Crazy to think we are gearing up for another Whitetail Habitat Season. A time of the year I look forward to as do many of my clients and followers across the country.
I'm often asked the question, Where do I start?. If your a client I've visited that answer will be layer out for you in A step by step Habitat Plan I include in your Whitetail Analysis Package, but if your a DIY learner that's a very great question. It's a question a lot of folk struggle with.
Hard to answer with a One Hat fits all answer, because it doesn't work that way at all. For the most part, I always recommend starting with Doe Bedding areas 1st, but what's in those areas currently and what does the finished product need to look like when completed. Hardwood area, heavy canopy? Pasture, needed Switch grass and Pockets?.... The list is long at what your area may look like.
