Can you guys help me with choosing a new phone for me. I know that we are only 2 months away from 2024 and I'm currently using Mi 8 lite which was released in 2018. Should i still get i phone 13 ? (**with my budget, i can only get either i phone 13 or Xiaomi 13** )
Currently using a 4 year old android flagship back in the day and thinking of switching to ios. Do you think that iphone 14 pro is worth getting than the 15 pro? It is about 200 usd cheaper in my country. The only thing that keeps me away from 14 pro is the battery degradation issue. Thoughts?
