Remington's have always done me good. My uncle tripled on geese with those new hypersonic steels... We usually shoot the nitros. 👍

As you well know, Remington and Winchester have been in the business for a long time and judging by what we’re seeing. Is why they are still the leaders in the industry. After watching the videos you guys have done. I’m a firm believer that the new, faster and better shotgun shells are still behind Remington and Winchester. This is why I will stick with them. Thanks for the videos guys.

Kent bismuth and Remington hi speed is what I'm going to shoot this year.been wanting to see how bismuth patterns and now I have!! Very happy with the pattern. I give my thx for you, for shooting the bismuth like I ask so thank you very much!!😁 and also this is the only channel that I'm looking forward to seeing or follow thru. You know what that means.. Haha it's a very good channel, series or video how ever you wanna call it, so keep up the good work I'm looking forward to the next part.

How have you not noticed your gun is consistently shooting high and left leaving gaping holes in your lower right quadrant? Not an uncommon problem, shift your spacer, or, as long as you have right to left birds, you won't be low and behind if you flinch! Keep at it, Man!

If you want to pattern a lot of different makes or kind or size pellets of shells I recommend this. Get some of the friends you know or hunt with to all buy a box or 2 of shells each. Then everyone trade 3 or more shells with each other. That way all of you can try a lot of different shells each in your own gun and not waste money on shells you may not want to shoot. A drawback to this series is it looks like the A5 modified is a non changeable choke. If it was a screw in choke you could test with the same choke available for all different gun makes even though they would be a little different for each model gun it would be what the factory sells as say a modified in all the makes. It doesn't help us much to see what the shells do in a gun and choke we will not be shooting.

I know this video is so old but I heard you say modified choke which isn't meant to be accurate at 40 yds like a full choke. so I think if someone was running a full choke they'd definitely be able to use any or most of these most at that distance

You really need bigger paper. Your shotgun may not be shooting to poa. That’s why it came with shims. A bigger paper(butcher paper or cheap painters paper from Lowe’s) would allow you to catch more of your pattern and then you draw your 30” circle over the densest portion.

Mid Valley Mercenaries please. I really think if you captured the whole pattern you would see maybe you need some gun adjustment. MAYBE. I’m not trying to critique your shooting skill at all so please don’t get offended. You have to capture the whole pattern to see true density. I have a feeling you’ll be surprised. A sheet of painters brown paper at Lowe’s is like $10 and more than enough to make several targets.

In other words, you may have a 60/40 pattern or a 70/30(70% high 30% low) or you could be shooting left or right. You could be catching the paper with only the bottom of your pattern or the top of it and the rest is hitting the dirt.

Cut one of those Remington shells open they use white plastic filler pellets to top off the shell. I used to love those but when I saw that not sure now. Prarie storm was a lead load originally and they kick hard. I have yet to try bismuth.

I've shot the prairie storm lead shot 3 inch 6 shot and blew pheasants apart at 15 yards and absolutely peppered them at 20.

Really appreciate this videos man! Luckily I’m shooting the same exact gun as you! Been looking to shoot a new shell. Been shooting diff stuff over the past few years but deff learning towards those Remington’s! After these videos are you still gonna shoot the Winchester’s or are you gonna switch?

Federal blue box has been really good and field & stream which Fiocchi so leaning that way. But I have all these shells now so I’ll be trying everything lol

Yeah but that bismuth #4 is like a steel #1. That’s what I’ll be shooting this year. Also, you can shoot the bismuth through a turkey choke so there’s a lot of tightening left to do in that pattern.

Bismuth needs a tighter Choke than steel, to pattern. Like Lead, a Full Choke in Bismuth Would tend to pattern similar to steel in a modified.choke. Bismuth is between steel and lead in density, so #4 bismuth would be similar to halfway between #2 and #3 steel..

The bismuth will have more knock down energy at 40 yards so I would go with bismuth even though it didn’t pattern quite as good. What good will it do if penetration is poor. It appears more expensive but if you have a higher kill ratio and shoot less ammo it may not really cost that much more and less wounded ducks means more baby ducks for next year.

I've been shooting Remingtons ever since I started duck hunting due to them being one of the more affordable shells. Glad to know it's good for more than just price! I know it's going to be different with every gun and every shot even, but I'd be interested to see the grand finale video with the top three shells, all in 2 shot if you can, and 3 shots from each all at 40 yards. That way we can get a larger sample size to get more accurate results. I've loved this series so far. Keep the good videos coming. Looking forward to seeing more of Rocky's progress in his duck training as well.

Most of what i call the fad shot like prairie storm steel and black cloud are never going to pattern well at long distance the non spherical shot is just more erratic especially in steel. They can make up for this up to 30-40 yards by having more pellets like black cloud usually at a cost of slower speed which is still ok out to 40 yds. The prairie storm lead is great for pheasant but I like the Kent Fastlead due to slightly more pellets with only about 25fps less speed and Kent generally much less expensive. Actually I have had pretty good luck with all Kent loads I have tried. I usually don't even look at brand just material of pellet shot load and speed of the load then go by price and which shells pattern ok or shoot better in my gun (less hangups etc) or less dirty like excess powder unburned in chamber etc. Then pattern a few.

You know if you hunt right not a sky buster or stretch your shot,, 20-30 yards and stick to it,, and have self control,, all of the different makes will work just fine,, its these long shoot guys who have to worrie about this,, learn how to call,, set decoys,, play the wind,, and don't be a greedy ass hat,, we would all shoot more
