honestly the way the medics and staff run to them like penguins trying not to slip has gonna be the most hilarious thing iv seen. they are like "quick, quick gotta be quick, but gotta make sure i dont break my own neck"
Away from the joke, this is actually what is important and what we are taught to do, ur own safety is the 1st priority, then the others, that's why on planes u are always directed in case of emergency to put ur oxygen mask first then any children beside you, u can't be saving others if u don't save urself 1st
I live in Vietnam, and some dudes has just formed a team in the Southern side of the country (where basically has 2 seasons: "super hot" and "super hot but it rains sometime"). On an interview they literally said "because it's fun".
Athlete: crashes sled into has his face dragged along the ice at 30 miles an hour for about 20 seconds Commentator: “He must be really upset with his performance”
"WHY did he get out of the sled" "There's a DQ". He's talking like he was on a WR run and just decided to step out of the sled. He just had a high speed crash ffs I don't know what the commentators problem is.
@@andreamontanari7577 Nothing was forcing him out, did you perhaps miss the part where they crashed? Fair enough they were still violently fast after it that you might have missed it, oh wait violently fast? Maybe that's why he fell out
as a Latvian that didnt know anything about this video before watching it or had seen any bobsleigh related content before this is a very good first impression about Latvian bobsleighing
This is one of the most dangerous tracks. In 2010 (1 day before the 2010 winter Olympics) Georgian luge-athlete Nodar Kumaritashvili had a died at the track after a crash
@@skullkidsaysfuvmennit5709 He obviously didn't get out on purpose. That's why people are meming it. Even the other commentator recognises it wasn't deliberate. He fell out *during* the crash, not after it.
@@skullkidsaysfuvmennit5709 I keep seeing these comments and its like you lot never heard of physics lmaooo. Lemme just pause the laws of the universe just so I can stay in this tumbling bobsled just so I don't get DQ'd loooool
I'm currently watching DotA TI10, and accidentally goes to recommendation page, clicked this video, and here I am. Stuck in whole loop bobsleigh moments and this is way more entertaining lol.
Do they not have any control over the sled though? I'm pretty sure if you crash a car when racing because you went to fast or didn't go into a curve correctly, it's the drivers fault not cars or tracks
I like how both first sleds crashed in about the same place, and suddenly the commentator feels the need to say ''They are doing such a great job with the track here in Wistler, awesome track!'' as the Korean guy is getting out of the crashed sled
@@marjansarec2337 Im pretty sure as commentators, they definitely do NOT want to take a stance saying the organizers were wrong on the track. Definitely not on live TV.
Staff: Hey bro maybe you should think that there is something wrong with that curve before someone else gets seriously hurt ... don't you think? Track director: which curve??? 😂😂😂
You forgot to mix in your right channel audio. Thought I would just mention that. You probably just forgot to make your audio channel mono instead of stereo.
This is a scary sport where you need to have good balance and strength to steer the sled to the bottom. This is a sport where you can end up with upper body injuries back, shoulders, arms, neck, head or legs and lower parts because of the speed it goes down and how fast it goes.
