@@tncrafpece9371 I would say Sean/daniel, but probably also because I relate pretty heavily to them and I think their characters were so perfect for the time that game came out and everything that was happening in the US at the time, it was so real and their problems and hardships were real problems and hardships that so many others were going through at the time. I liked that I felt their characters were normal teenagers who reacted the exact same way I probably would if I woke up and my little brother had super powers, it was hard not to fall in love with them and every ending was a good one, not as cannon event-esque as the other game I feel like. Max was definitely a cool character but wasn’t super layered to me and kinda hard to identify with, it felt like I was watching her story but with LiS 2 I felt like I was apart of their story :)

@@thisisforaclassproject You make great points !It's true that Sean and Daniel's story is way more "realistic" because a lot of people in real life need to escape to different countries while it's pretty rare two ex-bestfriends solve an unsolved crime,while has a better voice acting performance (IMO) and is more iconic with better dialogues,but again it's just my opinion.I guess those characters are all good in different ways so it just depends what you prefer !

I really like this. In the first game Max accidentally created a parallel timeline, so to have her now be able to travel between two parallel timelines just builds on and expands that.

The directors said they will respect both endings, so I think it depends of the players choice... Or the 2 timelines mentioned in the trailers reflect both endings in the first game🤓

That will depend entirely on what ending you choose to be dealing with. Like with LIS2 and the Wavelengths DLC, the game will ask you in some way and adjust accordingly.

Why does this game feel like a reboot? Where's Chloe? Why are there no references to Arcadia Bay? Max's past is something so important that it helps in the composition of the characters, I think it's cool to bring new people to the franchise, but as a player of previous games I found this idea of separating Max from two origins so strange. I hope to change my mind by the game's release, but I'm very worried.

Damn, that's worrying. I'm avoiding trailers and whatnot to not get spoiled, and unlike most, I wasn't ecstatic about this sequel. The only proper way to start this story is to show how Max is still depressed with guilt of sacrificing Chloe. Otherwise, this sequel doesn't work, because Max wouldn't do this. She sacrificed Chloe to save Arcadia Bay. Why would she not do the same now years later when she knows the consequences.

They milked the franchise. Everything after the first game has been awful. It was a surprise hit so they milked it. Nothing after LiS 1 even came close. And this looks terrible too. The trailers, the interviews, the gameplay vids. Should have been a one and done game. Not a franchise. Infact all these terrible sequels, prequels and spin-offs ruin the 1st game in a sense.

@@MattiaBulgarelli Revelations' remodel Ezio got the short end of the stick too 😆 They did him way dirtier than D9 did new Max model-wise though. I absolutely hated it back then, still do. But the game hasn't just brushed off everything related to him. His story was still thought-out, engaging and required going in depth for an entire subset of games. The world building wasn't just for superficial exploration and a few hours of gameplay either. That's milking that actually took some serious investment and resources and it didn't come out 10 years later ignoring pretty much everything we knew to be true in his life. Same-ish for Lara. As for her, she started out as polygons so I'm not mad 😄

Life is Strange was always supposed to be an anthology, the original creators always said that they wanted to make a new story with new characters every time. It’s clear that this new company wants to play it safe with this game, which is why they brought back Max, time powers, and a murder mystery. It was never supposed to be that way, that’s why Life is Strange 2 was so different and risky, but it ended up being great, it was something fresh and new and gave us new perspectives. In my heart, Max and Chloe’s story is over. Sean and Daniels story is over. You can’t make a continuation of a previous Life is Strange game because you can’t pick a canon ending, it ruins the whole point of the games.

it was supposed to be. DontNod is the company who made Life Is Strange 1 and Life is Strange 2. They said they always wanted Life is Strange to be an anthology and never wanted to continue Maxs story. They wanted it to be an anthology but DeckNine (dif company) bought the rights to Life is Strange, and they made Before the Storm and True colors, now they’re making this game

tbf bringing Max back was already hard considering the two different endings but lis2 would be harder with 4 different endings which also show Sean and daniel's life far into the future.

I dont know man... I think they should let max's story rest. It was such a perfect ending, no need to make up some shit just to bring back nostalgia. Kinda sucks

There is one thing that really puts me off this iteration of the game: The facial expressions look terrible. Look at the lips on the first 10s of the game. Looks really weird as if they are trying to be as photorealistic as possible while still being such a cartoony artstyle. Its uncanny.
