@@adamH.1 fuck I never thought about that but with Gen V showing the Supes beginning to hate humans, the whole army plot from the ending of the comic will eventually become reality
Despite having compound V, I’m surprised this guy has a brain tumor. I mean I thought compound V was supposed to like cure any disease or illness instead, he’s just as vulnerable as any human I mean because Soulja Boy got injected with the very first compound V, the original stuff, and somehow not only has he not aged the day, and he has incredible superpowers, but the guy himself is not even affected by the radiation that was given to him by the Russians, he’s practically healthy you know central old time bomb yet he still looks like he’s healthy
Tek Knight can’t even be considered a villain compared to the other characters in this universe. Sure, he hasn’t done anything about the Woods despite knowing of their existence and has some… certainly interesting kinks. But that’s about it. He’s literally just a really fucking good detective with a big ego
@@TheNathon11 I didn't know that lol. that's amazing cuz I also wanted to see more of him in gen v but I think if he's returning in the boys that will be good enough. Will he use his suit in the boys season 4?
@user-xr3ul2xc1l he's not bad**s at all in the comics. But he is a genuine hero. Not saying he's pathetic, he's obviously a hero for a reason. But yes he's one of the good ones in the Boys universe. I hope they keep that aspect of him. I'm glad people in this show doubt him as he doesn't have any powers and he's basically the batman of The Boys minus the dark and brooding aesthetic (Black Noir).
@@leafyishereisdumbnameakath4259 The greatest shame about tech knight in the comics is that he was actually a good guy/ one of the real heroes- he had these crazy sexual tendencies that made him do anything with a hole because of a tumor he had in his brain
That's a shame because I really thought that Jeffrey Dean was going to portray him. Also this dude is renown for his armor yet we never see it, I get it they have a limited budget for this show but why bother including him if you're not going to show him in his most notable gear?
Honestly was expecting Tek Knight to be closer to Iron Man than Batman since you know Tony Stark is already known to be a degenerate. But this approach is nice as well but I definitely wanna see his suit.
In the comics he's a mix of both of them but definitely more like Batman. He has a butler, a boy side kick and an secret cave under his mansion as well as his identity being a secret.
@@Brandon-br7tc yeah a mix of both of them. He uses an "iron man" style of high tech armour loaded with gadgets to make up for not actually being super human, but beyond that he's Batman with everything else. He even has a Robin style teen side kick, and a version of Nightwing who was the first sidekick until he got too old.
@@jackiesburgersandfries4604She very clearly did react, she instantly stopped taking off her glove and had fear in her eyes. Did you mean he didn’t react?
@@jackiesburgersandfries4604he said that...if you watch with subtitles since he said it off screen to her it read this [Tek] Take that glove off I'll take your f*** had off
2:26 I like to think that Tek Knight knows how powerful she really is, and since we don't see him actually say the line of "Take that glove off I take your fucking hand off", I think Cate just heard him say it in his mind, maybe Tek Knight was testing to see if she could hear thoughts. Just a theory
Compound V is said to make people sterile as well. But clearly there are exceptions, homelander already being one. And homelander too has similar powers to his dad and some more (perhaps from his supe mom)
The rule seems to be children of supes have the same or similar powers to their parents, like Homelander/Ryan, Translucent/Maverick, and Polarity/Andre. I assume Translucent and Polarity were in the half of supes who knew of Compound V and opted to have their children made into supes, awakening the power passed down in their DNA. What makes Ryan special is he didn't need V to grow into a supe.
I don't understand why he threatened her. First off she needs to touch him for that to work. 2nd why exactly would she want to touch him on camera? Maybe she just wanted to relieve her hand
2:23 This line from Tek-Knight is really weird ADR. Tonally off-putting, clearly wasn't there originally. Maybe cause the scene with Cate needed a little more escalation/tension compared to the other interviews? But they went WAY too harsh with it.
Eh, he's a supe, an arrogant one at that. It was edited in but it's not far from a supe's typical aggression; most feel and think as if they can do what they want.
I felt it made sense. He knows she can get him to stop prying with just her touch or whatever else she wants. So he set a boundary. All the big Supes are harsh, Homelander was ready to kill starlight the moment he saw her raise in hands, even tho she was doing it out of shock/ suprise of Hughie being a spy of sorts.
I feel it fits, just wish it was done a little better. He knows what she can do, so I’m not surprised he immediately threatened her when he noticed she was beginning to take it off, tho whether she was doing it simply as a tick from fear or as a plan to get him off her back is impossible to know, even with the context of the finale. It definitely made me go “oh shit” when I heard it since the episode establishes verbally what he was capable of.
@@eazy1174 good analogy but you misunderstand the scenes. in both cases the interrogator is only pretending to feel endangered in order to inimidate the subject.
Tek Knight is exactly like a mind reader, but better. Mind Readers require you to maintain physical touch, and Cate using her powers takes a toll on their body, Mind reader's powers also seem to be limited to their extremities. Most mind readers also seem to have mind reading only, not heightened senses. Tek Knight however, does not need to touch people to use his powers. His eye sight is also way better then mind readers, as well as his smell, as shown in this video. Tek Knight is exactly like a mind reader, but better.
