They do share some similarities with Twenty One Pilots but they are an amazing band and their music is very well done. I would actually like for Half•Alive and Twenty One Pilots to do a song together. I think it would be very interesting and a wonderful song.

Really enjoyed the video, super glad to see you’re covering half•alive. Their music is great, and really this band deserves the attention. I like how you brought up Josh’s old band The Moderates. That band actually produced some amazing songs as well and everyone should definitely check them out! Their song Black and White literally could be a half•alive song it’s cool how Josh definitely had this style already going.

I love their music! I didn't know a lot of the facts and it makes me appreciate the band even more. I was, however, hoping that this video would expand a bit on the copying tøp issue though. When the band started out, their image had heavy parallels to tøp. The singer wore a floral kimono in one of the music videos, that same video had a scene identical to that of the guns for hands video, they made a symbol reminiscent of tøp's: ~|•, and started with a singer/rapper and a drummer. They also had dark imagery for promo pics and videos, much like those from blurryface era. Now, their image is much more their own and I'm grateful for that, especially because the music has always been great.

The thumbnail was exactly my reaction when I heard of them. So I heard tip-toes and I was like um yes amazing bop I love this and then I checked their profile and expected to see tip-toes on the top 5 but it wasn’t there. Then I saw that they only made like 6 songs and I’m really confused 😂

I actually got into them 3 years ago during the hiatus when the clique were claiming that they were copying tøp. It makes sense that I fell in love with the band since both bands do share some similarities. I went to their concert last November and they were amazing I'm so proud of how far they've come 👏🏿

Josh Taylor is actually an incredible dude. Seriously think he's gonna be one of the best storytellers in music over the next few years. I love the fact that he directs all their music videos, and has his own youtube channel where you can go watch his older stuff and really get to understand his brain more. Super cool.

I think comparing half•alive to TØP is kind of unfair to both bands. half•alive has only four songs out so far (or so does Apple Music tell me) & Alternative/Indie music has a broad spectrum of influences everyone should have access to. I really love The Fall for being a simple, kind-of melancholic love song or rather "song about love" I don't necessarily find in most TØP songs. Maybe it's just me but I think people should wait for more songs to be released before they completely sign them off as some "copy", I think they'll find great enjoyment in the band.

I will say that some of their past songs have taken a lot of influence from TØP but still feel sounds a lot more unique but also kinda fun and the music video looked cool too. I really liked it and i hope they write more songs like that in the future
