I never was a Star Wars fan but damn this Mandalorian series has me interested. Favreau has been on a different level ever since Ironman.

Mandalorians are Space Spartans with Saiyan mentality

One of my favourite moments in Star wars Rebels was when Kannan was training Sabeen to use the dark saber and another Madalorian gave her the anti-Jedi technology to use against him instead of learning proper lightsaber form. Kannan basically bitch slapped her, destroyed the technology, and said "HISTORY LESSON the Madalorian's LOST the war with the Jedi"... She didn't rely on the technology again.

The 1st episode of Mandalorian was better then the entire Solo movie

In legends: Boba survives the sarlacc pit, helps out Dengar, goes to Mandalore, helps them out so much he becomes an honorary mandalorian and becomes the new Mandalore. And then Disney happened.

Funny, Jango was nearly considered a true Mandalorian, but Boba was a clone; though it turns out, they were not true Mandalorians.

I don't like the "canon" view of mandalorians. In "legends" its stated that anyone can be a mandalorian, it's a way of life, a creed to follow, not a race of people. They explain a lot of this and even introduce a lot of other very interesting races and ways of life in the legacy of the force series of books. They are, in my opinion, a perfect continuation of the star wars movies and it's a shame that it is ignored so much and shoved aside as "non-canon" by the people writing for star wars now.

Mandalorians are not a race, but people living under a common cultural background, language and way of life.

They have since retconned Jango not being a Mandalorian to being raised by The Children Of The Watch which makes him a Mandalorian. I guess I’d say the same for Boba as he was raised by Jango The line in the clone wars might now be read as he not being seen as a true Mandalorian by more conservative types

Since Boba Fett has been redeemed in the second season of The Mandalorian, I think he deserves to earn the same title of his father, who was a foundling that turned into the legendary Mandalorian Bounty Hunter with a code of honor.

Mandalorians lasted longer than multiple republics. Also shout out to Canderous Ordo who really made me love the Mandalorians and Mira the first Mandalorian who became a jedi. I know Mira wasn’t born a Mandalorian but she was raised by them and fought in the Mandalorian Wars for the Mandalorians.

I literally cannot wait for this show. The premise and setting looks so good and entertaining. I love the mystery character of the Mandalorian, how he’s like some kind of cowboy but also has a white knight thing going on, it’s so good.

I really like the Mandalorians. Their culture is open to most people, and it can held a wild variety of personalities. (Please correct me if I make mistake here, I don't have the patience to read through all the wiki and condensed material) -What everyone knows is fighting, you are expected to, however if you can settle down in other areas, though there will be snots who will look down on you. Most of them are soldier for hire, because of the love of conflict, (Are there mando's who likes to do morally good things? exception Sabine, i couldn't really find anyone else atm) -A good number of them, have dignity and honor, they like picking fight's with the strong not the 'weak'. Generally they aren't mindless murder machines and they usually don't target civs. -They are absolutely loyal to their friends and families. Marriage is a big deal for them. -Their armor is badass, they wear it with pride. TLDR: I fucking love Mando's

After watching Clone Wars and Rebels and everything else. I can just say, even though they are cool, the Mandalorians are jerks. They keep fighting with themselves, most of them hate the Jedi, and with the exception of Sabine, they are not really team players.

Such a great time to be a Star Wars fan! May the force be with us all! 🦾

Boba Fett actually became Mandalore in the Extended Universe. They chose him as leader later and despite the issues they had with Jedi, they helped them off and on during wars and other existential threats. Canon, as we can see, goes in a different direction.

Not sure why they felt it necessary to retcon the Fett's Mando status. In Legends Boba went on to become Mandalore. Why make them "pretenders?" Stoked for the show. I have faith in Favreau

Lot of people seem angry about the 2 minute ad... Am I the only one who loves to see my favorite youtubers do a sponsored ad? or I even love clicking a video and having to watch a few youtube ads sprinkled throughout the video. Cuz that means that my favorite youtubers are earning money, hopefully enough to keep doing what they're doing, or even get better at what they're doing. And it also means that every time I watch a video, I'm directly supporting them, paying them technically. It's why I don't use adblock. Also, if you don't wana listen to his ad, skip it. very easy to do. No need to slam a guy whose just trying to make a living entertaining us.

Am I the only one who thinks the disowning of Jango Fett was just a political move made by the Mandalorian government so they couldn't be held accountable? Its entirely plausible because we later discover in the same series there's much more corruption there then were initially lead to believe, not to mention Death Watch never disowned him or mention him at all, its entirely possible Jango was simply a Renegade. After all Rex was the clone with the closest match to the original DNA and he fights like a pure blood Mandalorian.

To anyone not familiar with Star Wars, Legends are the Lucas movies and amazing books. Canon is what Disney has now named the utter garbage they have been coming out with the last couple of years. The real fans know what I'm talking about. Search your feelings Disney, you know it to be true!

Since the new cannon just rips off the old one, can we just roll the events of KOTOR in part and parcel? Makes more sense that way and is cooler besides.

The thing is, Mandalorians are like the Germans. The Germans were united under language and culture as too were the Mandalorians who united under language and culture, not caring about the colour your skin, therefore, as long as Boba Fett had the same culture and language as the Mandalorians he himself would be a Mandalorian.

The closest to mandalorians we've got are the Spartans just imagine instead of the Spartans dying they just became really less common to be seen and thier armor became more and more valuable

I always liked spartan stories, so I was just hooked on everything Mandalorian. Glad they are getting more interest.

To this date i prefer the potrayal made by Karen Traviss. Originaly she was hired to characterize these people in her novels and made a good job.

You forgot the part where The Death watch destroy new Mandalore, Pre Visla is beheaded by Darth Maul, Maul kills Satine and takes control of the planet until Ahsoka, Rex, Deatg Watch and a section of the 501st take down Maul and his Mandalorian army....but I guess some of that is yet to be released so I can wait...

Jango Fett was adopted into the Mandalorians. Mandalorians have a long tradition of recruiting people to their ways, or the practice of taking in "foundlings" which are usually children of any gender or species, and adopting them into their clans of those who find and adopt them. One does not need to be born mandalorian. They're a culture, not a race.

Well... In legends being a mandalorian was not about blood or religion but about culture. If you followed their warrior culture then you where a mandalorian. So I think the denouncement of Jango where more opinion then fact.

The Republic Commando book series is a great place to start for an in depth look at Mandalorian culture

That means we have yet to see a REAL Mandalorian fight a Jedi. JANGO put up a real good fight for being a regular guy.

You are a mind reader because I am a novice when it comes to comics but I find them to be my preferred source for entertainment with my now very limited time. I think you may have quite a strong connection with the force ✌️
