Hi! I own the RadioShack pro-106(same as your radio) and I’m having trouble understanding how to program my local pd. I live in Hallettsville Tx. Which is in Lavaca county. Do you think you could explain how you’d program their station? It doesn’t have the multiple frequencies for trunking, but it lists that it’s P25. Thanks for any help
that is the same firmware on my PRO 197 scanner. you prob already know this though. i must admit, i like my BCD396XT the best, EXCEPT for the manner by which you need program text tags. uniden system is horrible. which is your absolute favorite scanner? curious.
Can you show me how to do this for the BCD436HP? I’m trying to pick up the police in my home town, but for some reason I can’t get them to come in. Is it because I need to enter a talk group within the favorites?
Hello, if you are looking at a talkgroup on radio reference, when you enter talk group ID, is that referring to the DEC and HEX column at the left of the listed talk group? Please help, thank you.
yes, when your programming a trunked system go to group ID and press select, you should then see the word hex over key F3, just press it until it says normal.
You need to do a start to finish control channels and talk groups and how they are linked together. I can program either, however I'd like to know ho to connect the two together. Please respond.
So my question with this scanner is I see no repeater sites listed like in the BCD536, yes you have the tlkgrp but you need to assign repeaters as well I have not seen you do that in the programming, 2nd this scanner seems to scan at hyper scan speed compared the the BC BCD536 why is this
You can find the talk groups at RadioReference.com. You cannot receive P25E talk groups because they are encrypted. No scanner can receive encrypted talk groups.
@@k4dps I just got this scanner. Am I already in trouble with the phase II project? Will I still be able to hear most talk? In in Pensacola, so it appears we are in the same geography.
@@jeffsurgeon3189 You will only receive phase 1 with that scanner. You will need a scanner that receives phase 2 to hear the most in the Pensacola area. But remember, Escambia Sheriff and Pensacola PD are encrypted so you won’t ever be able to monitor them. Only Fire and EMS calls.
Mr.K4DPS or Subscribers. I just got new Whistler WS1040. I can program to best I can. The problem I am having is the T does not show up on my scanner. I am unable to receive Digital channels.. Please help me resolve this. The G is lit up but not the T which I think it is why I am not receiving digital channels still.
