My man was so god damn powerful that he became stronger than the force of willpower, became his own force of will and returned to humanity by transferring his own will entity self into a ring made of his own willpower.....Hal is next level.

Fun fact: Hal Jordan was the first person to overcome the Green Lantern Corp’s weakness to the color yellow :) he’s just that guy (even though he seems to get shafted a lot by most people).
@@Astronimest I hope you realize that no matter how many times you complain about the impurity being removed, someone is always going to make the weak to yellow joke. And it's funny every god damn time. Also, you know why yellow was originally a weakness? Because the green lanterns needed to have something to keep them from abusing their powers. And the writers realized how dumb wood was as a weakness. On earth, wood is a very common resource. If humans wanted to revolt against a tyrant lantern, they could just beat them with wooden clubs. But not every planet is going to have wood. So the writers made the weakness the color yellow. Yellow is easy to make. You would be hard pressed to find a planet where you cannot get easy yellow. And thus, the wood weakness was changed to a yellow weakness. And then it was retconned so that rather than the yellow weakness being a thing to keep lanterns from enslaving a planet, the yellow weakness was a thing because the fear demon was released from the green lantern core. Lame. I am going to pretend that DC did not do that because it kinda ruins the dark lore implications and the funny "your weakness is the color yellow" shenanigans.
him and flash are those dudes that are only limited by the writers… you have a ring that can create ANYTHING you think of, that is so powerful, but now he’s more comic relief
Same goes for blue beetle. The scarab literally operates on the same powerset as the presence and stated it could stomp the spectre and sensed phantom strangers presence
One thing I dislike heavily about Hal Jordan. Willpower is strong, but he has NO CREATIVITY whatsoever. Like he makes the same 5 constructs in every fight I swear
Not really the rings cannot physically kill someone and if you do they power off and you get a hearing infront of the guardians and evem john wick cant beat them
Always felt the creation of Parallax was on the Justice Leagie for not backing Hal's desire to try to bring back Coast city from destruction. If supes had wanted to turn back time, everyone would have been on board.
@@cominusofficial Sorry, I'm working off fairly vague memories of a storyline I read 30 or so years back. Perhaps time travel wasn't Hal's exact solution, but he did have some sort of proposition, which was nixed by the league, that had struck me as one that would have been seen as not unreasonable if proposed by Superman....
Injustice??? Nobody helped superman go back in time not to only save the millions of people who died in metropolis which included some teen titans but as well as his wife and child.
@@trrbrian4k402 A Terrible scenerio for both characters. The two main differences to me are 1 Hal wanted to retroactively repair his issue, Superman moved ahead with a new agenda. 2 Hal had ZERO support from the league whereas Superman had others such as Wonder Woman and Cyborg backing him.

Was supermans goal, or even agenda involved bringing them back or finding a way to fix it. Definitely. However Barry was still there and he didn’t help by running back in time. Tbh Clark should of have enough adrenaline in the heat of money to travel back a few hours to resolve his issue.

Yeah he's the only one. Even the guardians of the universe were shocked at that feat since until then only a guardian could create a green lantern ring.

Where one may see " token" , it could quite easily and rightly so to see a pioneer, the first , a new beginning, a starting point. Sort of like Wolverine or " Weapon X" being the first Canadian superhero in mainstream comics. Or Alpha Flight being the first Canadian superhero team. I am pretty sure that no one considered them tokens but, rather celebrated such an accomplishment. To agree or disagree, is irrelevant. What is relevant is objectively, facts and respect. Let's not use this section to promote stereotypes. Rather, appreciate that the writers, artist and publication chose to break new ground by introducing a John Stewart character and develop him, so well over the past few decades. Just as I can find an appreciation in Alpha Flight and Wolverine / Weapon X.

Kyle Rayner was torn apart by the Sinestro Corps in the Injustice storyline, the canonical Kyle Rayner would have cleared all of them in a few minutes at worst
In injustice a lot of heroes got nerfed so that they could get killed and so there won't be any arguments that this "hero" could have done "this" to save an outcome or situation, because you know... they're dead.
That would be very hard to do given his skill set and the fact that they would need to fix the original GL movie they made, introduce Guy Gardner, and Jon Stewart and then bring in Kyle. Plus if the end goal is to get him to his white lantern ring, they would need to introduce every other Corp and their leader except the Death Corps, and bring in the guardian that Kyle had the closest connection to because it was literally to save that Guardian's life that he was finally able to use the Purple ring and achieved the power of the White Lantern
No he hasn't. Hal created a ring purely out of his own willpower, something thought to be possible only for the guardians of the universe. Hal also resurrected himself with his willpower. Man literally had enough willpower to say no to death. He also defeated the manifestation of will in the universe itself, Ion. There's no beating Hal Jordan at being green.
He's up there in the top 5-3 but it's not because he has a strong will, it's because he has enough physical strength to match fucking 3 Supermen all at once.
@@nimbusxd91 yeah, Superboy prime was fucking beast, at his weakest point, he was casually throwing around 4 Supermen and taking on all 70+ members of the Justice League, it's impressive Sodam Yat was able to last so long against him 1 on 1 when literally no one else could, even Ultra Buffed Connor got walloped.
Even though the green lantern weakness is the color yellow, most green lanterns can easily overcome their weakness with enough willpower. This makes them the best DC superheroes

Like Kyle is the most powerfull Lantern when he is a white lantern. Alot of people say Kyle is the strongest and most powerfull Green Lantern but that is only bc of what he did as a white lantern. Also when Hal became the god of light he was the strongest Lantern but bc of Hal's expirience with Parallax he gave up the power.
Each of the green lanterns have their own qualities that make them stand out, which I think is neat. Kyle is an artist, so his constructs are the most creative. John's constructs are the most solid because of how technically-minded he is. Hal has the most willpower, as in he never gives up. Almost like having a lot of mental stamina. Guy has the most potent willpower. He's strongest in short bursts and can overload his own ring. Hal's first ring detected Hal and Guy as potential candidates at the same time, but went to Hal because he was closer and it was an emergency, but Guy was officially rated as having more willpower at that time. I don't know enough about Baz or Jessica Cruz to have anything to say about them, though.
If they could team up then they’ll be unstoppable Hal Kyle and John I mean think about it he give their rings some of his will power and then John uses it to help Kyle make stronger mechanical constructs
Hal is just that guy he actually holds back around people he cares about not even using half his strength and he even flew so fast once he almost entered the speed force
Funny thing is that how Jordan no matter what Lantern Corps he's in even when he was in the Sinestro Corps was massively powerful as in more powerful than anyone else in the core. Except for in the Injustice Universe in Injustice University was Major League Nerf. But no matter what reinke's forced upon whether it's the Black Lantern ring the Red Lantern ring the Green Lantern ring is written in their books that he would become the greatest Lantern of that type. Go re-read The War of Light and you'll see that is written in in several of the books that he's supposed to be the greatest of lantern of that type. I think they even put in the book about him being the greatest Yellow Lantern

Hell yea Hal has always and will always be my favorite DC hero, the first comic i had of him was a small volume he went to prison (accidentally killed a criminal I believe) and sinestro would pop in taking him to space teaching him to be a “proper” lantern until the inevitable end where sinestros people rise up against him along with Hal and he becomes the fear mongering villain we all know and love.
That is John steward he has a background in architecture. He has the most durable constructs because of his understanding of how they are built in his imagined construction.
Just an honorable mention, but kilawogs up there too it’s stated in the comics that he alone covers his own starfield and helps others with theirs he’s also a new lantern trainer
Correction: Hal Joran was POSSESSED by a being called Parallax, who housed the Color of Fear, Yellow. Since they were a fear-based parasite they were housed in the core causing the weakness to the color within the Green Corps in the first place.
Imagine being a yellow lantern pulling up on mb and just hearing "Don't lose your way in your mind. We have to be as one. Don't be afraid, my sweetheart. This is the way to be more strong" before getting vibe checked by a mech
Parallax was actually, in fact a seperate entity all together. He is the entity that embodies Fear itself and that also powers Sinestro’s Yellow Lantern Corps. It, much like how Ion is the Will entity and *chooses* a host (Kyle Rayner and Sodam Yat), Parallax unwillingly *possesses* its host and slowly takes over them. In fact The Guardians were able to subdue the creature many many years before they initiated The Green Lantern Corps, but were unable to kill it. So they trapped it deep within their Central Power Battery. It is the reason why, for a long time, The Green Lanterns power was useless against the colour Yellow. Parallax was planning its escape slowly and methodically taking over a new host, the most powerful Green Lantern, Hal Jordan. It slowly took over him and the first indication of his possession was the white streaks in his hair. Then the biggest factor was Hal losing Coast City, him beating and leaving Lanterns lost in space, killing a few and destroying the GL Corps, including the Power Battery enabling Parallax to escape. And when Hal gave into his fears, it was like child’s play for Parallax to take over. There are also other Entities as well: The Butcher (Rage) Ophidian (Avarice) Adara (Hope) Proselyte (Compassion) Nekron (Death) The Entity (Life) Umbrax (Guilt or Shame) The Predator (Love) (Not the same as the 1987 character)
It’s currently John and has been for years. He is so strong he had the guardians wipe his mind so he would forget he’s the strongest lantern. He’s currently fighting without a ring and still creating constructs
The funny thing is, Hal doesn't even have the most willpower. That's Guy. The only reason Hal got the ring first was because he was right next to Abin Sur
