A particularly enchanting example of the hushed, mysterious beauty which characterises the now classic 'Pink Moon' album of 1972. Made possible by the extraordinary achievement of one Chris Healey at nickdraketabs.co.uk/
'Which do you dance for? Which makes you shine? Which will you choose now If you won't choose mine?' So beautiful and true and beautifully played. Thank you
Absolutely right, Matt. My favourite lines, which I think is probably obvious. The love is unrequited, but such on his part that the speaker is honestly glad to contemplate the freedom she will use not to choose him. Thank you.
what beauty... This makes me wanna grab my guitar, go outside and follow your lead! A few months from now this will be exactly what I'll do. Thank you for sharing, it means a lot.
So wonderful! Great job Alex! I first fell in love with Nick in the early ‘90s - and he’s been with me ever since. However, I found myself listening to him so much this past few weeks, while suffering with illness … a great comfort! You’ve done such a good job with this, it’s annoying that your subscriber count is so low! Keep up the great work!!
I really like this cover it's quite pleasant. You've made some slight tweaks, but the lend such intimate sentiments, You've done a wonderful rendition. I hope you were pleased with it and still are. Have a nice rest of your days. :)
@@AlasdairDow At this point I'm a regular listener, but I've just come back to this video after listening to someone else's cover and decided to share your name there and while I was at it I wanted to share his name with you too. That being said you ought to take a look at someone named "Strumdoc" here on RU-vid he makes tons of covers including many of Drakes stuff as well as making originals too which many in my opinion are genuine and fantastic, please give him a listen. I'm a big fan of both of you. :D
@@MarkyD.Ingram Hi Mark thanks for your kind comment and for sharing my name. The musician you mention is excellent. Hope to start uploading more regularly again soon. All the best, Alasdair
Sub earned! I've heard a lot about Nick Drake recently but somehow he always slipped under my radar. Love this and excited to hear more of his music as well. Awesome job!
I saw you at the open mic yesterday and I was quietly moved to tears at the back of the room because your voice reminded me of my late brother, I’d love to see you play again. do you also have an instagram account? thank you, grace 🌸
Hello Grace, please accept my apologies for not replying earlier. I have been out of the country. I''m very touched by your message. There's nothing more strange than losing a loved one and I hope you continue to find solace in the things your brother enjoyed. I don't have any regular gigs in London at the moment but I will post any future date to my FB page (facebook.com/a.f.j.dow.music). As I will the links to my first solo EP which should be finished before not too long. I'll probably cross the frontier into Instagram at that point aswell... Thanks for writing Grace and I hope to see you down the line. All the best, Alasdair
