Malaria cases are often concentrated in geographic areas or among specific populations. A strong malaria information system-including effective surveillance, monitoring and evaluation (M&E), and a strengthened routine health information system -can provide timely and reliable data. This campaign has significance in light of global warming. Global warming leads to changes in ecology of organisms and that means relitively minor disease outbreaks can become major pandemics.
