Dimash's voice range is 6 octaves and a few halftones, now closer to 7 octaves than before. This contest is "I am Singer" very prestigious in China. Only renowned Chinese singers perform there, by invitation only. Dimash was invited as a wild card, the only foreigner, the youngest in the history of the competition, unknown in China. The competition is murderous, lasts 4 months. They put Dimash first because they didn't think it would go any further. The people shown in the video are other competitors who hear him for the first time. The judges are 500 people, all from the music industry and 1.6 billion TV viewers. After this performance, Dimash became a night sensation in China, in one day the song had 600 million views on Weibo. In China, he is now famous, very loved and respected. Keep reacting to Dimash. Definitly check out Across Endless Dimensions. But also I would suggest Daybreak from his Bastau concert. It is a truly epic performance... one I keep coming back to watch again and again.
If you want to see him sing rock you have to check out The Show Must Go On, one of his other performances on The Singer. His pronunciation isn’t great as he was just beginning to learn English, but his singing ability more than makes up for it.

The Singer is a competition for established famous singers on invitation only - which already is considered an honor. Dimash was invited as a wild card completely unknown to the Chinese audience and at 22 the youngest ever. Hi from México! There's so much to say about Dimash. You may start your journey Across The Singer contest. As at the first song, SOS he showed he was overqualified, they gave him the position of invited artist and who won the contesta was a chinese female Singer, and Dimash in second place. Before The Singer, he had already won many awards in his country and eastern countries. He has been trained since the age of five. He had 6 years old when he won a piano competition. His parents are singers and considered "honorable artists of Kazahkstan". Dimash has now 26 and on june 18th he got his Master degree in musical composition. He plays piano, guitar, drums, dombra (national instrument from his country). He had sang in 10 languages. He speaks kazakh, russian, English and still learning mandarín. He has a loving personality, he is kind and funny and humble. His vocal range is more than 7 octaves (nobody really knows how far he can go). @@rikon524 and that only in China cause the álbum was releases digitally first on QQ music only weeks later was released digitally worldwide on Amazon music iTunes etc and only a couple of months later the physical álbum was released only in China many fan clubs worldwide with the help.of Chinese fan club and fans were able to buy the álbuns from there so that way Foreigner fans could have I was the first portuguese Dear to have it Im still old fashion I rather spend money on a physical CD sadly do not Know how much it did sell but I don,t doubt probably alot can,t wait for his Next álbum its gonna be in khazaq language its the continuation of how proud he is of his country and intruduce its culture to the world through his music 😍

He was completely unknown in China when he sang this song. He woke the following morning to find he'd had 600 Million hits on Weibo the Chinese Instagram. He needed security guards for the rest of the series. Now 3 years on he is a Megastar in China, Kazakhstan and Russia with fans all over the world. Last December he sold out his first solo concert in the USA at the Barclays Center New York 19,000. He can sing any style of music in 12 different languages and in any vocal register. He is not only the best singer in the world, but (in my opinion) will go down in history as a Phenomenon. 😊🏴👍
Hoping you decide to do a Dimash playlist. Subscribed for more. He has a huge catalogue of songs and I know you’ll get lots of suggestions. This was three years ago so you may want to decide whether you’re going to continue from the beginning (S.O.S was his first performance on the Singer 2017) and carry on with more episodes from the singer or if you want to do more recent performances. Great reaction. First time listening to Dimash is mind blowing and leaves one speechless. I'm primarily a rock/metal fan and just by accident heard this song and was left in a daze. He signed with Chinese BG Talent in 2016 before going on I am Singer. Don’t think it’s for more than 5 years? And in June, signed with American IPZ agency. He’s wants control over his creative work, I’m sure both sides are happy.

I've got a "special" thing against these sharks, as they are after profit only and they translate every "move" their artists make into a "what's in it for me" stuff; I am particularly referring to Dimash's charity work and time spent with various people with special needs.

I am always irritated that he is not well known in the West here. He is such a huge star in Asia but in the English speaking world? Crickets. I really wish he could somehow get a bit more known in the UK as that could be a nice start for the Western Market and is probably easier than the US. He does sing faster, more rocky things; he actually slides between genres pretty easily which is great. Anyway, thanks for an awesome video!
I am just now hearing him in the US on this review. However I think that for him to be successful in the US and probably Canada as well he would really need to start singing more songs in English.most people pick songs to listen to that they can sing along with or run to or play on their playlist and those are always in English for the most part.

This was a chinese show for highly respected singers to compete, Dimash was the only non Chinese singer invited because the producer saw him perform for the Chinese and Kazakh presidents and was very impressed. He is from Kazakhstan is 6ft 3, 1/4 and was the youngest ever competitor in 2017 at only 22 years old. This was his first performance on the show and the audience went wild for him. When the show was broadcast on tv he had to have bodyguards for the first time in his life as he had become a superstar overnight in China. He is now a world class artist, still just turned 26 on the 24th of May but touring the world to sell out arenas with his solo concerts, (on hold until next year due to covid-19) he also performs in concerts with the famous russian composer Igor Krutoy, is constantly collecting awards, attends many prestigious red carpet events, film festivals and even models for lots of high end fashion houses. He is university trained in Classical opera vocals to degree level, also holds a degree in contemporary pop music and jazz with a major in vocals, and now has finished his master degree in music composition with a top mark of 100%. He has been having singing lessons from the age of 5 when his teacher noticed he had perfect pitch . He was offered a place at the Astana Opera in Kazakhstan but respecfully turned it down to persue his own more contemporary musical career. He is a multi instrumentalist, more than 8 instruments and also sings in 12 different languages and has a range of over 6 octaves from a low bass A2 to a high soprano, plus a whistle register with his highest note so far being a 5 second D8 with vibrato. He is widely recognized as the best vocalist in the world. He speaks fluent Kazakh and Russian, is studying English and Mandarin and has conversational skills in both but not quite fluent yet. He did all the arrangements for the Singer and is a musical genius in his own right. As you keep watching Dimash and listening to his songs, you will hear also of Igor Krutoy; Igor is a very famous Russian composer who heard Dimash (you can see him standing up and clapping at the end of « Sinful Passion »), and was so impressed that he came out of retirement to write songs especially for Dimash. From their collaboration you will hear « Ogni Pietra, Passione and Your love ». Dimash sings in 12 languages, and plays at least 5 instruments, I had a vocal range of 6 almost 7 octaves. Dimash is a master of breath control and has the ability to change cords, manipulate his cords into doing what seems to be the impossible. He has been timed to 22 seconds of taking you on a almost impossible journey from a single breath. It is the Soundtrack to a movie called "Creators, the Past" an Italian fantasy film which was supposed to be released this past spring but didn't due to the Covid19 pandemic. Dimash was 22 years old when he was on the show "I am a Singer". He was a "wild card" contestant, not being a professional Chinese singer. He wowed the World. The day after this performance he needed bodyguards to go around town. He started Classical training at 5 years old and was on the path to be an opera singer. He turned down a position in an Opera Company in order to branch out into other genres. He had since become the "Best Singer" in the world. He can sing anything from Rap to Opera to Pop. And do it with a 6+ octave range and pitch perfect. The professional Vocal Coaches have commented that between his physiology and his extensive training, all he has to do is WANT to hit a note and his body will do whatever it has to do to give him the power to "get it done". He really is amazing. Anything you choose to react to from him will blow you away. The real "magic" of Dimash is not only does he have the technical prowess to sing better than anyone else. He has the gift of "telling the story" that the song is conveying. A rare combination.
