I like Robin, she conducts very decent interviews, she is not shy of her tongue but she's also compassionate & "HUMAN" at the same time, a good combination; She acknowledges the line, not cross it! Blessed woman.
Am I the only one on this planet that thinks this whole entire family is so nieve that we don't know what really went on in that family from the various family members that came out and spoke the truth about drugs, abuse neglect etc. They act like they were all saints but I see right through all of them and I give props to Bobby Brown for putting up with all of them as Iong as he did. Lord knows none of them thought he was good enough for the crackhead. And she allowed her own daughter to do drugs in the house. Now where is she......DEAD. great God loving family
'Saving all my Love' is actually my all time favorite song...brings back so much memories growing up and Dionne is right it's the first time I really knew who Whitney Houston was.
She says Whitney sounded fine the day she died and yet those who saw her at the hotel said she was high and weird. And the pictures spoke for themselves.
I've never understood the hatred people have demonstrated for Whitney's addiction. It is disgusting. Whatever happened to feeling love and compassion for others? I hear this woman and I am humbled by how addiction can destroy everything. She was young, beautiful, and talented beyond compare. I wish she had not succumbed.
Thank you, Ms. Dionne. We love you so much. Your beauty continues to shine through all that you say and do. I sure wish that someone would highlight the fact that Whitney was murdered, so that our younger children who want to be famous performing artists can be aware of the other side of the business, in the event that they decide to go against the grain and cause the team's money to stop coming in the way they want it to. Those funds had to be recouped, someway, so they chose the option that they felt would grant them the greatest return for their losses.
This confirms that Whitney was not suicidal as Dionne spoke with her twice on that day in the morning and the afternoon and she says Whitney was happy and upbeat and had everything to live for. Lots to look forward to the new film in the bag and getting her voice back on track. Why would she suddenly commit suicide after inviting her to the party that evening??
The interviewer is lovely in the way she connected with Dionne Warwick, especially when the things she said weren't scripted. She probably made Dionne feel comfortable with opening up
Saving all my love for you her first number one and her first Grammy win go Whitney she will.never be replaced one for the record books Mrs Houston the voice rest in peace
She was never jealous of Whitney she was very successful in her time doing many movie soundtracks that were big hits. She's had a full career is in the hall of fame and has a family that has matured into adulthood. She is alive & Whitney is dead. You can't read anything & know nothing about grief or emotions
Although very mature, Dionne is always a lovely classly lady...my kindest wishes for you Dionne. You have blessed us with your talents for so long, and stay joyous and hopeful.
I understand what she means when at that point she still hadn't mourned. I was in shock for about a month. I didn't cry until one night I was all alone and I watched a video on RU-vid of her singing Didn't We Almost Have Almost Have It All. And I just sobbed for her.
Cissy is the youngest in her family, the Drinkards, who were gospel singers. Dionne's mother is one of the eldest sisters. That is why Whitney is Dionne's first cousin.
Dionne is cissy's older sister Lee's daughter. That makes Whitney and Dionne first cousins. Cissy was the youngest of 8 and is the only one left now. Such is life 😢
I saw an album cover photo that I was sure was Whitney's but it turned out to be Dionne Warwick. She was a dead ringer for Whitney when she was younger.
amazing. such class. whitney learned from the best...cissy and dionne and aretha. wow. i just do not know how dionne did this interview. i am sure robin roberts made her feel right at home. LOVE this. thanks for sharing.
I thought I was reading my own comment! I myself was so amazed at the number of such hateful, angry comments. I don't understand it at all. Inexplicable...for me anyway. And yes, she sure was one of a kind. Like that old saying I heard a long time ago that went along like: the voice may be stilled, but the music will continue. I can't remember exactly, but close enough I think. Her songs will endure the test of time with not doubt whatsoever.
why so many hateful comments towards woman who clearly lost and misses her dear cousin!? some people are unbelievable! RIP miss Houston you were/are truly one of a kind!
that is called family support. and all yall talking crap...please stop. not helpful. dionne is a legend. so is whitney. and blood is thicker than...$ or silly comments. saving all my love for a family that trusts God.
do you personally know whitney or dionne? probably not,so by u saying "where was dionne during her struggles" ask yourself, how do you know she wasnt there for her? do u realize when u are an addict, your family etc can try to intervene all they want but its up to the person to make the ultimate decision to stop.dionne is a sweet godly woman so by u saying ugly things about her only makes u look foolish and ignorant.
Iris Baldwin I will say this One More Time ... Dionne's mother Lee Drinkard-Warrick, and Cissy Houston [who is really Emily Drinkard-Houston] are SISTERS. This makes Cissy Houston Dionne's AUNT, and Dionne and Whitney are Cousins. Get It??
+Francesca Gatti Whitney's Mother, Cissy Houston, has said that she is angered that people say that Dionne and her are sisters. This is not true, as Cissy is the youngest girl in the family (I think) while Dionne's Mum is one of the eldest.
