For a second straight day, White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre was peppered with questions about President Biden's health as fallout from last week's debate with former President Donald Trump continues. Jean-Pierre said she made a mistake Tuesday by not mentioning the jet lag the president told donors he was suffering from during the debate, despite having returned to Washington, D.C., from his overseas trip with a stop in Los Angeles on June 16. The debate was held June 27 in Atlanta. CBS News campaign reporter Aaron Navarro provided analysis following the briefing.

I watched the press briefing & Q & A, so I was curious about that video title. What a weird conclusion with no actual rationale. He had a physical in February. It's not as if it was all that long ago. See a doctor for a cold? His voice was back the next day. And the polling after a week of media talking nonstop about the debate performance & RAISING the question - it's hard to tell if the voters are reacting to the debate or the media hammering for a week. What bs.

I think a good response would be more like, "i hear you, but so far this is not a pattern. This was one night for many reasons. Now, we've answered the questions, but at this point we just have to move forward. If we see a pattern of difficulty, then these additional questions would be more valid, but so far this was just one bad debate with him in a stressed condition and the debate under severe time restrictions. You will have many opportunities to observe him as he continues to work and compaign. Until then we need to be serious and move on." Theyre going to poke holes no matter what. At least point out that they dont have enough evidence to be this concerned about one really bad debate.
