Her description of Jamie was too accurate like I know I should be bringing Emmett home but before that I might get my heart annihilated by Jamie first you know?
Honestly J.D. is the greatest. I would die for him even though I shouldn't. Like he's awful but I love him. Is there something wrong with me? Do I have a savior complex? Okay, I just googled it and I definitely have a savior complex. Go figure.
My thing with Jason Dean; He’s a psychopath. But But But To be fair he *did* watch his mom die right in front of him. He moved around a lot and his dad is a jackass. He’s also a source of the dark humor Heathers is known for. He’s mentally unstable from when we hear him sing about the healing powers of numbing yourself with gas station beverages (to each their own I guess) Now, that brings me to Christian Slater’s JD. He shows signs of a psycho even *before* we see him in the gas station. He fires blanks at students in the SAME SCENE we meet him in. Also in the movie he um..kinda sexually assaults Veronica, so for me that was, first of all, a wake up call to the fact that JD is clingy as fuck, but on the other hand, Veronica is the only person he feels loves him (then he tries to kill her?) and in the end he trades his life for hers. Also Kurt and Ram were gay all along.
@@heartears In the myth he was so sad and swore to never love again and became super sad and depressed and only sang sad stuff and wherever he went everyone else was also sad until he was murdered by Dionysus’ groupies because he wouldn’t party with them and oaky happy upbeat music anymore 😳
He’s also dumb as hell, was so distracted by writing his song that he let his fiancée starve, and he was so insecure that he looked back. I love him to death but he’s B tier at best
@@bibliophilecb The cons of dating a musician but no one's perfect when it came down to it he went to rescue Eurydice and I really can't blame him for his insecurities. He was making a deal with a god, something very few heroes could do let alone a common musician?
@@amphitritemists4595 haha as a musician myself, fair, but that doesn’t excuse his friend Hermes literally saying “it’s not a trick dumbass” and then him still going “hmm must be a trick” 😂
"Don't let me drink wine and talk about musicals on the internet ever again." Ok so we definitely need to get Kat to drink wine and talk about musicals on the internet again...and again...and again
Omg, he’s so clingy that he hangs outside your house all night... so that he can kill you and explain his plan to bomb a pep rally, BUt the mAin thing is the clinginess
Enjolras is just literally the perfect man. That’s part of why he could never be the perfect boyfriend because he’s so much better and above all that. Still S tier though because I’m willing to be the unrecognized supportive wife as long as it’s Enjolras.
I feel this! I started reading the books when I was the same age as Percy is in the first one and now I'm too old to read the Lightening Thief and sigh over him! It's super weird.
The fact that “he would murder for you” came us SO MANY TIMES is concerning And honestly? I get it about Enjolras, especially Aaron Tveit as Enjolras. I’ve had a crush on that man since 2012 because of the Les Mis movie 😂
Enjolras’s to-do list 1. France 2. His hair 3. Revolution (for France) 4. Grantaire (putting the bottle down) 5. Falling out a window (preferably with flag of France) 6. Idk prob France (or Grantaire)
You know you’re watching a good production of les mis when you see enjolras and think “well guys that’s it, guess I’m going to die because there’s no way I could not join this revolution”
More people I’d like to see on the list: fiyero, rapunzel’s prince, Aaron from mean girls, frank butler, Henry Higgins, Anthony from Sweeney Todd, Rodger from Rent, Tony from West Side Story, and Dmitri from Anastasia
Part 2 should include: Evan Hansen, Davey, Crutchie, Bert, Fiyero, The Baker, the guy from Pippin (I forgot his name,) the beast, Aladdin, Lucas from the Addams Family, Aaron Samuels, Dmitri from Anastasia, Christian from Moulin Rouge, Charlie from Kinky Boots and Kristof
K: *says how romanticising Phantom is bad* Also K: *confesses her crush on fictional characters who also done bad* Me: Katherine, you're drunk, please sleep. XD
Kinda sad that she said that cause Phantom was judged all his life just for his face and it was sad that noone loved him and that all people did was cower in fear cause of his face. All Phantom wanted was love, but all people cared about was looks. And I bet that if Phantom was real and he was in todays society he would still get judged even now. Sure he did bad things but everyone does something bad in their life. So for me I felt bad for Phantom cause people just judged him without even taking the time to truly get to know him. I know deep down that Phantom is actually a pretty sweet guy if you ever get to know him.
QOTD: emmet from legally blonde, Link Larkin and seaweed, JD but he’s hella problematic, honestly Jeremy from be more chill but like, after the squip, I just like the nerdy boys, and the problematic bad boys. 😅 EDIT: And model from fiddler Edit again: literally any of the newsies boys
Oh my word I would cry. I feel like Timothee would be a better NYTW Orpheus than a Broadway Orpheus. Broadway Orpheus is a total dork and I personally feel like Timothee doesn’t fit that vibe? But him and Damon in the same role ... 🥵
Idk if anyone has pointed this out yet but ~technically~ Seymour didn’t really kill anyone. The dentist killed himself (after trying to harm Seymour through unnecessary mouth surgery) and Audrey II killed the shop owner. If anything he’s an accessory to murder. This is the hill I will die on
How is Fiyero from Wicked not on here? The guy’s a smooth dancer and has proven his ability to grow as a human being and love someone well. And if we could date anyone and make them love us, I’d have to say Peter from Bare. Great call on Seaweed Stubbs, by the way. 👍🏻
I know this is a weird specific thing to ask, but I would be interested ti see you do a video on the sexism within musical theatre. I know that sexism is akward to talk about, but I would like to hear your thoughts on the repetitive sexist troopes. Such as the naive pretty woman who are just like the old 'ideal woman'; the Madonna vs. Whore complex (like in Les Miserables or Hamilton); the idea of the female muse to a man; the over perfect persona in many females; how so many females big song and character drive is love. I would love to hear you talk about that as well as maybe sexism offstage? A topic I want more people to talk about.
@@enzojose4001 Well it isn't completely accurate. For instance Angelica was already married before Eliza and Alexander married, and also it was Peggy who helped Alexander and Eliza get together, not Angelica. And with the topic of sexism in the show, Peggy wasn't the seductress as in Say No To This. She also did know about the letter from her husband and wrote to Alexander beforehand to warn him. It seemed she even blamed herself and felt guilt as in one of her letters to him she wrote something along the lines of "I wish I did not exist". (There is a video somewhere on RU-vid that gives a historic account of Maria's situation.) And yet she is reduced to a women who is only seen as sexy, and not a young mother in a abusive marriage trying to help her daughter. So the Madonna Whore complex is still there. And it's sad how much Maria is reduced to in the perspective of the show.
@@annarose932 And 90% of the characters are racist and supported slavery in real life. I really hate Hamilton musical because it's just an united states fairy tale.
@@enzojose4001 Yeah I think I do understand that. It does point out slavery but focuses on the privileged white people of the era, and although it doesn't shy away from the problems of the men in power, it paints them more as a hero. I don't think Lin meant to cause harm, and I feel that casting mainly non-white performers to play these historic figures was a help in giving more people of colour thr spotlight in which they don't deserve. And of course turning the roles around as it has been white people playing people of colour, as Cleopatra has been so many times consistently. Of course currently now the focus is to create more stories about people of colour.
QOTD: so the baker, is pure bb and I love him Also OGIE FROM WAITRESS, I want him to recite poetry to me because he’s the best poet ever And I want to be friends with Babara and Adam Maitland because I feel like they’d give great advice
I think you just like Jeremy Jordan in general because you just put him on that list THREE TIMES!!!😂 plus two other roles that he has played or is going to play in the future, but I won’t judge😂
QOTD: Benny from “In the Heights” (or am I just in love with Chris Jackson??). Either way, my heart flutters at the end of “When You’re Home” every time!
WHEN YOU SAID ENJOLRAS’S TIER LIST WITH GRANTAIRE AS HIS NUMBER TWO PRIORITY I NEARLY CHOKED REMEMBERING ALL THE LES MIS FANFICTIONS I READ IN MIDDLE SCHOOL
Honestly I think most Heathers fan girls live in the fantasy that if THEY were dating JD like they could change him and he'd be a better person because of them (at least I know I do...)
Emmet’s comeback line in legally blonde comes right after he volunteers to help Elle in the courtroom and says , “and I don’t have to hit on interns, professor” for anyone else who was wondering
My Broadway crushes: Dewey Finn - School of Rock Emmet Forrest - Legally Blonde (And I don’t have to hit on interns will never not be iconic) Nick Bottom - Something Rotten Nigel Bottom - Something Rotten The Baker - Into the Woods Mendel Weisenbachfeld - Falsettos Henry - Next to Normal Boq - Wicked Fiyero - Wicked Davey - Newsies Dmitri - Anastasia Christian - Moulin Rouge Also, would being in love with an anthropomorphic cat be classed as Beastiality?
It wouldn’t, because they’re still basically humanoid. It’s more in line with having a crush on a furry, or even a like catboy depending on how realistic the costume is. So if you do, it’s fine. Kinda weird, but fine.
The issue with beastiality is a lack of consent, not that they're anthropomorphic, and it would probably be easier to list anthros who aren't able to consent. So, don't worry, let your love for anthros run wild and free.
Emmett Forrest - the guy who cares enough to push you to reach your true potential knowing you have it in you, realizes he can learn a thing or two from you, and stands up to his boss after said boss sexually harasses you - is absolutely S tier.
WHY DID I FORGET ABOUT DIMITRI?! Any character played by Derek Klena can get right into that S tier for me. Dimitri, Fiyero, Tommy Ross. Just all of them.
The great thing about online class is that you can be watching something completely different in another tab and as long as your mic is off, no one will be the wiser.
I realized what having a Stage-Crush was when my high school did Les Mis. HUGE crush on the kid playing Enjorlas, but only when he was playing the part on stage lol
