@@statickk14In India, accomplished sports persons get facilities you can't even imagine. Previous govts have done everything years ago to change their situation. Giving them ST (scheduled tribe) status was a very important step. So pls know the facts first.

I understood everything the Indian Siddis said. The language they speak is very similar to the language spoken by the descendants of Indians in my native country Surinam. I also understood the language of the journalist/interviewer. I'm baffled. My great grandparents are from Bihar and UP from the North East and North of India while Karnataka is in the South West of India.
India should be very proud having so many different communities . Very person should be treated same regardless the ethnicity. Respect to the Siddi community ❤
They are so far off yet they still know where Tripura (North East, India) is, that shows how they are more knowledgeable than some of the Mainland Indians. Decent, friendly and very hospitalitable people.

I am a borned guyanese of indian decent who settled in the Caribbean during the indentured period.These people can speak hindi while that is a lost language in our country but we carry on the indian religion and culture via english.jai hind india.

My people are from Karnataka. My Mom told me that one of my ancestors belonged to the Siddi community. Decades later, many of the descendants have the typical frizzy African hair. I hope Government helps the Siddi people.

Bantu tribal people are from Nyansa Region of South East Africa. Brought by Portuguese as slaves in Goa. These people escaped & lived in hilly Forests like Yallapur. Habshis people are from Abesinia the present day Ethiopia.
Why government isn't doing to help them to play sport's They can definitely play well in football and in other sports but they need help and assistance from government They shouldn't be ignored they are Indians

The indigenous people of India are black Africans. These people are not as old as the Jarawas, Jangils, Onge, Sentinelese and Andamanese. If we see Black Australia as native tribes India is the same. Out of Africa migration 1000 of years ago. East Africa slave trade is new in black history.

The main problem in reservations is same families are enjoying the reservations Inspite of climbing the social ladder and deprive other deserving underprivileged to rise in life. High time the privileged community who have reaped the benefits are depriving their own brothers!
The introduction of the reservation system was done to help the underprivileged but we won't see equality unless people start using that opportunity wisely.

I am not talking of financial assistance but moral support and kind and encouraging words. Proper guidance and counselling which NGO s have miserably failed over decades!
Siddis were first brought by Arab traders then later inbetween 17th to 19th century majority of Siddis were slavetraded to India. Its just that as this video was not completely focused on their history so I didnot talk much about their backround.
Where is the Bajrang Dal and VHP now. This Siddhi community has been deprived of a living. Bajrang Dal or VHP enters the fray only if any Tribal changes his or her religion and not otherwise.
