that attitude is the reason why they are successful ...They are good at keeping the emotions inside..meaning there wont be vulnerabilities when u look from the outside..
I love how subtly they teased her affection towards him: the fact that the first thing she recalls off the top of her head about him is the women close to him, how his kind words in the letter immediately reminds her of the charity event, and just the overall playful, jabbing banter that you only see between close friends. But they never make it obvious nor force it to develop into anything, they instead reinforce their weird, "hostile-in-a-friendly-way" honesty and connection that they have. Excellent directing, love it when the bonds feel genuine and organic.
... and her gift to him was to release him from their complex relationship, which was in the form of an old married couple, providing the basis for his future happiness and success with her full support.
Unrequited love is not the greatest tragedy. The greatest tragedy is never to love at all. One who never loves is a robot. (2) The deadliest poison is self-pity. There is a risk that unrequited love will send you into that & make you give up on love completely. Big mistake!
@@PeterPhantomForcesbut they're pitiable. And a lot of people, especially older, more tempered and wise, would understand and sympathize. It's about love and loss and yes it may turn some into bitter people. You're among the lucky ones if you don't.
what...is this...? this has deeper character development than most multi-million dollar movies; top notch acting and directing, amazing camera work, and superb editing is this some sort of testing platform for them? im so confused
They create a script for a short film, they get paid thousands for it if it's good enough(this was definitely good enough). One day it might be in a feature. But that's how the industry works.
Pensil Tumpul I do think that she's 'somehow' nice for firing him. This is because of how he spent most of his time with her and his work that he doesn't have time for himself or probably his girlfriend. The only solution for him to be able to be free from her is for him to be fired from the job. That's also the reason why she said that 'some birds are not meant to be caged' and that he can be free from then on.
Jst because she paid attention to his dating life doesnt mean she liked him romantically. She liked him as a great PA or a friend, and she envied his life bc he had real relationships
She wanted both a career and love...The problem is, can not have both. You will love one and the other gets seconds. Just the way it is. She treated her closest friend Teddy with seconds. She offered him a chance at Love...As she had the chance.
When ballons start faling and it transfers into different scene with nice music thats right up my alley ! Love that moment. So well filmed and edited, high movie quality in these videos. Great work !
the structure of thier conversation is whats appealing. its like reading pride and prejudice. you get lost in the words. the words make art and the images make art. its just great
Why though? Why do you need Netflix always? It's still free for us , it's appreciated by audience even more that it's on yt. I feel Netflix has a lot of garbage Riverdale is just the tip of iceberg . Something so good gets lost on Netflix. Not so if it's RU-vid
I think people who get attracted to others' intelligence get nicknamed as a "zombie" (or at least I got). Why a "zombie"? cuz we love them brains. -sorry I'll go now-
I told my wife I was attracted to her for her intelligence 25 years ago and it continues to this day. Sometimes the way she views some subjects, forces me to be on my toes. She never challenges me from the perspective of being right, she just offers a different point of view and phrasing. It is great!!!
I love the man who wrote the script, excellent use of English vocabularies, especially horse with seizure, giraffe solving complex sudoku etc. He made "Shilo" unique.
She said "You're so far in the closet you could be in Narnia" or something like that and then when she had one guy close to her his name was Edmund! It was a great video. I just had to point this out
These two were perfect together… they were a sort of ying and yang. He, in some respects, admires and disdains her assertiveness, while she loathes and admires his sensitive heart; together they make a complete package. Loved it!
Just so you know, I read this comment off of Ciel Phantomhive and he didn't get enough attention and hopefully this comment does: Teddy was happy because in his job he spent 11 hours working for Shilo as her assistant, and the boss would do whatever she pleased and was a workaholic. He knew everything about his boss but she didn't bother to know anything about him or give him space to develop his relationship with Kate, so he was unhappy. In the description it says: "For a brief vulnerable moment, she opens up an old wound from her past -- about the man she could never win the affections of. She shows she wasn't always a cynical pragmatist -- that she once felt some heartache, as well. They quickly exchange gifts, in a small show of sacrifice, and mull over the co-dependency they've come to rely on each other for. Then, they both agree to make a change." Which means that by being fired he can now have a different job where he wont feel caged down, and will give him enough time to be with himself and Kate.
Chill Dash Not Kate, that was his old girlfriend. Not Audrey either, Teddy and her broke up because of her suspecting that Teddy and his boss were having an affair. By firing Teddy, he has more freedom and etc.
And eventually fired him because she realised that the ice between the two had been thawed and that in such circumstances an imminent liason could be dangerous on office premises.
That's like the 5th reason she would fire him, he is clearly a great assistant and could keep things professional. The reason she fired him is because she knows he is being over worked by her, caged by her and dominated by her. She knows he won't leave on his own because she is the King. The man is struggling to get a serious relationship and now that he found one, so she set him free. They love each other, but it is more complicated than that. It's a love closer to a Master and a Pet. She realized he is not a pet, but a human.
interesting in reality one must love oneself to truely under stand and be able to pass that unconditional love dreams are made of on the whole knight in shiney armor thing.embracing the light ineach of us allows one to recognize and nurture that love in another
I do think she wanted him, but not in a romantic sense. Being the stoic she is, she wouldn't ever say it out loud, but she was aware of the ease and comfort she found in him. She wanted him as a true friend, the idea completely different from romance but far closer, emotionally. She looked up to the life he had made, knowing she could never have that. She knew she'd have to lay on the middle of the bed. Quite frankly, i do think that he reciprocated the same, the Gelato cake might have melted away, but he still had the heartfelt wishes on on him. ❤️❤️ My heart goes out to everyone associated with the project. Loved it.!!
Well, it's the laugh his girlfriend had when he made her laugh so much and so hard that she lost her breath and couldn't stop laughing, and it's one of the biggest things he cherished about her. So I don't know why you feel ashamed for him having that laugh, since it's not even his.
Freddy Chale As a for non-native english speaker many of this are not easy to understand! Where should I find those meanings??! I want to understand smart conversations 🙋
In all of my professional life I have never had the pleasure of meeting a CEO, senior-Management or even company Directors that could hold together their professional life and still spends their time going out getting trashed.
Is it just me or does their British accent enhance the level of class this short film has? I was contemplating to use the word "posh", and I'm nowhere near the Spice Girls! 😅
Bored Engineer Operating Near Groom Lake Detachment 3 just curious though, do British people dislike it when others mistake Australian accent as British? 😶 never having met either one before so i'll just take this opportunity to ask you 😆
Natalia A I am not British but I know most people rarely confuse the two accents so they will probably not be pissed off I am a New Zealander and foreigners often confuse our accent with Australia's but we are used to it by now
This was actually really great acting. I mean she is a complete natural, one of the best actings I've seen in a long time. This was 5 years ago, and I can't believe I've seen more of her in any other movies. Hope she goes far.
I usually wait until everything is set, and I'm ready to fully engage with your stories. Thank you for being the best damn storytellers - Love you folks
"Gonna have to rub me in talcom powder just to find the wet spot" hahaha. That was one of the best conversations I've ever heard. They should do a series. Featuring Sir Mortimer of cause too.
I'm blown away by this movie. The writing is hands down excellent. Such a beautiful, introspective and even playful movie with a perfect resolve at the end!
This just came into my suggested videos, and I am glad it did. This is purely exquisite in every sense; script, dialogue, lighting, cinematography, and those two actors play off each other like magic. Bravo!
i don't know if this is connected or not but i loved it when she said 'Susan' and 'Edmund' (i think thays how you spell it) and at first she said Narnia
These two, combined, sound an awful lot like the ongoing internal dialogue that follows me around in my head. Cognitive dissonance is my constant companion, so I'm forever "bullying, then cowering before, then standing up to myself." So yeah...I really related to this. The bit, towards the end, about the miracle of her simply existing...the "millions of sperm cells" and all that, was a bit overly mushy for my taste, but over all...well done, Omeleto. You have yourselves a new subscriber.
I keep watching this for its brutal honesty, and emotion on all levels. This is one of the 1st Omeleto films I have ever watched years ago, and damn, this is great content. I do not go for fluff, and this fits the bill for keeping me interested, and caring for the characters, thank you. Enough, about the cat, this is just pure fiction, and I have had cats as pets most of my life, and they are NOT pets, but souls on 4 feet, they literally pick who they wish to be associated with. God, I love Cats, as the Egyptians loved, admired, and worshiped these lovely souls.
My opinion, she treats him like a child. Yeah that means she's a horrible parent but she loves him ......sad actually because he accepts this as love and this is her only way of showing it. Sad
I never know what to expect when I watch these shorts, but usually at the end I’m happily surprised and impressed at the quality of story; picture, acting and the condensed amount of time such quality film making was achieved.
