I do not mess around with lightning on the beach. Not when I am holding a long metal pole in one hand (my metal detector) and another long metal pole in the other hand (my long-handled sand scoop). At the first trace of ANY lightning when I'm on the beach metal detecting, I make a bee-line for shelter and get off the beach immediately. Better to come back for more metal detecting another day when it's safe!
A very interesting video, I have a Whites Treasure Pro coming on Tuesday 7th May 2019, at the moment I`m using a Whites DFX that I have had for a very long time. I thought it was time to get a bit more modern and up to date, lol Dave M from Bridlington East Yorkshire, England, on the east coast.
Dave Mulliner, Thanks for checking out my channel. I know you’ll enjoy your TreasurePro. It’s a great machine and super easy to use and understand. I almost got a used DFX but my kids talked me into getting the TreasurePro instead. They are so bossy. Lol. If you have any questions about you new detector feel free to ask. Maybe I’ll be able to help. Thanks again! GL&HH! Jay
Hi Dave, I am originally from near Hornsea, I live abroad since a long time ago. I tried my Whites Treasure pro at Bridlington 2 years ago while visiting my old home, I was detecting on dry and wet sand but the signals I was getting where all over the shop like somebody had been firing shot into the whole beach. I tried all sorts of different settings but to no avail🙁 have you maybe some advice, as I am coming back next week for a 2nd try. Thanks in advance to anyone here who can give me advice for the best beach settings for the Treasure pro🙂
Yes I have had kids tell me where to look, or a junk beep is dollar or I think I see it. Last week at a new park a group of daycare kids swarmed me and I got away an went up on a soccer field. Kids are excited to see us detecting.
hi, i looking to get into the metal detecting hobbie, and this one seems to be in my price range with good reviews, im just wondering if your still using this peice of kit, or have you moved onto something better, i really cant decide what to buy, but this seems to cover everything im looking for,, as in beach and soil detecting with good depth range thanks
Veeddubgamer, thanks for checking out my channel. Yes I still use the TreasurePro. I have about five videos waiting to be spliced. Lol. The TreasurePro does work very well in soil, gravel, and sand (both dry and wet sand). I use it in salt water and in the rain. The control box can get wet. Just DON’T submerge it. You’ll enjoy using it. The TreasurePro is fun and super easy to use. GL&HH! Jay
Thanks bro! I wish I could have stayed longer and find some gold though. I’ll have to go back. This is the first beach where I didn’t see another detectorist swinging. GL&HH!
I wish that I could help you out. I’ve never used an F44. The only Fisher that I’ve used was an F2 and it worked well enough. I upgraded to the TreasurePro because of the Ground Balance, customer service, and Whites Electronics reputation. The only thing I would add on the TreasurePro, is making it waterproof so it can be submerged. It IS weather proof and can be used in the rain without worry. Other than that, the TreasurePro does everything that I want it to do. I wish I could help you out more. GL&HH!
Yes. The TreasurePro coil and shaft can be submerged. Just don’t submerge the control box. I’ve used mine in the rain a few times and didn’t have any issues. The TreasurePro was made weatherproof. Just not waterproof.
It’s the Atlantic Ocean. I have a video showing how to use the Ground Balance/Tracking. It’s called: “Metal Detecting How to use Ground Balance. TreasurePro Tracking”. Mine was beeping in this video because I kept putting my coil on the wet sand but that doesn’t last long. It stops as soon as I pick the coil up to swing. GL&HH
Gaptain's Metal Detecting Vlog I just couldnt get it to handle the wet sand so I got a Nox 600 for that. Keeping the treasure pro for other places as its handy just popping in a couple of batteries and away u go.
I seen you wear a lot of longsleeve shirts in your videos. Are they the sunscreen shirts? If so, are they comfortable or are you really hot while you’re wearing them. Thanks for the info. Keep up the great videos
Hi Donna! Thanks for watching! Some of the long sleeve shirts that I wear are sunscreen type shirts. To be honest, I can’t tell the difference between the ones that are and the ones that aren’t. They are very comfortable, lightweight, and breath well. I don’t get hot wearing them. I feel hot when my skin is in direct sunlight. Even when I was deployed to the middle east, when everyone removed their blouse, I’d keep mine on with the sleeves rolled down. Lol. Some shirts breath better than others. You can tell almost immediately when you try them on. You’ll feel hot if they don’t breath well. Again, thanks for watching. Feel free to ask if you have more questions. GL&HH! Jay
