Homeless are 'farmed' as a convenient money laundering apparatus. Money goes 'in' to 'solve' the problem, and everybody gets rich. Think about it... the whole farm (plantation) is legalized... drug possession, drug use, shoplifting, homelessness... they WANT as many homeless as possible, because they're all getting rich by routing your tax money to their buddies, for kickbacks.

@@mattycampy Good point, Matt; sounds like there are a few issues to analyze there. Yes, we want the mayor to be compensated enough to do the job well, but enough to live in a $2 million house? Why does the house cost $2 million in the first place? And why have we created this dichotomy between the $2 million house and the hood? What happened to the more reasonable options in between the extremes?
Greed, greed, and greed. It will bring you down no matter how rich, how invincible you think you are. I'm a Vietnamese myself and have seen our people, starting very humble, and get sucessful and become richer and richer. At some point, blinded by cash and fame, they forgot their humble begining and start to go beyond the law of this land just to get rich. How rich do they want to be? This country is not like Vietnam where they come from. This is a beautiful country where there is law and law abiding people. These local Americans, they might not work as hard as the newcomers, but they are decent and do everthing according to the book, just like their ancestors had. This is why we have a powerful and rich America as we have today. Everytime I saw in the news where Vietnamese doctors, dentists, pharmacist, politicians getting thrown to jail for cheating, I felf hurt and ashamed. Today, I again feel very ashamed of my Vietnamese people. God bless America, land that I love.

Generally speaking, garbage companies have a monopoly on customers -- you are legally forced to have garbage service, therefore forced to pay whatever price they demand. That kind of business goes hand in hand with corruption.

I worked for CWS as a Driver (Oakland and San Jose) in '09-'10 and it wasn't so much the Company but the Management that if you didn't have any family members as another Driver, you were treated like shit and they did whatever they could to make it hard on you.

The craziest thing is there are 2 big drug dealers in our town who own most of the businesses and they are running around freely like nothing is wrong. Seriously, where is the police and FBI arresting them
