Nice review that really helps one evaluate and pick a model for your game. The Stealth HD category is now filled with competitors and warrants its own group review - TM Stealth HD, Cleveland Halo, Wilson Launch Pad, Cobra T-Rail, Tour Edge Hot Launch E523 Iron-Wood, and there is also the direct-to-consumer brand Sub 70 whose 799 model cost US$540 5-PW. I think there are a lot of golfers that would benefit from these.

Thanks for the feedback Chester. We're working on a High Launch/Moderate Speed iron group test as we speak, keep your eyes peeled in March for a video.

I like very much the idea of the stealth with a bit more loft. Must be a winner 🎉

my stealth 7-iron has my avg at 150mph ball spin, 210 carry distance, loving it.

Why would you ever want a 7 iron that carries 210 yards?

Great review always superb now I have a couple of questions what forgiveness rating do you have for T300? Also the new stealth HD how do they compare with. The hybrid irons from Cleveland, Wilson, and Cobra? Many thanks!

Thanks Steve really appreciate your feedback. We're just running our 2023 test sessions now, we'll have a comparison video on each iron category soon. We'd have the T300 at a 3.5 rating. Hope that helps.

Are the gofers getting weaker an have to have stronger lofts to get any distance
@todaysgolfer
@todaysgolfer Год назад
The average age of golfers isn't getting any lower Larry and distance obviously sells on a launch monitor.

Hi...sorry its 8 months late...I am a beginner golfer, 64 year old, pretty fit male, and strong for my size ( Only 5' 6") as I have been climbing most of my life. My question is, would it be worth getting fit to clubs so early in my golf experience. I intend to play a fair bit in the coming year, and I am competitive by nature, so intend to make sure I improve by playing and lessons. I have family members who are mid handicappers 12 and 14 at present and have told me to join them. I have got some old Mizuno MX17....bit tatty hand me downs. Just wondering if its worth buying new and getting a fitting so early on? Thanks...great videos by the way ;0)

Thanks for the feedback Chasey, really appreciate you taking the time. Yes, it would be worth getting fitted. Just make sure you tell the fitter how much time you plan to devote to the game over the next year or so, they will take this into account.

It seems to me that the Taylormade irons are much more curved on the bottom from toe to heel than my Pings. How might this impact my ball striking if I switch?
@todaysgolfer
@todaysgolfer 11 месяцев назад
We'd agree, TaylorMade irons do sometimes have more sole curvature than some of the competition. Usually the thinking is curved soles are easier to play from sloping lies (or less punishing if a golfers delivery is inconsistent), as the toe and heel are less likely to dig. Hope that helps.

@@todaysgolfer Thanks! I should probably play TaylorMade. No such thing as an even lie at our club!

Stealth HD is an ugly iron, ugliest since TM launched the MCGB, if you look at the equivalent irons from Cleveland, Wilson and Cobra they have much prettier irons in this category. The rest of the range is much better, I even like the look of the regular Stealth irons even though they are a bit too big for my eye. After saying that, the performance of the Stealth HD irons is exceptional good - lots of distance, lots of height and lots of spin meaning plenty of control around the green. If you can stomach the looks, it is a fantastic iron. No intention of changing my i210s but if TM do a demo day at my club I will try the P7MCs, didn't like them when first introduced - I expected a soft forged feel but they felt harder than my i210s (but it was a cold day), but I really like the look

I use the stealth hd irons now as im 50 years old I think gone are the days of using thin irons and they are like having a bag full of chippers in the bag 🙂🏌👍
