It came on in the background ..... random pick by RU-vid. I presumed it was an old Harrison recording. I clicked the tab to view and was SHOCKED that it was this band doing a great cover. You're right, the vocals are spot on !

If George had been alive today he must be impressed with the way they played his song especially the way the guitarist add an awesome tune I for one really loved it.

I think the fact that they're not even trying to "look like the Beatles" and just focusing with the music makes it better. I've seen a few cover bands out there who try to mimic their looks in their various eras and it doesn't really do anything for me. Just my 2 cents.

My favourite part of this is the opening bit where the drummer gets right inside Ringo's beat. Every song was a unique opportunity to Ringo. And "shredding with heart", who knew? Great singing - great cover.

The cover you mentioned is terrific and I always recommend it to people affictioned to the Beatles, but.... considering everything about this song, including the voice of the lead singer, the whole set of musicians (not only the guitar) this cover is simply fantastic !! A matter of opinion, for sure...

I love this version! No one has commented why this is so excellent compared to any other RU-vid covers, it is that the MIX is amazing. You can hear all the parts very cleanly and clearly, just as you can on the Beatles White Album. All the other covers, including the Concert for George, and even George and Clapton playing in Japan, the mix is not good and clear like on this RU-vid video. As a testament to the importance of the audio mix, there is another Blackbird band recording of While My Guitar Gently Weeps, same group, same people, same great playing/singing, but the audio and mix are sub-par, and almost no one watches that one. This is one of my favorite RU-vid videos! I have watched this more than any other!!!!
Just found this band OMG they slayed it. The track itself is a wonderful track and I cannot believe what I have just listened to. How talented they are , I wonder if Clapton and Dhani have heard them? I am now a fan , a massive well done guys you have blasted it out of the water. Love to hear you play Isn’t it a Pity. I have 50+ years experience in several blues/rock bands, I'll be 70 next month, and I've played this probably over 500 times! These guys nailed the vocals and vibe of the song!! Bravo!! In recent years, and after listening to more available "Harrison", I think his intent with it was a slower, more blusey/sad vibe, and that's how I play it these days. More 'my guitar weeps' and less 'my guitar screams'. LOL In any case, very excellent job here!! JMHO --gary

VERY, VERY IMPRESSIVE!!! Normally, I stay away from cover versions and cover bands. I believe there are some artists, bands and songs one should just stay away from: Case in point: Foo Fighters cover of Down in the Park was deplorable. After seeing this, I am officially a fan of Black Bird Band!!!
This is a good band. That was a great version of a great song. The lead guitarist showed that he could play it verbatim and after that he did his own thing. The whole band was good. The singer was spot on! I am impressed!
