They played this song as the encore at their show. Everyone just about came out of their skin. "THIS WORLD. IS. OURS." in unison across the whole venue. What a great show.
I remember back in 2008, the heaviest thing I was into was Bring Me The Horizon. I had heard a lot about Whitechapel and decided to give them a shot, but this was much more brutal than I could have ever imagined. I hated it at first, but for some reason I couldn't keep away. I eventually got into it, and started getting into other similar bands, like All Shall Perish, Job for a Cowboy Despised Icon, etc. That was a nice trip down memory lane
This came out when I was in highschool. I was into Trivium, Slipknot etc. This was the most evil/craziest music ever. Still to this day. This hits so so so hard!!!!
@@russellny8086 🤷♂️ lol. My music ends around 2010ish. I don't listen to much newer stuff. I still jam to Lamb of God, Gojira etc. But old school? Through the eyes of the Dead, Red Chord, Black dahlia Murders, Job for a Cowboy etc. Those are still in my top playlist. Even old Breaking Benjamin, Godsmack, cKy, Disturbed etc. Older just does it for me.
My God All hail the fallen King. What a destructive part. I know I’m 7 years too late but if you havnt listened to it, check out Chimaira Born in Blood near the end. The level of brutality he’s brings is soul assassinating
I thought it was just all Deathmetal but Whitechapel opened the gates and introduced me to the Deathcore world. First song ive ever heard from them and still the best Deathcore band ever.
@@vogelvau6582 no band is weak it just the listeners is changing preferences. theyre great before than later. Its just more bands become influenced by them and improves it.
Even if you're not a metal fan, you have to be impressed with his vocals. The part at 3:00 honestly sounds like it's from some demon in a movie that they've had to put dozens of layers and filters on. He should just do movie voice overs when he's done making music.
@@pinkfloydmeddle6692 I already know it! actually what I was asking you is: what do you think of technical death metal. On the other hand, from the way you speak, it makes me think that you are a death metal fan and a bit of a death core hater... isn't it?
@@badbrainbeatz3451 I’m not the biggest death core fan no. Don’t mind it too much just not big on it. I want to know what you think technical death metal is? It might be something different than what I think
This is the first time I have heard this band. While the "vocals" are not my thing the music is very good. I apologize to the Whitechapel fans for saying anything less than positive but it's just my particular taste in music. The band is very good if you're someone who enjoys this sort of vocals.
Danilo Gentile Wow, Devoid's music is brutal in the best sense of the word. That is the type of music that makes the hair stand up down the backside of my neck. But it is still a little too dark for my taste. I wasn't able to make out the lyrics but judging by the video it appears darker than my taste. Music that is right up my alley is Five Finger Death Punch's song The Way of the Fist. I think you might enjoy it if you take a few minutes to watch the video. Other songs which stand out are War is the Answer, Burn it Down, Burn Motherfucker Burn, Salvation, only to name a few. However I still feel the best heavy metal song ever written is Disposable Heroes by Metallica. Finally, I would be remiss if I did not mention the band that two of my dearest friends play in (Alexi Laiho and Henkka Blacksmith), Children of Bodom.
Saw them on Tuesday, amazing live. They don't do this song anymore though. I'm mad because the drop at 1:27 is better live than it is on recording. You think his voice sounds good here? Hear it live, so much more powerful.
Dude I just saw them in concert last night with Trivium, they do in fact still do this song, they played it last night and I'm so annoyed because I missed the first 2 seconds in the recording I took so I have this song by them recorded but it's missing the intro line of dialogue 😭
@@IanTheGreatYTmy first time hearing this song was at Silver Spring with Trivium Lol. Im lucky to have recorded this whole song at the concert lol. But i got to Hear it again recently When They did their headline tour For the Valley This Year.
That breakdown tho, seeing this band live playing this song. Literally that breakdown goes through all your veins and make your blood flow even faster hahaha
When i was younger and didn't understand this kind of music, it literally sounded like a guy who mastered singing while burping intensely. I stand corrected.
"singer"??? Uh, I don't think I heard any singing in this song. But I'm sure there are a lot of people who don't like the metal bands I listen to (Mudvayne, 5FDP, Hatebreed, old Metallica - Disposable Heroes possibly one of the best metal songs ever, Children of Bodom, etc.) so all is cool.
