Hey room for two bikes in your garage you look good on it never lost your touch never missed a gear and like you said man this motor sounds good life is short go get it.
As a Goldwing owner for 40 years and (6) Wings I can only comment on the fairing. The Batwing fairing looks like great wind protection on your hands and good mirror position. Personally I like a fixed fairing with the headlight always facing straight. I'm glad I don't have to decide which bike I would buy, as both bikes look like great machines. 😊😊
I’ve owned both - a couple of times each. The last time I was looking to buy, I took out an Ultra Limited and a Road Glide Limited on the same test ride. The RGL was a noticeably better ride. I also prefer the roomier cockpit on the RGL - the UL just felt cramped and at that time I was currently on an UL. However I do not like the glare coming off the the RG radio and instruments when the sun is behind me. All in all, there’s no ride like a Road Glide.
Good video, and as you say, it's all on the rider. I just bought a 2024 Road Glide after a year on a Heritage. On both, the Road Glide and Street Glide, I think Harley hit a home run. I'll run 200 miles today and have a better feel. Thanks for sharing.
I've owned an Ultra Limited and now a Road Glide Limited. I made the mistake of test riding the RGL and the rest is history. I do agree, they are very close and like you said get the one you like best. For us, riding 2up, the RGL is better. Thanks for a good video!
That's what happened to me in 2010. I test rode an Ultra Limited and then rode the RGL and the rest was history for me too. The sales guy said most people who test ride the RG usually end up buying it.
Even though I'm not trading in my 2021 Goldwing (I love it) if I added a second bike to my garage it would be the 2024 Road Glide. Also, I think the 2024 looks better than the 2023 Road Glide.
@@MotoMengyHave you taken any teat rides on the 2024s? I just got a 2024 RG3, but it has the same style as the 23s. Having riden the RG3 and a SG, I can say the RG3 does cut the air better.
It rides better *according to you.* You said, "there's no question about it..." or something to that effect, and I would argue that there IS a queation about that. More "PLANTED?" It's the same bike! The fairing makes it feel more "planted?" I didn't get that. I won't lie, I've riddent them both and to *me*, they don't feel one iota different, OTHER than...the wind blasts my head on the Road Glide but I don't feel a thing on the Street Glide, the instruments are far away on the Road Glide and require and more downward glance, away from the road, to read them, reaching for switches on the Road Glide is sketchier for the same reason. Oh, and lets be honest, who in Sam Hill came up with that shark nose look anyway?😵💫 I think for fairness and to combat confirmation bias you should have ridden the Road Glide first. JS. You can prefer whatever you want, you ride a Japanese bike after all, but I think you make some universal assertions that are only true for you. Yes, I OWN an Ultra with a bat wing fairing. ;)
Nearly everyone has a strong opinion on which is better, you clearly prefer the SG. To me the RG does indeed feel better on the road, it just feels nicer at the hands to me. Thankfully HD makes them both! 😎

@David-yp4fl Coming to this video now. The 2023 and 2024 Road Glide frames are the same part number on Harley’s website. I know the rear shock travel was increased 1/2 inch more for the 2024’s over the 2023’s.
@@MotoMengy Yeah, it's one of those things you don't really notice but the mic will pick it up. Funny enough, I didn't think you could open/close the vent in the 2020-2023 RG/SG models - they did away with the vent closing on the SG at least.
