Yea it seemed very out of character. Disregarding tome lore, I'd agree with you for sure.

Yeah. The tome lore seems like it wasn't a telling of what happened, but feels more more like an in-universe report on the events at crotus prenn, written many many years after the incident by someone who didn't know what actually happened there, and made with the intention of trying to make Sally look bad to try and save face for the asylum.

@@AZHYMOVS the tome felt like a different character. Previous lore and even her mori screamed angel of death, not someone who would have such a disconnected impersonal method of murder as the tome showed. The fact is she needs that personal connection and intimacy, because her whole power is using people's last breath. She needs to be close to feel that

I should add up that most of the tome lores that have been added especially for Survivors combined with Killers in between, most of the lores from the tome stand out to be very weak and completely change their backstory and just somewhat don’t add much sense. Even whilst reading the dialogues before the cutscenes they’re all making less and less sense and some standing out to be fine but around 80% of these tome lores are completely absurd and derail character’s original lore. For instance: Hag aka Lisa was kept captive for a long term in a prison where she starved for too long and assuming she escaped while going for a hunt to survive whilst losing some mentality and human sense of understanding from right to wrong. Hence her add-one like the shackles already give indication she was kept captive and is on the run. Even mori hence giving idea she went cannibalistic due to starvation. And Nurse’s lore aka Sally was a married person, she was a very hard working person but even around the asylum days those working hours made her snap real bad and started choking and murdering all those patients and burning down the asylum, that’s why old version of the map had burnt out ashes coming out of the bits of the building. Also, she snapped due to her husband also being a result of loss, making her sanity weak and no one to keep her company due to hard times. As the asylum literally breaks her inside out. Seeking her sorrows there’s a reason why she gave bad hesitation to burn everything down and never to be seen again until Entity takes her. Now: I am pretty sure I could say that Lisa was a Survivor but the bad people who captured her made her go cray-cray after all those days inside the prison so she’s out of the list but I do believe Sally isn’t bad either but just… heartbroken… literally. There’s more where I could add up to but like, I believe why they had sense of lore change of direction is because of new or different directing team of characters so that’s why tomes’ lores were a bit rotated. Which is a shame cause original original lore behind character releases had better origins and ideas than what we have right now.

I had a headcanon that joey is a survivor after making an agreement with the entity his perks are more friends more power: if 2 people sit on a generator it gets highlighted to other survivors magical locker: after getting to a locker he can use this and end up in another locker it has 90/100/120 cool down running with a friend: when he heals someone they have a bond if one of them gets hit that puts them in dying state they continue as injured but the other one get's the damage (it works if one of them are fully healed)

If Plague was a survivor, I could see her thinking if she does well enough, the Sea Goat will save her, thus giving her the hope to feed The Entity. To encourage that cycle, The Entity gives Adiris small rewards to keep her hope & faith up.

Based on the lore right now, I feel The Entity was more interested in her than The Trickster when it took them.

@@chrisprizzle278 This is because it is implied that the Deathslinger does not see survivors as survivors but instead sees them as those who have wronged him IE Henry Bayshore, The Warden, and his childhood bullies. This theory is given credence by the devs stating that any killer with glowing eyes is seeing what the entity wants them to see, and the Deathslinger clearly has glowing eyes. Therefore, it makes sense that he takes enjoyment in inflicting pain upon the survivors, because he is inflicting pain on those who wronged him. If the Deathslinger truly saw the survivors as they are, I do not believe that he would even want to harm them at all as he has no reason to be vengeful (his defining character trait) towards them.

The point of Amanda putting people into impossible traps, most if not all traps are designed and created by John Kramer, she simply works for him to survive, she is put in not just one, but multiple traps in the saw series, she had the intellect to know that the most likely way to survive was to help John Kramer, Yun Jin would rather ignore murder to keep a job that she can easily replace, yet you don't call that out. On the other hand Amanda was put into a life or death scenario, and her choice to work with kramer likely was the only way she could've avoided death.

I feel like you majorly misinterpreted events of the movies. There is not a single trap, created and set up by John, which would have no way out. Yes, most victims panic, fuck up and misunderstand instructions (which is very much understandable), but in a perfect scenario every single subject can get out from his traps alive and more-or-less intact (at the very least up until original creators had a say in script, which is parts 1-4). There is, though, a trap in the third movie, which was set up by Amanda herself for Detective Allison Kerry - and there Allison died after she completed the test. Why? Because Amanda put a key there, that wouldn't fit the lock. On purpose, which is confirmed by her conceited reaction to Kerry's death. She didn't want to test Allison, she wanted to kill her, so she wouldn't interfere with Amanda's and John's doings. And before you jump to conclusions, the very same movie implies that John didn't ask her to do that and even condemns the fact that she did it. Same goes for Troy - Amanda intentionally put him into a trap with no way out, which isn't John's style. Amanda is not an "innocent toy" of John, she's an eager volunteer with manic obsession over John, but completely wrong mindset about why those people should be put through tests. Throughout the three movies she was in, Amanda was only put in two tests by John, first one being reverse bear-trap from the first movie. Second "test" was happening during third movie, which was meant to check if Amanda actually is worthy successor to John. Does she test people, hoping to change them for the better, like John did? Or does she use traps only to kill those she thinks aren't worthy of living? By not following John's instructions and killing Lynn (instead of deactivating trap and letting her go), Amanda failed the test, which led to her death by the hand of raging Jeff, Lynn's husband. And not at any point in time, during a second test, Amanda was put into a "life or death scenario". She could've been kinder and be alive, yet she followed her own selfish wishes and brought death upon herself. And I don't know which "multiple traps" you are talking about. The only other "trap" Young was in (needle pit from Saw II) wasn't even intended for her. It was intended for Xavier, who threw Amanda there instead, bc he didn't want to go through it by himself. She wasn't even a test subject in second movie, she only pretended to be in order to guide others in the right place and protect Danny, whose survival was of utmost importance to John (so that he could put Eric through fair test later on). Plus, she didn't "have to" become an accomplice. John didn't "make her" help him by threatening to kill her or anything like that. After surviving reverse beartrap, Amanda genuinely believed that John helped her, so she chose to join him herself, after he made her an offer. John's methods are bad, granted, but there's an idea behind it, which he himself believes to be good. He believes that his subjects can redeem themselves and start valuing their lives more. Amanda doesn't believe in it, nor does she care for it. All Amanda cares for is revenge, punishment and John's affection towards her, which is pretty much confirmed in the third movie.

Trapper, hearing her sing, struggles to speak, "I... sorry. for. every. thing." Kate who was stopping to play, stunned by what she just heard, "W-What?" "Ru-Run!" Trapper said while getting ready for a swing, his arm shaking and fighting against itself. Kate dropped on the floor, confused but still holding her instrument dear and close to her, before Trapper swung and hit her. But she didn't get wounded, the swing was aiming deep, her instrument saving her she took no time to look back and used the opportunity to run, escaping by a open gate at the nick of time, a small glance back showed a silhouette of man with hooks in his shoulders, looking back at her.

True, although she gets where she is through lots of hard work. She gets a bit dodgy for not mentioning Ji-Woon's murders, but she doesn't really do much to directly get ahead, like Lisa messing with ancient magic.

Exactly, if Yun Jin can be a survivor while having this sentiment, then the Hag should get in too. (And also it's magic, who wouldn't want to do magic?) Dwight spikes a guy's drink, Hag never does anything that bad, yet remains on the killers' side somehow

@@AZHYMOVS She purposefully ignores murder to keep her job, and having a job is certainly ahead of not having one, Hag does nothing of the sort (Not to mention the thought of something like magic is alluring, and sometimes can be positive instead of menacing and murderous)

Then wouldn’t the Trapper be in the void? It’s implied that he refused to at first, but then was tortured into doing it (hence the iron hooks in his shoulder). Looking at the Entity’s lore, it doesn’t seem like it would give up that easily if a redeemed Killer stopped hunting the Survivors, it would just try to force them to kill, just like Evan. Plus the Entity has those killers in the first place because it needs them for their strong emotions of bloodlust and anger, and to make the survivors feel fear and pain, because that’s what it feeds off of. If the Entity just threw every Killer that didn’t want to kill out, then it would probably kill itself.

I think that, at first the entity coerces or forces Killers to do their day job. When they keep refusing, they’ll get sent to the void.

Plus the entity can literally just grab more killers from any where and any time period in history from any dimension, I doubt that the entity would run out of killers to add to its realm.

The Tome lore occurs whilst he's a child and his base lore is when he's an adult. One is set in Nigeria, the other in the U.S (as he moves there). He does kill his boss though.
