This video is not political Song Featured in video: The Weavers - Which Side Are You On I do not own rights to this song. #doomer #doomerwave #slowedandreverb #slowed
@jervistetch9162 to be fair most people who say they are non political are 1 of 3 groups 1. Saying to hide their political views 2. Too comfortable to care 3. Nihilist
@@endcaps1917 слова: "я не поддерживаю ни какую политическую партию." - тоже являются политической позицией. Это озночает, что человек поддерживает правящую партию. Ну или то, что вы грамотно подметили.
This isn't doomer. This is a call for revolt. Do not give into despair brothers, do not cower from the fight! We have a world to win. Which side are YOU on?
"Florence Reece wrote the song “Which Side Are You On?” during the violent conflict between miners and coal operators in Harlan County, Kentucky in the early 1930s. Reece reportedly drafted the lyrics after her husband, a union organizer, narrowly avoided being captured by armed men hired by the coal company."
I hate the patriarchy. There I was, subconsciously assuming the entire time it had been written by a man. The subject matter lends itself to the assumption, but still.
@@wawawuu1514 Doesn't have anything to do with patriarchy, but don't hate it for your own assumptions, learn from it and grow from it. Most people know the Pete Seeger version, which is how I was until realizing it was written back while it happened. So I had assumed it was written by a man, because whether or not we like it, that's how things were often done. However, we need to take appreciation that the fact that it held up to be held at a higher esteem, and has lasted longer than MOST songs written by men around that time.
@@wawawuu1514yeah don't feel bad lol, the comment above explains it perfectly and sums up my experience learning about this song. The seeger version IS kinda ubiquitous for a reason, it's damn good.
@@wawawuu1514 you thought it was written by a man, because she wrote it from the perspective of a man "...I'm a miners son and I'll stick with the union till every battle is won." Her father was a miner and her husband was one too and both had problems because they were "reds". You gotta set yourself feee from the cia propaganda - they took a hold of feminism and manipulated it, so that it works against the labour movement and not as an integrated part of it. Nowadays y'all put feminism above class struggle and that way the shackles will never be broken.
@@doomerpit712okay, you like the song, but get the fuck out of here with the “it’s not political” shit. THE SONG IS ABOUT A BUNCH OF ARMED THUGS HIRED BY (albeit Industrial Revolution era) OLIGARCHS TO MURDER THE WORKERS BECAUSE THEY HAD THE AUDACITY TO OBJECT TO THE BOSSES GETTING RICH ON THEIR SHED BLOOD
@@doomerpit712 Unless you're rich (or a cop or maybe a landlord), the cause of miners is objectively in your favor and you'd be well advised to share and fight for it. All the workers and the poor of the world have something in common, the same political goal, to achieve an unbelievably better life, for everybody. This goal is socialism, also referred to as the dictatorship of the proletariat. The rich exploit all of us, their favored economical system, the so-called free market, destroys the planet/climate, they send us to die for their wars and a thousand other ways in which they make life miserable for the rest of humanity. It's time to stop that. Workers produce everything, by their hands does society run. It's only logical that they should be the ones who, democratically, decide how society is run, not to mention reap the fruits of their labour (instead of a bunch of parasitic bosses, as is the case under capitalism).

I think as a capitalist I’m supposed to call this stupid, but I genuinely believe unions are good for everybody. With monopolies taking over any given industry and destroying the competition surrounding it, unions are the only reliable way to get the value that’s created squarely in the hands of the individual who truly made it. May unions prevail!
reminder: the unions can become just as corrupt as the monopolies and may even get infiltrated or bribed by them, always keep your union in check so they can keep the companies in check.
@@20tigerpaw20 you’re right, and only recently have I actually learned about that. My preconceptions were all bubbles and cupcakes, but it’s certainly more complex than that.
It's time to rebuild a genuinely socialist, revolutionary working class movement which learns from the mistakes of the past (meaning: To discard both reformism and Stalinism, the curiously-similar knives in the back of respectively the German revolution and the Soviet Union). I strongly recommend to everyone considering themselves a Marxist and those interested in Marxism to study the works of Lenin and Trotsky, two genuine revolutionaries whose ideas and praxis were opposed to the bureaucrat, sociopathic monster and traitor to the revolution, Stalin.
Us lower class, middle class, leftists and everyone else who supports the cause need to truly organize and get the masses to truly understand the struggle

the defeat of industrial market and command economies such as capitalism and communism is imperative for the long term prosperity of the American people.
100% You are correct. The only way America will ever achieve a golden era is through returning power to the socio-political class of American citizenry. We must do away with the exploitative elites that commoditize people for exploitative labor, as well as avoiding the pitfalls of socialism such as concept of exportation and the dozens of flavors it brings. True solidarity, true abolishment of class struggle, will be found in America only through complete class-collaboration - the middle class are the authoritative branch! We do not need both wings of an imperialistic eagle to be fan out our passions. Down with the traitors, Up with our people.
The UN and all of it's affiliate organizations have become the SAME exact people that the union miners had to fight with bullets, shot and American steel, but this time it's a thousand times worse- at best.... we're alone in this, not to mention the leftwingers of America are in on the globalist scheme too, we really are on our own now... God have mercy...
