Why did the entire casing need to be removed? When you were reassembling the cabinet it looked like removing just the blower cover would give enough room to swap the part out. (isn't that why the access door was provided?)

Don't remove the shell if you're just dealing with the blower.

So after my microwave made a very loud grinding noise. it still comes on, but all i hear is that buzzing sound.... I know the Magnetron is still working because I test that by putting in a simple chocolate treat to see if it was heating. and yes it is heating. but its very quite now. like normally you turn on a microwave, you get the buzz, then it like ramps up, or a fan or something comes on, that is not happening. And Ideas?

Would anyone know how to clean the sticky grease off the fan blower wheels that (look like hamster cage wheels) ?? Help needed urgently for kenmore lg over the range microwave that went wild over cooked rice burned it black and the dish -it was smoking - I am trying to clean it + tried to clean the inside but the blower fans seem really gross - it's in really great condition - like new - it's sits on blocks won't fit over the stove - hope it's possible to clean those wheels I've disconnected them - but wanted to know how to clean them - hope to save this microwave - techs say toss it - I say clean it & re-use it

I could only clean the outer housing of the squirrel cage but I'd just get a brush and some dawn worked for me pretty well just be sure to use some gloves
