So Many Died this week. Len Goodman was my favorite judge on DWTS, will miss him greatly. What can you say about Harry that hasn't been said?. I was just thinking about him on Monday, when I saw on RU-vid all the entertainers over 90 that were still alive. Very,very sad indeed, but he lived a long productive life and changed many lives.

Harry Belafonte's records were the background music quite often in my childhood home. My mom loved him and thought he was quite handsome too LOL. As an adult I came to know what an enormously generous and inspirational person he was, and was witness to the impact of his many great achievements and his continued work for mankind.

Harry Belafonte was a beautiful man in every imaginable way; physically, spiritually, and intellectually; his talents were not in only acting and singing, but by being an enormously generous being and a more than excellent man, who impacted millions during his lifetime. His lack of presence will leave an empty place in the positive places of humanity. I thank him for finding the light and following it throughout his life. There should really be a "Harry Belafonte Day" in this country, I can think of no one who would be more deserving of the honor. Bless you Harry Belafonte, and should there be acknowledgement after death of great deeds on earth, may you rejoice in that dimension. You brought joy, hope and great inspiration to those of us who could not accomplish it on our own. Thank you for your exemplary life, you will be missed beyond what words can express.

It’s so true. I’m only 56 but know a lot of the old day actors n singers due to listening to my mums music (she had me when she was 44 so I older parents compared to my friends) mum would watch the oldies n listen to all the music so I grew up appreciating them all. Soon there will be none of that big one era left. A true loss really as no offence to current modern actors but acting is just not the same. All the CGI, effects and just cinematography in general. The old movies strictly relied on the actors raw ability and often the music score. There’s nothing like watching an oldie and I miss doing that with my lovely mum..I miss her so much (passed 3 August 2016) Bless all these we have lost…hope their loved ones stay strong. 💙🙏🏻

Ron Hamilton was a great songwriter & singer who wrote some of the greatest songs in Christian music.! His character "patch the pirate " touched many lives. ! He was also a personal friend of the family & was from the same home town. I know we will see him again. !

The one that really hurts...Jerry's death. In his own way, he gave a voice to those who are rarely heard from and marginalized. The poor white, the fresh off the boat Asian, the ghetto black, the undocumented Latino with broken English, they are the ones who our society blames and scapegoats for our problems, yet they all had a voice on Jerry's show.

Sadly, it would not be surprising if Bob Newhart passes away before too long. Sometimes when a spouse from a long- lived marriage passes away, the surviving spouse can lose the will to live. I hope this does not happen to Bob Newhart. He is a national treasure. He made me laugh hysterically so many times when I was growing up in the 1970's. The Bob Newhart Show was part of the amazing CBS network Saturday night lineup that also included The Mary Tyler Moore Show, All In The Family, MASH, culminating with the Carol Burnett Show. What an amazing time to grow up. I am sending love to Bob Newhart, and condolences to Bob and his family, on the passing of Ginny Newhart. "Moo Goo Goo Goo. More Goo to go." Bob would know what that means. Look this up. As for me, I am peeing my pants laughing. "Hi Bob." Everybody drink!!

I remember my Mom taking me to see Harry Belafonte when he came to Pensacola in the early 60s. What a wonderful concert for this 10 year old boy. I took my saved allowance money and bought his concert album at the Navy Base Exchange. I listened to it a zillion times. I will miss him.

It is a shame that even here on this You Tube channel they forget that Jerry Springer was a political activist and was lead speaker making an appearance before congress to change the voting age to 18, before television! Even then at the end of his show he took a moment to iterate what he thought was a good moral compass for all of us to think about !! RIP Jerry .
