I made it today. Thanks for the good recipe! Mine worked with coconut oil and I also added almond and vanilla essence and some ground lemon peel. Looking forward to eating it!
This cake has a fine taste. I filled it with American white icing, some silver, winter-looking sprinkles, and Nestle Mini-Morsels. It was delicious. Be sure to beat the first mixture 8-9 minutes so the baked cake will hold together as you roll it. This size of cake teaches you very well how to make a roll cake. (it is 8X8 or 9X9- inch in American or British measurements) That is very great. It is fun to make this.

It's definitely a little firmer than one with yolks, my sister prefers this version than one with yolks. But it still rises beautifully and is pure white. This recipe cake in use as i had a lot off leftover whites from making custard with egg yolks lol
