This dodge charger was filmed at the ‪@stthomasracewaypark‬ . St. Thomas Dragway has a rich history in Canadian motorsports, known as one of the oldest drag racing tracks in Ontario. Opened in the 1960s, the track has seen numerous upgrades over the years, making it a prime venue for high-performance drag racing. It's hosted events ranging from local grassroots racing
Rolling Thunderz specializes in a range of Mopar builds, primarily focusing on performance enhancements for Dodge Chargers, Challengers, and other vehicles from the Mopar family. Here’s a general overview of the types of Mopar builds they typically offer:
1. Supercharger and Turbocharger Installations
Whipple Superchargers: Known for their work on Whipple setups, they offer installation and tuning for significant horsepower gains, often on HEMI engines like the 5.7L, 6.4L, and Hellcat 6.2L.
Forced Induction: Custom turbocharger builds or twin-turbo setups for maximum boost and power.
2. HEMI Engine Builds
Naturally Aspirated: Engine upgrades for more power without forced induction, such as camshaft swaps, intake manifold upgrades, and ported heads.
Stroker Builds: Turning engines into strokers for more displacement, torque, and power.
Built Engines: Strengthened internals (forged pistons, rods) to handle extreme power levels, whether naturally aspirated or supercharged.
3. Custom Exhaust Systems
Long Tube Headers: For better flow and more horsepower, often paired with custom exhaust systems.
Cat-Back and Full Exhaust Systems: Tuned for sound and performance, including setups with X-pipes, H-pipes, and straight pipes.
4. Tuning and Dyno Services
Custom tuning for Mopar vehicles to optimize performance after modifications.
Dyno testing for precise power measurements and further optimization of the build.
5. Suspension and Drivetrain Upgrades
Coilover suspension systems and sway bars for improved handling.
Upgraded differentials, axles, and driveshafts to handle increased power levels, especially in drag racing builds.
6. Braking and Wheels
Upgrading to performance brake kits (Brembo, Wilwood) for better stopping power.
Custom wheels and tires for both street and track applications.
7. Track-Specific Builds
Drag racing setups with weight reduction, high-performance tires, and slicks.
Roll cages and safety equipment for track compliance.
Rolling Thunderz is known for their high horsepower Mopar builds and the ability to turn factory muscle cars into street or track monsters. If you’re looking for a specific type of Mopar build, they likely offer it!
For a Dodge Charger Daytona R/T 5.7L HEMI with a Whipple supercharger, here’s a breakdown of potential performance figures and key modifications:
Performance Estimates
With a stock 5.7L HEMI, the Charger R/T produces around 370 hp and 395 lb-ft of torque. Adding a Whipple supercharger can push those numbers significantly higher:
Horsepower: Typically, with a Whipple supercharger (depending on boost and supporting mods), you could see power outputs in the range of 550-650 hp.
Torque: Torque numbers would also increase dramatically, likely hitting the 500-550 lb-ft range.
These numbers can vary depending on the build specifics, tune, and whether additional supporting mods (like fuel system upgrades, transmission work, etc.) are installed.
Key Modifications
Whipple Supercharger Kit:
Likely a 2.9L Whipple supercharger for the 5.7L HEMI.
Capable of running 6-10 psi of boost, depending on the tune and supporting mods.
Provides a linear power increase across the rev range and a distinct supercharger whine.
Fuel System Upgrades:
Higher-flow injectors to support the additional fuel demand.
A larger fuel pump may be needed to ensure sufficient fueling, especially at higher boost levels.
Exhaust System:
Custom exhaust headers, possibly long tube, to improve flow.
High-flow catalytic converters or a catless setup for less restriction.
Likely paired with a free-flowing exhaust for maximum power gains and an aggressive sound.
Cooling Upgrades:
Upgraded intercooler system for the Whipple to manage intake air temperatures.
Larger radiator or additional oil coolers to keep temperatures in check during aggressive driving or track use.
Transmission and Drivetrain:
The stock transmission (likely an 8-speed automatic) would need tuning to handle the increased power.
Upgraded driveshafts and differentials might be necessary depending on how hard the car is driven.
Tuning:

Yup. Just like I thought. It’s why I asked about this car. Excuses are nooses and he didn’t sniff 9s like he said he would and never will….even in good DA and elevation….and that 2700 DA was not that bad to begin with…..try PA tracks.
