Which is the best FREE face tracker for Live2d Vtubers? 

Thanks Grinu! Good luck with making your model! Im glad you find my videos helpful, i wanted to make some introductory videos and make it seem simple. You’ll eventually need the half hour long videos about rigging blinking and mouth shapes and hair movement but yea. Making a model is tedious (especially separating parts and rigging) but its not difficult :D

Thanks Garo! I have a cheap $30 webcam thats 1920x1080 and 30fps, so its nothing amazing but it works fine. I havent noticed any problems. I have it sitting under my monitor and I just calibrate it away in the face tracking program.

file > export for runtime > export as moc3 file > tick the json files you want, you should usually have them ticked already

i know late awnser but you could use a screen recording software like obs and hide the background with a filter or allow transparency

I use a webcam for the free pc program. You can use your phone camera for the phone app, but the phone app is paid.

yep you can do that with the programs i talked about in the video

I go over exporting in my "How to rig your Vtuber model with Live2d" video. But yes you put all the expressions in the same folder the Live2DModels folder in Vtube Studio.

To crop a source on obs, press and hold alt while dragging the side buttons

On the right side, click the bigger green circle, choose color picker, and turn on transparent in capture

There might be a program using only mouse and keyboard? but these uses a webcam

Are you well lit? If you dont have lamps pointing at you, face tracking wont work well. If its making your model small and big when you leaning back or forward. In vtube studio setting, go to the 3rd tab, set the movement config for Z to around 3.

I dont think you can? I dont think Live2d cubism cant import .moc3 files so I think you need the original .cmo3 file. I dont know enough about Live2d tho.

Im not sure but I would check that the folders have the same name, for example Live2DModels > yourname > yourname.4096 > texture_00.png

yes you can make animations in live2d. i have never tried it before but there are tutorials on youtube.

I'm using the free version of vtube studio >< (because I don't have an income lol) There's no difference between the free and paid version right now, only removing the dancing gif at the bottom left corner. The face tracking and settings are exactly the same, vtube studio is honestly amazing. I didn't really emphasize it, but I highly recommend vtube studio.

Im not sure, I use Vtube Studio and Prprlive on my PC with a webcam. But Vtube studio has its on phone app.

I dont use the phone app but I think I found the answer in VTube Studio Official Documentation! Take your model folder and put it in the “Live2DModels”-Folder in VTube Studio. Where this folder is located differs depending on the platform. In the Steam-version, you can use this button to open the folder: For iOS Open VTube Studio app data folder on your iPhone/iPad in iTunes (Windows or macOS) or Finder (on macOS Catalina). You’ll find a Live2DModels-Folder. • Copy Live2DModels -Folder to your desktop • Put your new model folder file into that folder • Copy Live2DModels-Folder back into your iPhone/iPad (overwrite the old folder) Alternatively, you can also directly access the “VTubeStudio” app data folder on your device using your iPhone/iPad file browser and put data in there directly from your gallery, phone storage or iCloud/Dropbox/Email/etc. For Android /Android/data/com.denchi.vtubestudio/files/Live2DModels Now start VTube Studio. When the app is started, it automatically looks for new Live2D models and creates a VTube Studio Model (VTS Model, .vtube.json) in the same folder. This file is human-readable and contains all information about your VTube Studio model setup. You should now be able to see your model in the model selection bar. If not, make sure all files are present and there are no errors in the logs.

I haven't tried VUP and Animaze, but I have both PrprLive and Vtube Studio. Not sure if this helps but, I usually lag in most of my games when I have PrprLive open, but when I use Vtube Studio, I don't have that problem.

i have tested both prprlive and vtube studio. vtube studio seems to be a little harsh on my system resources, but overall no fps drops. prprlive used fewer of my resources but was really laggy, and had a bit of a hard time configuring it. i- i don't wanna test VUP. last time i opened it, my pc had a BSOD and had to have a system restoration. animaze is both harsh on my system resources and laggy. i don't really enjoy using it. the results can be different on other pcs, though. i think i'm being a little too harsh on my 11 year old gpu-

Yes, with Vtube Studio being free, I think its an obvious choice

Everything shown here is on the PC. Vtube studio is available on phones, but its not free. Its iphone tracking is currently the best, better than pc webcam tracking.

Sorry Macs, I have no idea if any can do that. But the programs are free so you can test them yourself if you wanted to.

I heard that Hololive and Nijisanji use their own company produced programs

In settings, like on the 3rd tab eye open left and right and turn off manual blinking

@@KappakoChannel thanks for the fast answer but I dont have this setting. I only can check Auto-Blinking and if I check this I have auto and manual blinking

I read that the android version cant blinking manual, so I just choose the "auto setup android" and now it works. Dont know why I cant disable it myself in the default Webcam settings.

I would check if you choose the correct webcam source and if your face well lit

Hi! When you’re finished in Live2d, just go to File and then Export for Runtime as a moc3 file , at least I’m pretty sure that should work? Then you will have the file of your model
