Kate Louis naw man I’ve been listening to rap music since the early 2000s and I’d say this is a pretty top notch album all around. It’s not the greatest rap/hip hop album but it’s definitely top 10 of all time.
i dont think you can even relate them they are in 2 completely different styles. travis all about the music and the production whereas future album about the turn up the struggle and that fuck you attitude
No one was ready for rodeo when it came out. Even though I first listened to the whole album months after it came out, I felt like it was a new type of trap. The sound is just unbeaten and unique. If Rodeo came out in 2019, it would be sold quadruple than what was sold in 2015 in the first week IMO (70k). Astroworld is dope, but Rodeo came with a different and darker vibe.
At first I was like it’s DS2. But after watching a bit of this video, I went back to Rodeo. Rodeo might be a classic. Never realized how great it is. DS2 is still a good album tho.
Rodeo is a work of art and a classic but how did it change your life. You Travis stand are delusional man. He is great but there is nothing life-changing in his music. Bruhhh
Dope video once again ! "Rodeo" > "DS2" for me. Even though DS2 has so many hits, we heard alot of em before the release through Mixtapes. But "Rodeo" was a big surprise with some dope beats and ambiance. If you think "Take Care" is better than "Good Kid Maad City" is only because "Take Care" really connected with you in some other levels, you talked about it in the Bryson video that this album was important to you guys. But hey, I can't wait to see the Vol.3 !
Travis is my favorite artist, but i admit that some may not like him as much. However, I find it hard to not put Rodeo as a classic rap album, definitely one of the best trap albums
Is this a joke? No honestly is this a joke? DS2 was bangers still but Rodeo is so much better! Like Rodeo was so good! Apple Pie and 90210 bumps more than anything on DS2!
Maria I’m drunk is simply just a legendary song. You can’t compare any song to it. You won’t vibe, you won’t cry, turn up or freestyle on any other song. Maria was just art.
@@samwatts5256 You ain't a real Travis Scott fan then bruh you just going with what everyone else say. If u listen to days before rodeo start to finish you'll realize its his best album and one of the best albums of all time
What makes someone a real Travis fan? just listening to his old music lmfao. If you think DBR is one of the best albums of all time I reckon you've only ever listened to trap and should listen to more music. Rodeo is miles better than DBR, DBR has some awful song ideas, overrated ass songs and some of it is just boring trap songs. Rodeo is miles better. I love Skyfall, Grey, DYSTI and The Prayer but I don't think it comes close to having the songs Rodeo has. And don't assume im not a real fan I've listened to it all
Maria I’m drunk is simply just a legendary song. You can’t compare any song to it. You won’t vibe, you won’t cry, turn up or freestyle on any other song. Maria was the best song on rodeo.
nah I don’t think so. that sounds very dumb for a man to take a song off digital platforms because of copyright issues. because it’s also taken off Apple Music for whatever reason. I think it was a personal reason why they took it off
Rodeo is way better. The songs actually have a fucking structure and flow, DS2 was just a fucking oversaturated mess of random bangers that didn't mean shit. Why is it so hard for people to understand that Future only makes albums to throw like 20 songs at the fuckin charts and hope some stick...
You're missing the point. "DS2 is just bangers" that's the point. The thing is, DS2 has consistently solid bangers and its one of the most defining trap albums. Clearly Future has never followed up with such a solid project though. But Rodeo is clearly the more artistic album covering more than just bangers.
Jeffery - Young Thug TRAPSOUL - Bryson Tiller If You're Reading This It's Too Late - Drake What A Time To Be Alive - Drake x Future Recovery - Eminem Channel Orange - Frank Ocean 2014 Forest Hills Drive - J. Cole The Blueprint 3 - Jay Z ***ANY KANYE ALBUM*** Birds In the Trap... - Travis Scott Any of these (somewhat) recent projects facing off would be flames.
this has become one of my fav videos on RU-vid. i come back to this from time to time, genuinely great content. hope they get back to doing more versus videos.
I mean its already clear Damn won its just not really a competition. You're talking about Kendrick who's at his golden age vs Jay Z who is well passed that. Both great artists its just Damn does so much more artistically.
Kendrick is at his peak not gonna argue, But this jay z album was crazy. All the issues, ideas, controversies, themes and everything about his life was poured out onto that album. Not to mention the production of 4:44 itself was out of this world. I think it would be a close review, Kendrick is at the top at the moment, with Cole in my opinion, but Jay went off in that album. Thats facts bro...

Take Care is definitely better than Trapsoul. Drake was one of the first big r&b artists to do that. Albeit, Drake took a lot of The Weeknd's bests and put it on this album and thats shady as fuck but Drake literally got Trilogy era Weeknd beats on his shit, Trapsoul is just still trying to flow off Weeknd's old sound. Drake has been done moved on. Don't get me wrong, Trapsoul has some dope songs but as an overall project its just overlong and nothing new.
Such a stupid comparison, It's like comparing a poodle to a Rottweiler. GKMC makes Take Care look like it's bitch though fr. But yeah i totally agree with you on them making these videos. They're amazing 😂
DS2 > Rodeo Explanation: DS2 is a better Trap album than Rodeo. Trap is supposed to be turn up music. It’s mindless nonsense that can get you hyped up whenever and wherever. That’s exactly what DS2 does. Play any song from DS2 and you’re automatically in a whole different mood. Yes, Rodeo does that, but not as well as DS2. The fact that DS2 is over 17 tracks and has absolutely NO skips is crazy. Rodeo is of course a classic. I see everyone say Rodeo has more substance but that’s the dumbest shit I’ve ever heard. There’s probably like 1 or 2 songs off that album with songs with deep meaning. DS2 on the other hand has songs like Kno The Meaning, The Percocet and Stripper Joint, and Blood on the Money. HOWEVER, IF WE’RE TALKING ABOUT RAP, then I’ll give it to Trav.
Perfect means it has no skipable songs, i skip a few songs on DS2.. Rodeo has no songs you can skip, besides Antidote because that song got overplayed overmemed lmao
Okay calm down, you giving it a lot more credit than it deserves, u can love the album and all but don't act like it's crazy groundbreaking, 808's and heartbreaks is what tou described, paved the way for modern sound, also Chief Keef later on and Young Thug, they are a lot more influential in todays sound than Travis, Travis took Kanyes blueprint and went with it
@@vdj18.64true but not true yes thug and keef were big influence and 808s ofc but nigga everybody Tryna sound like trav and use his autotune synthy shit like everybody it's cause of Travis theirs more spacy sounds in modern music today
