Eh, it's difficult to separate how countries view the US and how those countries view our leaders. For example, The Philippines has a very positive view of the US, so if you ever polled Filipinos on their opinion on any sitting US President, the approval rate would always be extremely high regardless of who it is. The same works both ways, like many Americans have a positive view of Germany and so if you asked Americans what they thought of Merkel vs Scholz vs etc, they would probably be pretty uniformly positive because they're thinking about how they like Germany not about whatever specific policies those politicians represent.
That’s fine when it comes to individual people but when it comes to the actual governments they most certainly want a President that would be in their best interest
@@ranelgallardo7031 not sure what your source is for that, but according to Pew reserach the Phillipines gives Biden a 77% approval rate, which is actually higher than Trump 4 years ago (68%).
I'd dramatically disagree, European politics are entertaining, the catch is that you don't get to know much about them if you are not paying attention (examples: a completely drunk czech ex-president, Germany destroying a historical town to get cheap and shitty coal after years of saying they are going green; the Italian PM getting real, though being quite fascist, with France; the last King of Spain being a complete shit-show; oh, and there is so, SO much more)
I work in the US tax field. The reason they ask all those questions is so they need to know if they need to withhold any income. The US is really weird when it comes to taxes. Most countries have a territorial tax system, meaning income is only taxed if it's in own borders. The US had a semi-worldwide tax system, which in very simplified terms means they can tax people outside the country if it's somewhat linked to the US. The reason the US does this was to prevent losing tax dollars from companies and people offshoring their income to avoid US tax. This was especially true before the Tax Cuts in Jobs act knocked the corporate tax rate from 35% (well above world average) to 21% (Just under world average)
6:02 There's been a change in government in Poland since 2019, now the liberals are in power, who naturally prefer a Democrat president, also the support for Ukraine is a big thing here and all parties but the far-right one are on their side
Ngl, I didn't know how I was going to receive this channel (sub to the ibx main channel) because I do follow a lot of news commentary channels . After watching a few videos, though, seeing your insight is very eye-opening to how the rest of the world views the US, and to me as a US citizen, is very interesting and quite educational. Good stuff .
Iran is pulling to the left extreme, Russia to the right extreme, China is focusing on sub-national influence operations (lower level governance and bribe alignment).
Iran to the left extreme? I knew the red stripe in the flag was for communism! XD Seriously, I never heard of a left theocracy. How is it leftist to try to prepare for a religion based war or tell woman to have a certain religion based clothing style?

Just a little disclamer. The map you used for confidence in Trump is from 2019, while confidence in Trump massively fell after 2022. I remember reading a poll from a month ago where it stated that close to 80% of Poles want Biden to win.
And Hillary had a "100% chance to win" as reported once in the news before that election. Mostly we'll have to wait and see. Some polls will be accurate, others won't.
How do you deal with it when you come out with what seems like a reasonable view, considering all facets of a discussion, and someone gets pissed off because you aren't more forceful in your views? The only reason those views have any validity in the first place is because they are nuanced!
US Internal Revenue Service is known to be the most relentless tax collector in the world. I can easily believe you must document your address to them every year. Be glad you don't live here. Of course, your taxes would go down, vis a vis the UK.
US companies ask for that information because Americans are required to pay US Income tax regardless of weather or not they are in the US. We're one of if not the only country that does this.
@@stanneh1978 According to Wikipedia since 1862 but the 2017 tax cuts under President Trump (that are set to expire soon if he isn't re-elected) made some changes.
When you say things like most of the western UN countries are not really in favour of Trump... Do you mean the current regimes in those countries or peoples opinions?
My choice would be Prince Harry for President. This would help bring the UK and the USA closer together. His slogan could be 'Make the British Empire Great Again'.

There's a whole subset of Venezuelans who are praying Donald Trump will win because they hope he will depose Maduro and return democracy to the nation (even though he didn't last time, but for some reason they think this time it will be different)
Say what you will about any side of politics.Trump 3 days ago said hed flee to Venezuela if he loses. If I recall in the summer of 2020 he praised Maduro and more recently said "[Maduro] have it fixed so good, [citizens are] not going to have to vote" in an interview.
Not to complain.... but ummmm from a colorblind persons perspective, can you please use different coloring for us? I can't see what your doing. I can not see it.
Colombia as well. In the last Latin American summit, Gustavo petro even said that they will never get the people back that died due to American meddling.
Do you have a moment to talk about our lord and Savior the Bill of Rights? And if you just sign here, we can have a CIA backed coup install a leader into your country who probably, maybe, not really want to give you all the Rights we enjoy as Americans.
if you want my opinion ironicly i think all iranians should be able to vote in american elections like see the economic charts before and after the trump it was 1/3 of how much it was before hands to clearify iam iranian
Interesting thing to do would be to only look at USA's 'enemies'. Iran, China, DPRK, Russia, Afganistan maybe Venezuela. As you touch on, there isn't really harmony even in that camp. Russia likes Trump as he is seen as weakening the US. China doesn't like him because while he may weaken the country he is too volatile. Iran doesn't like him because he is for tensions escalation. DPRK is a bit of a wild card given Trump bromance but concerned by what he might do.
@@georgehenan853 Perhaps you don't but that is absolutely how Putin and many others see it. Trump has continually expressed doubt in America's allies. From a global perspective, America having looser alliances means America is weaker. Trump's leadership also has, shall we say a certain 'style'. Rightly or wrongly (probably wrongly) many leaders view that unstatesmanlike behavior as weakening the USA's standing. Finally, Trump's manner of attacking opponents and institutions is seen as creating instability, which weakens the country. You could argue those institutions need to be attacked and taken down, but the fact remains that many across the world want Trump in the White House because , rightly or wrongly, they think it diminishes America. Again, there's no consensus. Many others like the sign of America's weakness but still don't want Trump in power as he is seen as unpredictable. Hence China probably wants the Democratic Party to win. Iran obviously does after Trump's term in the White House saw escalation in the US-Iran conflict.
Lol tensions increasing is nonsense trump has made nations impossible to work together he made them to. For example north and south Korea. Under Biden the world has gotten way worse. Trump no new wars began.

10:05 The US is definitely not more left than the world on most issues, some sure, but in the grand scheme of things barely any. Books I recommend in the subject: The wealth of nations The communist manifesto And killing hope
It's still that Trump wants to stop sending support to Ukraine and wants to back down from NATO and foreign conflict. All of this is a positive for Russia compared to the alternative who actively want a strong NATO and Ukraine. Additionally if I recall trump had a few many conversations with Putin, and considering his appeal to Christians and typically right leaning cultural policies, Russia also supports that aspect.
Lack of confidence in Trump does not mean they have confidence in the other candidate. 'Do the right thing regarding world affiars' is not something I would expect from any modern US president.
i think realistically no other country should attempt to interfere, it is for the voters and citizens of the us alone to decide and despite their major influence on the whole world they should focus on what is best for themselves. They are already the most giving country in the world, essentially the only country contributing to NATO and to charity efforts globally. maybe if these countries contributed their fair amount the rest of the world wouldn't need to rely on the us for almost everything whether its loans or simply getting things for free. I also realise this goes both ways, of course America's position as the sole global superpower comes as a result of their influence but it is their prerogative to change focus to building themselves to be fully self-sufficient or to stop focusing on stupid proxy-wars and just wars started for stupid reasons.
Realistically? The world is interconnected now no matter how fools want to go back to their own detriment. America ought have learnt what isolationism means a hundred years ago. Influence must be maintained for all points of interest, both economic and political. The EU is for diplomacy and America picked it's role likewise after the wars, The US brought out the European military look at the UK technologies and such promises broken, you want to be the top dog democracy? One has to act responsibly having pursued the role. You don't get to back out now, there is no turning back other than to harm all positive interests connected. You think the proxy wars are stupid because you understand naught of geopolitics, just because you don't get a "win" doesn't mean you don't deny the enemy one. Containment has been the policy since the Cold War and it is American indecisiveness that has let dictators escape and seek to expand their insidious influence, growing the problem down the line incurring greater long-term costs to us all. Everyone must wake up and get the damn country together, the world is literally at stake, that's within and of action out.
Interesting you didn’t give data on the favorable foreign opinions of Kamala Harris. I don’t honestly know that she’s done much internationally as VP. We can assume she’ll resume status quo of Biden but I’ve yet to hear a policy
What is wrong with you? I do not hate Iranians, even though I do not like the countries policies. Even in a western style democracy (which would not be a description that fits Iran) many people are not in favor of their government. Sometimes, even the political minority gains the power (like in the presidential election in the USA 2020).
I tried searching your video as "what president does the world want" bc i couldnt remember the title, and regardless of the slight difference, this video doesnt show up, just mainstream bullcrap.
Why won't they? I care about American politics because that country is too influential. Many may complain that foreigners meddle too much in America's elections, but do not care when your politicians meddle too much on world affairs, even foreign elections.
@Rob_-dv6ei I'm pretty sure under Trumр the US and Europe were nοt in a wаr with Russiа. However, I do remember the US and Europe being in a proxy wаr with Russiа under the Bidеn administration. Weird huh.
Why? Especially with all the recent shit he said and did? He literally told Christians at a Turning Point USA conference to go vote only for this year, and said he'd fix the elections to where they wont have to vote again. And thats just the beginning.
My reply got deleted, I'll try again. If people would like to respond with their location and their preferred candidate and not try to start an argument, then the data collection will be better. P.S. "Not Trump" is not a candidate.
If you think that the promise to strengthen and modernize the already bloated U.S. military is going to lead to them being less warlike, then I don't what to say.
That is delusional. Nearly all our foreign relationships worsened under Trumps Presidency. Including our relationship with Iran which had improved under Obama with the Iran nuclear agreement. And then he illegally assassinated an Iranian general.
I mean....didn't he just want to add tariffs if a country economically treated us unfairly? He was pretty peaceful in terms of actual relations. And we need to fix America's debt before sending money to others. His slogan isn't "make ukrain great again". We got our own problems.
@@ash_11117 well he was "caught" praising Putin and had to apologize to fox news for committing treason while he was president before ... doesn't sound great foreign policy-wise. that doesn't sound neutral. he's also very pro-Israel despite "isolationist" .. sounds like trash foreign policy .. yes that's just my opinion.
@@theAstarrr The main issue is with foreign policy is that Trump is an isolationist, yes that does include the protectionist tariffs which in my opinion much of the West needs to increase, however Trump wants American withdrawal from NATO and seems content with allowing Russia to hold onto their current gains in Ukraine. People don't seem to understand this but that will only embolden further destabilization of the world, and it sets up a larger West-Russian confrontation when inevitably Russia attacks Ukraine again. Also, people don't understand this, but there has been pretty much zero "sending money" to Ukraine. Ukraine doesn't receive cash, it receives weapons, mostly ones that are 2 decades out of date and where just sitting in NATO stockpiles. Ironically enough, Ukraine is helping the US more economically because it is providing a reason for greater armaments manufacturing, therefore providing more jobs in that sector. In terms of the American foreign debt, its such a poor excuse that people use when they don't understand economics. The entire world runs on credit, its very likely your family runs on credit, just as most major economies do. All nations deficit spend, and ultimately as long as productivity is higher than the debt, then debt is actually a non-issue. The US physically can't repay the entire debt anyhow, and again as long as banking has existed most nations run on loans and borrowing. It would be impossible for the US to run without using credit.
@@ash_11117 The US doesn't send money to Ukraine at all. The US and NATO Allies send weapons, equipment and launch training programmes for Ukrainian soldiers, the weapons and equipment all come out of stockpiled weaponry that hasn't been used in the past 20 years. People think we're sending money because the news usually says "$50bn Package for Ukraine" when in reality that is the value of the equipment we are sending, we are not just sending money to them. Also, in cases where we are producing new equipment to cover Ukraine's needs (shells mostly) they are helping the Western economies by facilitating re-militarization, building up defence industries and therefore creating a demand for new manufacturing jobs. The current arrangement with Ukraine is a Win-Win for both Ukraine and the West. We'd be spending a hell of a lot more money if we were at war with Russia ourselves, which by the way would be where we would be at by 2024 had Biden, Boris Johnson, Macron etc not rallied the West around Ukraine, because Putin's plan was to fully overrun Ukraine, then Moldova, and then attack Eastern Europe within the beginning months of 2022. World War Three was very literally stopped in its tracks in February 2022 and trust me, if Russia overran Ukraine then China would have seen it as confirmation that the West would be unable to respond to an invasion of Taiwan.
I wasn't born in the USA and i neither have been them but if i become, somehow, president of the usa i would like to stop military spending and disarm nukes
Disarming nukes be stupid as hell as the russia and china could freely use them. And cutting all military spending would collapse global trade until again China takes over, or countries have to protect their own trading. The usa patrols most of the world's trade network when it comes to water ways. Also cutting back all spending immediately leaves millions of Americans jobless, and had China start invasion of Taiwan, and numerous wars in middle east and Africa. Congrats you started the age of global war once more.
i understand the need to not get political or take sides on this channel so that you don’t alienate any part of the audience but being a centrist on everything and acting like both sides are of equal legitimacy is delusional. there are no sides, there are people who have hatred in their heart and there are people who don’t and treat those who do as equally legitimate only allows them to spread their hate
Is it that the a huge section of the public have hatred in their heart, or is it that they have concerns - legitimate or not - that you just don't understand. I am certain that you would describe the people Daryl Davis met as people with hatred in their heart, and being objectively and irredeemably evil. With just a few conversations he showed them that their concerns were misplaced, and change their. The people that you denigrate as having hatred in their heart are human. They aren't unthinking beasts, they're ultimately rational actors. and even if you don't like it there is a chain of events and a set of values behind what they believe The people who I think have hatred in their heart are in prison for literally thousands of years
@@ibx2cat the number of registered voters in the US being almost 170 million in 2020, it's only a subsection of a subsection that votes for either major party. The total US population was 336 million in the same year. 74 million people voted for Trump, and 81 million voted for Biden. That makes out to be around 22% and 24% respectively. Now while I'd personally say that the Republican platform is based on hate, reducing individual rights, austerity, regression, and all that other fun stuff, there's plenty of Republican voters who are interpersonally decent people. Probably most, but they nevertheless believe in and vote for the more damaging platform. That isn't necessarily to say Democrat voters are better people, just more useful in stopping what in my opinion is a worse platform. Then of course if given the choice between spending time with a R or D, I'd generally choose a Democrat voter, I'm certainly biased.
To be fair relations would still be fine under trump, you would just be expected to manage your damn borders. Currently you let anyone cross, most of the people entering usa are entering Mexico than coming across southern border.
