Thanks a lot! Part of my goal with this video was to fill a gap where no one was showing the entire process and the final product in one video. Interestingly enough, just today I bought Whitetail Institute Clover so I’m hoping to do the same type of video with that.
Great vid! Haven’t used that blend from whitetail institute but we did use their clover blend and have been very pleased. Came up nice and thick and seems very healthy.
That’s kinda what I figured. It was my Grandma that mowed it.🧐 My friend in Virginia is planting the same mix this year, so I can’t wait to see how that does.
First of all great video. I encourage you to keep making videos for the hunters and food plotters !!! Id like to give you some tips on planting any food plots. If you can do it I suggest a soil test or follow the recommended lime and fertilizer rates that are on the bag of seed. Also for the water issue on the property you can get a cattle water trough that you can bring to the food plot and dig a hole in the ground and place the trough in the ground for extra attraction. Also when spraying set your nozzle of the backpack sprayer to a finer mist to allow you to extend the life of the herbicide mixture that you are using to kill the weeds. Thank you, Tyler. My mom thought it unnecessary to take a soil test.🤪 Our soil is naturally very very good and in the fields is nearly black! I still think it would be a good idea though. As for the water, I have thought about it some and talked it over with my grandpa, who owns the farm, and he doesn’t seem too fond of it mostly because they try to keep the woods clean and drive mowers, tractors, and gators through the woods. Thankfully we have a Really good farm that we hunt about 5 minutes away that we have a food plot right next to a creek. Thanks again for your considerations!
Roundup is really bad for you, you should probably wear some protective gear or something. You could look into other methods of planting without harmful sprays.
