A very rare video of Whitney Houston singing Nobody Loves Me Like You Do in 1985. She sung this song with her brother Gary as part of her opening act for Luther Vandross.
this is in the top 10 performance of Whitney's career. Actually on the day she died, it was this i wanted to listen to first, and i cryed eternally after hearing it. It took me almost a year to hear it and not get upset about it. It show her divine talent/innocence/promise
There's a rendition of she & Gary doing this piece during a London show in 1986. PHENOMENAL. It's the BEST rendition of this song. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-nMEF21z3NU8.html Thank me later. ; ) 💜
@@Sim882 Apologies. I thought I put it. 🙏🏾💜. 29.00. exactly. 👍🏾: ). Check out 26:20 as well. Perfection. Honestly you want to hear this while show. Definitely a RARE jewel.
I don't see how they compare these average singers of today to her. Her voice was miles above and it was really real, not autotune. This woman just had an amazing voice not commonly found in singers.
I saw this show at the Roxy in Hollywood, then and there I knew that I was witnessing an anointed voice! Whitney's voice, spirit and personality takes an audience to heights and depths that only God can give the approval for. Thank you God that I can say, that I was there many, many times. Thank you for Whitney Houston, please bless her voice always. Thank you our Heavenly Father Most High God!!!
No One Will ever top her. The best. Her brother has a great voice, I wonder why he never tried it on his own.I believe to had to tour with Whitney to keep her on the right track and protect her.
Her brother was a drug addict before she was one. He was kicked out of the NBA because of his drug issues, and that's when he ended up on tour with Whitney. Both of Whitney's brothers have had a lot of issues and were dependent on her. They are actually the ones who lured her into the drugs.
I have replayed this over & over...it's so uplifting...Whitney is beyond, there's only one Whitney, OMFG!!! She sings the bollocks out of this tune & so young in control, best ever!
She has always been "The place of peace" for my heart when I need, When I am down / sad, lonely , angry or stressed... Her voice always heal the pain... A sacred place which never fails me. has always been and will always be!!! RIP WH... your most loyal fan!! love you from all of my heart!
Whitney is truly one of the greatest artists of all time who inspired many other talented artists from the time her career began until now. She will be missed. I hope her fans will remember her for the positive influence she had on the world of music. RIP Whitney, thank you for all of your passion and hard work that lead to the best love ballads I've ever listened to!
I can see in my minds eye Whitney, Michael and beautiful little Amy singing to our Lord in Heaven. RIP Whitney......another beautiful song bird released from earthly cage....fly free beautiful singers.;)
amazing. THE VOICE. missed. the only person she sang better with than gary...her momma...that is family harmony and talent. and her "sister" cece...those two sang like angels. so thankful for this woman and her family and friends and music. GOD BLESSED.
+Henry G That was very nice of you to say Henry. While Whitney ultimately made her own decisions I still do have a strong belief that the people in our lives who we associate with also have a major impact on the decisions we make. People around us can either empower us or weaken us. Maybe someone with your spirit would have empowered her!
IN MY OPINION... WHITNEY HOUSTON DON'T HAVE TO SING ANOTHER SONG.... SHE HAS OUT SUNG 10 FUTURE GENERATIONS TO COME..... HER FIRST 10 YEARS IN THE GAME..... AGAIN MY OPINION.........
I never knew her brother Gary could sing, goes to show it's in the DNA, I might be wrong but my dear friend Bryan Williams went to Fairleigh-Dickinson University in North Jersey with Gary in the early 1980's on a Track Scholarship
She originally sang this with Jermaine Jackson. I am not saying that it was sexual but a young woman standing in front of a Jackson in the early 80's, especially Michael or Jermaine, was probably not thinking "oh Jesus, no one loves me like you!" I doubt that was on her mind.
I didn't say it was Gary who got her high, I said Gary got high with her. Nevertheless, I don't buy that Michael was responsible for it either. Whitney was an individual and she made some unfortunate choices.
she was a young and impressionable. Older siblings should not have been doing that around their baby sister. Sugar coat it all you like, we live in a western world so this is acceptable, but a huge error.
Vocally, she was perfection. Her tone, control, power, resonance, head notes, vibrato, chest voice, clarity etc... Everything was just naturally beautiful. Excellent performance, and I don't even like this song. But, anything with her voice (during this time) makes the song perfect. lol
every time I hear her voice, I understand why some people call her the eighth wonder of the world , cause it makes me wonder how a voice can be so perfect. Her voice is so delicate , so pure , soulful , beautiful , not to mention naturally flowing , in my fantasy world, as silly as it sounds, whenever I watch the preacher's wife, it makes me think what if Whitney was an angel who just wanted to experience earth for a little while so God sent her , and when her time was up he took her back. Whitney forever.
And how many octaves did she hit ..like 50..the mike couldn't handle her voice...it was too much power going in...wow...Nobody can sing like you do...omg.. i m shook
I don't believe any of those stories they talk about how Whitney got on drugs. I am from this area (greater New York City) and grew up around the same time Whitney did. I went to college with some people that knew them all very well. Whitney was getting high when she was modeling (early 80's). She came out of high school in 81 and by 83, Whitney had already been introduced to hard drugs. Cissy and her father John is at fault because Cissy was running around trying to have a music career.
The man singing next to her introduced her to drugs in the early 80's actually. He admitted out his own mouth this performance was in 1984 Whitney opened for Luther Van Dross & James Ingram. That was a hell of a Concert Luther, Whitney, and James
People who want to make money sing love songs with their sisters. Look how she lays her head on his chest at the end, that's familial love. Too bad he couldn't be a better brother and not get high with her though.
Dionne's voice wasjust as nice, a lot of times she soulnds exactly like Dionne. go andlisten to some of dionnes's earlier hits. Her brother can sing too.
