I’m still waiting on the Silver the Hedgehog game

I love how Silver is simultaneously the complete opposite of Shadow while also being very similar. Shadow is a confident and reserved stoic who is fixated on the past while Silver is a socially awkward cinnamon roll who is fixated on the future. Yet both have burdened themselves with the responsibility of protecting the entire world out of duty, unlike Sonic who protects the world because it brings him joy.

I do think that shadow could be silver's father or ancestor, but I think the mother is some random hedgehog

I like the theory that Silver is related in someway to Shadow - especially with the points you made - but with Silver being 200 years in the future he could also be related to BOTH Shadow & Amy without them being a couple. Maybe Amy & Sonic do wind up together and their descendant wound up with a descendant of Shadow (and possibly Rouge? bc white fur? ) It's fun headcanon xD

I would say Shadow, "they both have neck fur" as you stated, and both Shadow and Silver learned "Chaos Control" in an instant. Bit Silver is very clumsy!

I'd say Sonic and Amy are Silvers ancestors. Sonic is also capable of chaos control, and Amy has psychic abilities. That blend could easily result in telekinetic abilities.

I could see Shadow being Silver's father due to the fact that Shadow will still be around unlike the others. It could be possible that Shadow married and impregnated a silver hedgehog that was likely a descendant of Sonic & Amy's family. As for Amy being his mom, it gets ruled out due to it being 200 years into the future.

Your forgetting one thing shadow was turned on by omega and GUN we don't know exactly when this happens but if shadow really is silvers father he would've had to been locked away after silver was born also someone would've had to teach him about chaos control most likely his father and considering the fact that silver doesn't recognize his own supposed father tells me that shadow isn't and he was locked away long before silver was even a thought

Id want to believe his ancestor is Rouge, as she is the one character that spends more time w Shadow, plus that would also explain Silver fur color, since Rouge's fur is White, and although not canon in the comics we see Sonic and Sally have 2 kids one being a Hedgehog and the other being a Squirrel/Chipmunk (whatever she is)

Personally, I just developed a theory where Silver is actually a bio-engineered hedgehog like Shadow with sad black hedgehog being his genetic template, and was given false memories like Shadow to believe he came from an actual mom and dad so as to influence him to actively help humanity out of choice instead of obligation, so as to avoid having him create the same mistakes Shadow did, which the masses do not understand was made by that same attachment. All of it effectively being the end to make Humanity’s Final Hope, their True Ultimate Lifeform. Honestly, it sounds badass and would give Silver a lot of turmoil, opening the gates for growth and character development. Too bad, knowing Sega and how they live keeping things ambiguous, that isn’t likely going to happen and we won’t get the answers for a long time… like, a few generations after us long time.

Can you STOP using the term 'mother' and 'father' to modern day Sonic characters! Use 'ancestors' because Silver is from hundreds of years into the future!

Shadow is the only character that could possibly be Silver’s parent. Silver’s from 200 years in the future so it would made zero sense for other characters to be his parents because they all would’ve died long before Silver was born. Shadow is immortal and never ages, which means he could have a baby in any century he feels like. If Shadow wanted to wait 2 centuries before having a baby, he’d be able to since he’s gonna be young and healthy forever. Shadow would never get too old to have a baby.

I honestly think it's Shadow and Rouge. Shadow has his chaos abilities plus he's a hedgehog like Silver. Also, Silver's fur is a darkish white which could be a result of Rouge's white fur and Shadow's dark fur. But as you said, Silver doesn't really show signs of a crossbread.

For one thing, I do believe that Shadow could be Silver's father for pretty obvious reasons. But the theory about Blaze being Silver's mother just boggles my mind. It was pretty clear that Silver and Blaze are just best friends in Sonic 06. I'd also like to point out that both Blaze and Silver exist in the same time line in 06. Furthermore, I'm pretty sure they're the same age as well. So, my best bet is that Amy is Silver's mother.

Good theory, but there are some problems, not with your theory but with the idea of Shadow and Amy being the parents. 1. They don’t seem to have much chemistry. Amy is currently with Sonic, and Shadow doesn’t really seem interested in romance. 2. One of the creators of Shadow the hedgehog has already said that shadow is not the father. 3. If we use “Sonic and the Black Knight” family tree as evidence then Sonic would be Knuckles’ Uncle; this is because Sir Gawain is King Author’s nephew. 4. If shadow was the father, don’t you think Silver would have other visual similarities? Maybe black and red fur... Good video though.

My theory is that Silvers parents are Shadow and Rouge, Why Shadow, Because if his Chest fur and the black stripes around his eyes. Why Rouge, Well the most supported theory I have is that why else would his quills/fur be a grayish white, also just the Shadow and Rouge ship seem the be the more likely option, just in general for those characters(not even including that silver could be the potential offspring.) Now for his powers, his psychokinesis can come from his Black Arms DNA seeing as he is Shadows son that makes him at least part hedgehog and part darkling. Also why do I call Shadow and Rouge his parents and not his ancestors, again Black Arms DNA. Shadow, although he can still die, he cannot die from old age and stuff like that. So he is immortal he can still die from fatal wounds. This ability comes from Shadows Black Arms DNA. Silver, having even less Black Arms DNA then Shadow,(Because Shadow is 50% Hedgehog and 50% Black Arms/Darkling. So with this Silver would be 25% Hedgehog, 25% Black Arms/Darkling, and 25% Bat, because of Rouge.) So seeing as he has less DNA Black Arms DNA then Shadow he wouldn’t be immortal, more like very slow aging, so by the time we see him in 06, even though he looks like a 14 year old Hedgehog, he’s actually something around his 200’s. But that’s just my theory on it.

It's always been a fun theory. However Sega has already confirmed awhile ago that silver is not related to any of the current characters. His biological parents were just some random people. This is probably for the best because, it's more realistic and prevents the fan ships from being incest.

Silver is 100% Shadow's DESCENDANT (Not son) in my mind, I'd say when looking at how other Mobians interbreed they seem to only make a single species. For example Sally and Sonic in the future arc and so on. Thus, I'd say it doesn't matter who his mother is really. It could really be anyone. Hell he could be purely Amy's descendant but he's definitely not Sonic's own. Amy or Shadow are my bets.

With shadow not aging him being silvers dad is a possiblity. I'm guessing his mom would be a random future hedgehog. As being from 200 years in the future makes amy being his mom seem unlikley. His mom is probably a random female hedgehog in the future.

He's definitely Amy's descendant, at least considering her relationship with tarot cards and her unexplained psychic powers. Amy has been able to find Sonic without having anything to go on, but her "intuition" and although not canon, the Archie comics gave her a talent for magic, able to easily learn incantations (like in that ocean kingdom).

You know why people don't pay attention to is that Silver is white or Silver (no pun intended😅) and Blaze is purple and Amy is pink and that if Shadow is his dad I don't think that makes white so by my speculation Silver's mom is some one we haven't met yet and by my guess she's wihite with yellow eyes and she doesn't have to be a hedgehog because if Shadow is Silver dad that means Silver's fur and eyes color are his mom's and mostly you get things from both your parents like eye and hair color and so silver might look like a hedgehog because of Shadow but what do I know😅.

I think that rouge might be sliver's mother since from a color standpoint they do match up. And the 3 main hedgehogs in the series are sonic, shadow, and Amy. And they all have 6 quills. on their head. with sliver being the only variation form this design. On one hand this could be because he was not meant to be a hedgehog, or it could be because they wanted him to stand out, but I think that his color alone proves that fact. Although his psychokinesis is the tricky part, although it could just be him using his chaos energy in a different way unknown to himself. but at the same time Sonic's speed is never explained and neither in knuckle's ability to glide so it could just be as simple as that. even if Amy and her taro cards do explain his power that is a very minor use of the power compared to what sliver does.

It is possible that silver is a result of someone revisiting project shadow and not using black Doom’s DNA in it. Think about it we don’t know the fur color of the Mobian hedgehog who’s DNA was used as the base. But we do know the red & black coloration on shadow is because a black doom’s DNA.

Sorry but the most plausible thing would be, that the developers just created him with no back story. Thats also how the developers did thousand other things. We don't know any parents except maybe Sonic and Cream.

Shadow can't die of old age since he doesn't age physically. So I think it's possible for him to've had an affair with anybody in the future. If he did, then he could end up being Silver's direct father and not like his great, great, great, grandfather. Or if Shadow and I dun know, Amy got together, they could've started Silver's blood line. But in the comics it's possible for inter-species relationships to acre. So it doesn't matter who the mother is tbh. As long as you have one male Hedgehog in the mix, you'll always get at least one male hedgehog child. Would be nice to see if the ship I like so much happens to happen (aka, Shadamy).

I know I am going to sound crazy for this but my theory is that noone at all is silvers parents. Now hear me out, this is a theroy I heard about awhile back and this is my take on it. The theory goes is that Dr Robotnik before any of the sonic games was researching on geralds inventions and stuff and found out about shadow, there he wanted to invent his own version of shadow called project sonic, when he was making him he made many similarites to shadow (Super Speed, Chaos Control, Similar Looks, Ect) and Sonic The Hedgehog was born, however a accident happened and even though he was just as good as Shadow, Sonic wouldn't be loyal to Robotnik at all so Robotnik tamed him and made a invention to erase memories and erased Sonic's memories of Robotnik creating him, later sonic would escape Robotnik with still having memory of hating him and Robotnik later erased his memories of creating Sonic because he regrets creating the thing that would lead to his demise multiple times and explains why all the metal sonics are able to compete with sonic but he wasn't able to get Shadow quiet right. Same goes with Eggman Nega who is confirmed to be a ancestor of Robotnik, he also was looking into the research of Shadow and made Project Silver, however, he lost Silver in an accident which is why Silver has no memory of it and why Nega has no memory of it is because he decieded to forget about it and ditch it and just moved on to better inventions, he didn't remember too much of Project Silver anyways. That is my theory atleast.

I can see this being true, alot of people believe that Amy and Shadow are indeed his parents. I would like to think that Shadow and Amy are indeed Silver's parents, however there is one thing that is making me re-think this. Shadow is immortal, Silver is from years into the future. So it would make sense that Shadow is his father because he lives forever so he can live long enough to get another girl pregnant therefore giving you Silver. However Amy isn't immortal. That's what's confusing, because Silver is from the future like hundreds of years into the future, Amy would be dead by then due to ageing. However, I'm not sure if this backs it up, but here's the chart from Hedgehog years equivalent to Human years: Hedgehog Age in Calendar Years 4 years & 2 months = 70 years 5 years & 4 months = 80 years 6 years & 2 months = 90 years 7 years & 8 months = 100 years Amy is 12 and in some cases 13+ Cause she's a hedgehog, her age is in hedgehog years, if she's 12+ in hedgehog years then she will live past 100 in human years (the years we see them in) meaning she could possibly live long enough to give birth to Silver. However this is still quite confusing. The wiki even says Amy and Shadow are his parents, alot of people believe in this. Google says it, other search engines etc. It seems to be the most logical however there are still holes in this theory that will take alot of thinking to fill those holes. I'm thinking this theory could be correct and there may be some huge reason to fill in the holes that we're forgetting to make Shadow and Amy his parents. I'm just gonna say they are for now since even the internet says it. If you search up his parents, Shadow and Amy, if you search up "Amy's kid", Silver. If you search "Shadow's kid", Silver. If you search if Amy is Silver's mum, Silver the hedgehog is the son of "Shadow and Amy" Either way it always links back to Shadow and Amy. Overrall, this theory is great and I would love to believe that Shadow and Amy are indeed Silver's parents. But we can't confirm anything yet. I like ShadAmy, however I'm not a multi- shipper, I ship SonAmy and I find ShadAmy cute but I don't ship it. However I would like to think they are his parents so this confuses me how I ship Amy with Sonic ONLY and then I want to think of her as Shadow's wife or whatever and giving birth to Silver. Which makes no sense but maybe SonAmy doesn't happen in the games or whatever. If that was true I guess ShadAmy would be the next best ship with Amy. And it would make more sense to her being Silver's mother. Gosh if only they gave us more hints to the mother than the father.

What if Rouge is the mother? Hear me out: if this parallel of DBZ and Sonic were taken at face value (ex. Shadow = Vegeta / Silver = Trunks) then Rouge = Bulma! They both search for treasure/dragon balls and their offsprings inherent their hair color! I know this sounds crazy and I don’t expect you to agree with me but just consider the similarities these characters have!
