You’re spot on with Cafcass. Legally their first meeting must be with both parties together in a room. I turned up to the family court with Cafcass already in a meeting with my ex wife and her parents. They then come into my room, and before I could say anything, listed the false accusations made against me. No chance to defend myself. Guilty until proven innocent. It hits you hard - BOOM, treated as not good enough to be their dad. From then on, one hour visits with sons in a safe house - I wouldn’t wish that feeling on any parent. Eventually proved it as all lies, but that slow legal process took away months of time spent with them. Any apology from the courts? Haha A mother’s ‘word’ is all the courts need for it to be taken as truthful. That’s just not right, in any legal system. The sad irony with it all…it not only a dad hurting, but the kids too. The law needs to change, and quickly.

Been through this all and managed to get shared custody of my daughter but cost me around £30000. Obviously worth every penny but is so weighted still in a mother's favour even in 2023.

Boy do I feel your pain mate, 8 years later I'm still going through it, I was with my ex 20 years , she became a lezbo ,kicked me out ,stopped me from seeing my daughter, because her new girlfriend grew a pair of balls and decided she was going to be the Dad!! I got arrested for trying to Hang myself in the local park ,coz I was devastated, humiliated, and broken hearted, they (guff)csgassed me from carrying out what I wanted to do at the time. And cos of this they said I'm an unfit parent,I can't even fight for visiting rights or custody as I found out my Ex didn't even put my name on the Birth certificate, my daughter is blind with cerebral palsy and they won't let her make a decision on weather she wants to see me or not ,which I know she does as I was the main carer for 16 1/2 years and we had an unbreakable loving Bond, I've tried everything to get to see my angel, but because I'm homophobic and not fkn woke enough it's crushed me to which I had a heart attack, then a mini stroke, as I found out I'll never be able to fight for my little girl. Please reduce ya stress mate I don't want another decent guy get unwell over it. Stay strong be with the people who live ya. I have no-one as I've ghosted ev1 coz of it . Don’t forget you have a history of domestic abuse, breaching restraining orders and have recently been in crown court charged with GBH with intent and dangerous driving. May have something to do with why your visiting rights are compromised

Been through this was a role model dad. When ever we went anywhere nice it was me who took them while she stayed at home drinking.. Came home one day she gone took the kids. I was suicidal as my kids was my life. When I finally found out where they were I sent solicitors letters mediation letters she ignored them all. When she finally replied to letters we went to mediation and I was allowed to see them twice a week. And when I asked my daughter if she would like to go on holiday twat head took a jealous offence to this and stopped me seeing them and when I was going down to pick them up the police would be there waiting for me.. She was making up stories to the police in which they seemed fit to try issue me a harrasment notice and warned me I'd be arrested. Well I finally had to give up. So I got on with my life and lived in Tunisia for a while only for my mother to ring me and say the police had been to the house that I had been there causing trouble. Funny that when I was staying in Tunis. So when I finally came back I rang the Police only for them to come to my house and warn me to stay away or be arrested. Never mind I showed them my passport with me in Tunis.. So here I am miss them every day and it's been about 15 years now. Missed all the best time them growing up. It's a disgrace really is

100% my brothers ex did exactly this with not one ounce of proof for a non molestation order yet got it! We haven’t seen his kids since she disappeared with Anthony, Callum & Chloe 15 years ago! I found my nephews on Facebook & they blocked me! Obviously because they have heard one side of the story! They are now adults, I miss them every day of my life! I loved those children with all my heart & my poor parents had to go to their graves without ever setting eyes on their beloved grandchildren ever again!

I've got a marker against my name for DV and after 2 years of this crap I WON my 4 kids and the mother disappeared.... But still to this day, 12 years later I've got DV against me despite NEVER being done for it!!! But I had the honour of bringing up my 4 minions and still am, ❤ Kids doing amazing, 2 in futher education, 2 in high school. Us fathers should be given a equal and fare saying on our children's lives and upbringing as we ain't always the guys some evil women claim we are. Also when it comes out that the women has lied to cause trouble for the man and like my case got me put in prison... The women should be prosecuted to the full extent of the law for the lies they tell and the damage they cause to the man and children!!!

I’ve just got out of prison over this as the non molestation order I was not made aware of so contacted me ex partner and breached it and went to prison , all I want to do is see my daughter but it’s going to be minimum 6 months till I got family court 😢

All the respect in the world for Dads fighting for your kids, my lad has done the same thing having to move 4 hours away after his ex partner met someone on line and even though cafcas found him to be a good father her wishes were granted and the kids will " get over it" according to the 3 old farts who were sitting in judgment, never met the kids, more interested in their free lunch than the affect this will have on the kids. Joke of a system and update the kids did not "get over it", 18 months, £25k and six court cases latter they now can see their Dad but live in a town with no family or friends round them the kids are unhappy but hey she is living the life she wants.

Exactly what you was talking about I went thru for 5 years I spent all my granddad money he left me in court I was on my last bit of money that was left to me thinking I’ve finally done finally after 5 years I’ve made it to the end, I can finally see my son! Little did I no she walk out of court and told me to f**k myself and told me I’m not seeing him, so I rang my solicitor and what was the outcome of that..:. Well we need to go back to court ive run out of money at this point my granddad work hard his whole life to look after his family to make sure we was all ok when he was gone, and I’ve just wasted it all, it put me in a very very dark place for a very long time, i pay £60 a week for a son I have not seen for 7 years sorry I thought I’ll see my story but thank Aaron for putting it so black and white I’ve been following you for years your brilliant would appreciate to meet you one day sir! That happened to me the evil ex got a non molestation order on me while I was out of the country no evidence no proof. My daughter lives with me now because her mum hurt her so I exercised my legal right to protect my daughter. She is with me now for safeguarding purposes I’ve spend £15000 already on legal fees to fight her mum to protect my daughter. She got the non mol so she could get legal aid.

This brings back memories, my stepson faced all of this, the only difference was their relationship was only a few weeks. Next thing she’s got a bun in the oven and when my wife said about DNA she got really upset and avoided us for a while. Then there was another young man in the running so yes the DNA was needed. So with our journey when it went to court she claimed domestic abuse so she could receive free legal Aid. But in the Caff Caff report it said there was no domestic abuse so my wife contacted the ministry of justice to report that she was illegally claiming legal aid as there was no domestic abuse . After about £10,000 on legal fees we do get to see our grandson. Oh and yes they did stop her legal aid if you was wondering. Sorry one more thing she had her lips done whilst complaining of having no money to support their child. He also contacted the CSA himself so she couldn’t use this against him. It is a long dark journey but once you make it through it worthwhile.

My son is going through the courts .Hes working all the hours to pay to go through court.But listen to this the court is on his side because his ex has been unreasonable by stopping him from seeing his child but has an exceptional. He records everything down that happens.Hes at minute just about to go to court.She started letting him see his young un. Why because the CafCass have seen his fight to see his son. She on the other hand has been lazy and thought she had the upper hand by being a mother. Now she is bending over backwards. So it can work out for the father if he fights from the off legally. Women think they have the upper hand by doing nothing.
