First video in our Epic FCX18 K10 build off between myself, Cape Crawlers and Crawlstock RC. In this video we're doing our cosmetic mods to the K10 to make it look awesome and unique. lookin pretty cool. I would weather the wheels and seal everything with a few layers of mattcote. Have at least one dent in the drivers door and fit some dimmed headlamps, weather down warm white LEDs and dirty up the lamp lenses so they are not pure clean white & use current limiting resistor to make them dim, A set of scruffy old number plates would be a nice final touch. Not sure if all the geese will be happy after a roll over, try to keep the animals pointing at the sky -grin-

Sounds cool. 👍 I did weather the wheels. Unfortunately the lacquer wasn't flat, so it was a little too shiny. I need to up my skills to the next level for dents and proper rusty holes. 🤣👍

Absolutely love this build ! Planning on getting one from fair rc , now I think I'll do something similar with the wood panels. Reminds me of my grandpas farm truck that I used to use to go dump the garbage at the land fill.

Thanks very much, I enjoyed it and was really happy with the results. I did actually do a bit on Indy and the animals, but you probably couldn't see it. I just dulled their brightness down a bit so they didn't look so new. 👍

Random question does anybody know if you can wash off the wear and tear stuff if it doesn’t look good

If you don’t seal it, IPA/any spirits will clean it straight off usually!

Yeah you can. As you apply it you can wash it off. Once it's dry, or if you apply it dry, you'd need to use something more potent to remove it. 👍

I am not a fan of fake patina or weathering. I understand real faded paint and aging on a real old vehicle being like a badge of honor for durability but it ends there for me. Luckily how other folks like their stuff doesn't affect me. I'll keep my stuff nice and new looking.
