Love your Videos. That is some collection right there. Thanks for sharing. I have a P with a Threat Cadre comp and love it. Shooting an Alien would be a kick. Or would it?? 😉
Skip, take it for what's it's worth but I've spent a decent amount of time talking with some of the top 2011 builders and my takeaway from them is the x factor of why guns like night hawk trs comp and Atlas Erebus feel better then the xc is the guys building the guns understand timing of the gun better. Not to mention all the hand fitting. And better parts etc. I know the staccato boys all lose their minds when you imply they arnt the best guns on earth but the simple truth is a mostly production gun at 4k is never gonna compete with hand build high end guns that cost 50% more.
The Nighthawk is my favorite, It may not be the flattest shooting compare to a Atlas Erebus but when it comes to "Duty & Conceal Carry" I find that I trust my life the most with Nighthawk because of the fit and finish. I know the TRS Comp & XC shoot the same but I like the fact that the TRS Comp doesn't have windows cut and it's running a 9 lbs spring instead of the 8 lbs spring. I find that it's more of a Duty gun and I find the XC more of a competition gun. I do Appendix carry the XC and I'm running the 9 lbs spring because I can't trust my life with the standard 8 lbs spring. I can't afford the Nighthawk just yet but soon I will order that bad boy!
polymer grips on metal 2011 makes them shoot better . They provide a small flex and work in a way like a shock absorber reducing the recoil feel even more . Plus metal grips tend to slip on hot days or long match days . Polymer grips every single day . Love the night hawk !!!
@@SkipsGunz don't think you understood my comment . First positive on polymer grips is flex and less recoil feel . Second is better grip especially on warm days when your hands swet or on long competition matches with rapid fire and double taps . I shoot IPSC with an xdm 5.25 elite and a ts2 . First thing I swapped on the CZ TS2 where the metal grips . Polymer offer more traction and less chances of breaking your firing grip during a long stage
I would have went for a custom TRS Comp, with Sandhawk slide cuts, IOS, blacked out DLC, etc...but they have a ~20 month wait time, plus I didn't love the grip tbh. Went with the XC instead and had it in hand in less than a week. No regrets yet, though I may still get a Nighthawk one day.
@@SkipsGunz misread your comment. Sorry, still love your work but have to disagree on significant differences portion. I was strictly commenting on performance side of things. I shot most of the guns in this video besides the Alien. And as an recreational shooter or your average gun enthusiast, I cannot see huge differences going from XC to TRS Comp. So is there 3-4k difference in the performance…only probably some true pro shooters can tell as well as ever popular placebo effect knowing it was Atlas or NC or Infinity or Cabbot etc.
did you just complain about one of the things that makes 2011 such a great shooter, polymer grips ARE 2011. Its a sand viper ffs, pretty sure Taran knows what hes doing.
Gona disagree there buddy and if u didn’t notice all the other guns had aluminum grips nd shot the same tti builds resells not builds a great gun no argument but he also wants money so u geta polymer grip on a $7500 for now btw
And for the “Taran knows what he’s doing comment” Taran knows how to “save on cost” and STILL have the balls to charge you $7,000+ on a pistol that has a SHIT coating and a plastic grip…but HEY! John wick shot it right?! 😂🤣
Taran also still runs key mod his ars are bcm guns he loves the trijicon v cog and put out a blowback PCC acting like it was new technology there is nothing wrong with any of those things but they are by no means the top end of product in the field. Taran is a company first money will always be the goal and people will pay for branding
