It's hard to understand the info they are giving on their website in terms of fit. Torin is standard and escalante original. But i see they look the same here while some people call them standard fit. I have wide feet so i need the widest option.
I am a little confused by the information on their website as well. I thought the width is very similar to Escalante 3 that was listed as standard fit. It does feel a bit more accommodating due to stretchier knit upper. The website also says the Escalante 4 is 9.5 ounces compared to 9.3 ounces in the Escalante 3. However, the 4 is about a .5 lighter on my scale. 🤷
Both good shoes with different uses, yet some overlap. I wouldn't use the Escalante for long runs, and I wouldn't use the Torin for uptempo workouts. Else, they're interchangeable for daily training.
