Don’t know if you have ever had your car stolen, but they don’t leave it in pristine condition. There are usually signs it was broken into or trash in it. Car seems to be locked. Could also be like the abandoned cars in Dubai, couldn’t afford it and left the country

That Eleanor was probably purchased at that business that went under and probably a finance company that also went under and the vehicle was probably parked in somebody's garage at some point. If all that is the case they never got the pink slip and there was no place to send the payments and it was just parked out on the road by someone that bought it as a gift or something considering there are no plates on it.
I would have gone a bit further with the dealership that sold it and found out who owned the dealership and found his home address and knocked on his door.
