Remember thinking I hit a gold mine with the Disney tapes 😂 then you resell long enough and see them everywhere and nobody buys them ...great video...found a Dead Alive horror vhs my best find 50cents to $40
I'm a conspiracy theorist and I watched a video a few months ago that said certain sites vanity way or whatever it's called was selling massively priced items in sex trafficking sales. Basically if someone sold a 10,000 dollar table it's Probobly a child being sold. Not saying that what what the VHS tapes were but it could be.
Ok cool! Request granted. I have been wanting to do some more things other than showing what sold, so that one for sure will go on the list! Thank you for watching!
@@flykhai9672 Not like what those articles tell you, like Disney Black Diamond tapes selling for $10k. But like I showed in this video, there are some that sell for a good amount considering the usually small investment they cost. I have done very well with older anime tapes, horror movies and sometimes some older pop culture movies. But more often than not I tend to stay away from VHS other than glancing over looking for those kinds of titles.
So sorry for the delay! I do play them for a bit and you make a valid point - the tape could be chewed up somewhere at a specific point later on down the road. But.....and this is a customer service point of view I guess....the odds of that being the case are SO low that it won't happen enough (and has actually never happened to me yet to be honest) that the time to do that in no way matches the cost of these items over time. Now....if you gave me a tape worth $200, yeah I might want to make sure. And I'd also be curious what a tape worth $200+ has on it lol
Could it be that someone bids but never pays but it shows up as a completed transaction? Many sellers that show up as selling Disney tapes for thousands of dollars have zero feedback and include very brief descriptions. It might be price manipulation.
Possibly and more than probably. This was about 4 years ago when I had my "black diamond" experience thinking I struck it rich. What tipped me off at first was ALL of the listings when viewed on my desktop showed a banner at the top of the page that said THIS ITEM HAS BEEN RELISTED BY THE SELLER. Which to me meant it sold, but was never paid for. And that would only show up if you viewed the sold item in a web browser. So yeah, it can definitely be price manipulation, especially since the story still persists that these tapes are worth thousands and are just sitting in your attic lol
@@Cakeinacave I felt like an idiot. Several years ago we purchased about 5 Disney VHS tapes from the Salvation Army thinking they were worth a lot. Fortunately we only paid 50 cents per tape. Some rare and vintage factory sealed VHS tapes sell very well on Ebay. I'm having a hard time believing that one sold for ten thousand dollars though. What do you think?: "Back to the Future VHS - Factory Sealed - 1st Release - MCA Universal 1986 RARE"
Great sales. When you were telling the story about the Netgear router and how there was a reseller that didn't realize it was there, it is similar for yard sales, not everyone is looking for the same things. I need to remind myself of this all the time, as I get a bit rushed to get to the next. My best finds typically come later in the day, when who knows how many resellers have already gone through. Stay safe.
I get that too. I mean, I have to believe that when I am zipping past the kitchenware, I am probably passing up on profits even there, but you have to pick and choose your battles. But hey, if I am going through some section I don't generally source from, and I see something that seems interesting, and factory sealed, out comes the phone! You never know! Thanks for watching!
Everything is proven people keep there mode switch clean out everything proven people will never have playing problem's at all with there VCR player itself
