I like this version by Tina. This live version sounds better than the recorded version. I can image Susan B singing it. Am sure that it will make me cry watching her... like I still cry listening to her BGT audition. Am looking forward to Susan putting out an album.
I have seen this performance by Tina Arena, God knows how many times and have the musical CD with different artists performing, no matter the amount of times I could hear this song, Tina Arena will always surprise me, how can this voice from this little body can come out? Tina’s voice is is breathtaking!
the fact that she was singing for ..and in front of Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber tells you the high calibre of this performance ..she nailed the song ..and what a strong ,classical musical voice ., not many get the chance to do this as good as this at the Royal Albert Hall ,London
If you sing yourself than of course you know that music is about interpretation and style. Yes, this song is about friendship, but there is more to friendship than just happiness. Have you ever loved someone so much without their acknowledgment? To me she is saying IM HERE! IM HERE! She is showing her passion and will to FIGHT for their safety; that is love.

Spent many stoned evenings watching this performance on repeat with my theatre friends lol! Forgot about it until a friend recently brought it up. Just as fierce as I remember!

I watched this about 20 years ago for the first time and have been a fan ever since. It was the opening act (no pressure - lol) for Andrew Lloyd Webber's 50th birthday celebration. Not sure where from (Royal Albert Hall maybe?). She completely nailed it. Probably watched it 50 times since - at least! Her voice is so lovely. Also, her cover of Kate Bush's 'The man with the child in his eyes' is heavenly. Hue & Cry covered that one brilliantly too.
I too am here because of Susan she is fantastic and so is this young lady. Such talent. Its great to see such talent in this tough time we are all going through.

Tina Arena is an icon. I read one comment here and says that Susan is making this singer famous? Well, Susan doesn't need to. Tina has her own fanbase and her supporters are always there. Susan is just starting a career, so there is no comparison to Tina on that. Not belittling Susan and I really hope she gets to be recognized and be successful. I love Tina and Susan has touched my heart. Seriously.

weiki001, This song is originally sung by Tina Arena herself. Tina didn't have to stretch the song to hit the upper notes because her voice is naturally powerful and high. This is a difficult song to sing and she did just great.
I love this so much. I have watched Andrew llyod Webber's birthday which this video is from since I can remember every year on my birthday the full birthday of his and now its my 20th today and no matter what I'll never get bored of this. it was one of my favorite from his birthday well this and phantom of the opera done with Sarah brightman and Antonio banderass
really great, i love her voice and her fresh strenght:-) but i think this is a softer song, and it is about friendship,that you are safe, cared.... she sang it so passionately, and sometimes- for me - angry, and too strong and she is not smiling, only one would do. i sing too, and well...:-)) one of the beautiful voices i've ever heard,love it anyway!

I see nothing wrong with this beautiful woman's arms, hair, face, torso, waist, legs, etc. She is welcome to come to America and sing in my house any day of the year she wants!
